Enjoyable time spent in pleasant atmosphere enjoying the company of good friend whilst eating tasty food
Went with our 2 grandchildren and all plates were cleared which is testament to the food quality. The service was superb but the only downside was 12.5% was included in the price. I know of one group who included a 10% tip in addition, who hadn’t noticed the service charge already included. Their complaint was why didn’t the waitress mention it? The answer is check the bill before parting with money!
Friendly service, good food and lunch menu good value. Would go again
Always enjoy eating at Bill’s. Attentive staff and good value food and drink. Nice amount of room between tables,
Fantastic, very attentive service.
Lovely food and great atmosphere.
Just the loveliest service from the host to the waitress…it made the whole experience delightful. Thank you.
So helpful when we asked if we could have our food served quickly as we needed to get an earlier train than planned due to an incident on the line. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating even though they already had a wedding party of 40 to serve.
Table booked for three.
Meal 1 was a burger which was ok.
Meal 2 fish. The thinnest slither of fish we had seen. Hidden by greenery perhaps to make the plate look full.
Meal 3. Chicken and mash. Very small piece of chicken which hid the equally small portion of mash. Again camouflaged by green leaves.
Initial service ok but very eager to clear away leaving one dinner with the potion of chips minus the plate.
Did mention it to server.
Will not return
Sirloin steak was good and cooked to our liking. Service was good too. However I would prefer to leave a tip directly to the serving staff and not be added to the bill.
We found Sherralee, our waitress, particularly helpful. It's rare to encounter such efficient, enthusiastic service and we feel it deserves a special mention.
Decent food and good service. An error with our order was rectified quickly with profuse apologies and a discount on our bill. Well done Bill's.
We sat outside, nice and peaceful and shady on a warm day. Staff were attentive and friendly, the food was good - iced peach tea very refreshing.
Great venue friendly staff fabulous food. What more to say? ! Went for Sunday brunch with my son which we really enjoyed.
Food came out cold, when booking we specified we needed a high chair to be told that there wasn’t any when we arrived. The table who arrived after us got a high chair immediately.
Nice experience eating here. Food is generally good particularly for dietary requirements. Can be noisy as often busy. Dog friendly inside which is helpful
All the meals were cold when delivered. The latte was lukewarm and the replacement was no better.
Great breakfast. Had previously had a few poor experiences but it has improved so much!
Sherralee our waitress was absolutely amazing, one of our group was on call and had to rush away. She got her food and drink all ready to take away and couldn’t have been more helpful!
Pleasant relaxed atmosphere and a a funky but pleasant menu!
Serving staff with great personality!!
We booked a table for 6pm as we had our children with us. The place is lovely and the staff friendly but we had to wait ages for each course. My husband and sons burgers were okay however my steak was really dry for a medium rare. The place became quite busy and very noisey after 19.30 if you are a couple or with friends and no children it would be a good place to eat. The place it quiet expensive for a family of four I wouldn't recommend it as there are cheaper places for families that serve good quality food. They do a special menu with 3 courses for a set price but only on selected days so if you are a family you are limited to those days and it's not available Fridays Saturdays or Sundays so if you are like us and go out at the weekends it's not a good place to go.
Friendly and welcoming, food was delicious. Nice spacious room.
superb absolutely superb - it as a stag night - a meal and a pot of tea - very civilised
Lovely meal and used the great set menu as it was a weekday along with the the ten pound off voucher for the wine. Not our first time at Bill's in Horsham and certainly not our last - will be back for more.
They have a set 2 or 3 course menu as well as the normal menu which was very reasonable. The service was great and the staff were friendly and approachable. We had a great meal here
The menu has changed for the worst and the food has definitely gone down hill. Alas the restaurant has gone from being a good and enjoyable dining experience to being very sub-standard. It is a real shame.
Whilst the meal overall was good the vegetables were quite poor and not cooked very well.
Food was small portions, cold and slow with drinks
Some tables too close together. Can hear your neighbours conversation. Very intruding. Toilets weren’t wonderful. A bit smelly liked on old mop had been used.
Last minute decision to pop out for dinner on the Aug bank holiday Monday. Most of the pubs we checked had already stopped serving food so we were really pleased that Bill's were still open. Food was lovely, service was friendly and efficient from Charlie. We had a great evening and a good end to the Bank Holiday weekend.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.
Lovely afternoon with friends. Food was absolutely delicious. The service was a little slow but great for us as it gave time to catch up as we hadn't seen each other for a year. We did experience some complications with some of the group ordering from the set menu. However the staff were really great at sorting out the issues involved and were happy to rectify any problems at the time.
Bill`s is a great place in the heart of Horsham... The building looks like a castle, so there must be some history there.
Great food last night.
Food was lovely but a little overpriced - coffee felt really small for what you pay.
The setting of this Bills is so lovely in the old town hall! Perfect for families, friends, couples... Great atmosphere, not too loud or rowdy but feels social and welcoming.
Unfortunately I do have to complain about the service - a girl who I think may have been the manager was very smiley and great, but everyone else just felt a bit all over the place.
On my arrival, I said to the person at the front our booking name and time and she replied and said 'I'm just in the middle of something but someone will be with you shortly'. Absolutely fine - but maybe say that before I've gone through all my details! Our waitress was fine but not particularly smiley or social, but the thing that really spoilt my experience was the guy who brought out our food handing me my breakfast plate for it to be absolutely boiling hot... He was carrying it with a napkin and handed it to my bare hands. Obviously I didn't want to drop it all over myself so I grabbed onto it and said 'oh my god that's hot' for him to not even react... Needless to say I now have blisters on my index finger... Didn't really expect to leave with an injury!
Didn't really feel like I could say at the time as our waitress wasn't the most friendly and also feel quite sympathetic with regards to reopening post COVID, however, upon reflection I felt this needed to be flagged so that other diners don't also end up with a burn! Wait time was really long as well but probably due to it being bank holiday weekend.
Usually love the service at Bills but really unhappy with my recent visit. I do however understand that staff have been furloughed etc, so I will try it again, but I won't be recommending it in a hurry sadly.
As good as usual. We sat outside for a change - really lovely atmosphere and very very good service. Will definitely sit outside again.
Breakfast with grandchildren - kids menu gave good options although smoothies were a let down
Went on a Sat evening, was quite full but didn't feel too busy or noisy and still plenty of outside seating. Food was all amazing and lovely cocktails. Prices a little on the higher side but you definitely get what you pay for. Server was lovely, attentive but not too in your face. Over all a great evening.
2 eggs on a 50p bread bun and a almost invisible piece of salmon ! Nothing royal about the eggs royale in Bills! I felt so embarrassed taking someone here for breakfast who came from overseas! They were shocked to then see this with a glass of juice each came to £33!!!!!!!! Could have a steak dinner for that
Rip off !
Garden breakfast was lovely would certainly have it again
Super efficient and friendly service making a rare family outing - mum and two 20 somethings - all the more special ! Lovely veggie selection and drinks to suit all tastes. Thanks
