Bill's Restaurant & Bar - Kingston
The outdoor riverside terrace is the perfect spot to spend a sunny afternoon with good friends and a cocktail or two.
Great food and staff were super friendly. The lights on top of our table were fluttering the whole time which was really annoying.
Steaks were great!!!
Perfect as always. Super friendly stuff and amazing food.
A varied menu offering delicious vegetarian options. I had Beetroot and Aubergine Wellington. Had it last time too and it’s delicious. The deserts are spectacular. I had Lemon Meringue Pie in a glass. Delicious.
And the staff so friendly and thanked us for dining there, I will go back again definitely
Lovely atmosphere, amazing service! Great food! Definitely recommend
It was amazing to eat in there. The food was delicious
We had a great lunch and always do everytime we come
Loved every minute of our dining experience at Bill’s. Excellent service, polite friendly staff, very attentive. Food was delicious. Definitely will be going back soon., thank you.
Quick service and great food! I love their pancakes!
Lovely restaurant with great variety of food and cosy interior!
Had a lovely lunch, just had starters but service was quick, staff were polite and made sure we had what we wanted throughout
Staff were good at being Covid compliant. The menu and especially the set menu was great.
Everything was great except the food. It really let us down and drove down the value.
A lovely meal out. Good friendly service and would recommend
Great food and atmosphere. Sadly process of ordering was a bit slow so we didn’t have time for desserts, but still a good experience overall. Would definitely recommend.
Food came out extremely quick but had to ask three times for our drinks. Waitress was lovely but I felt they were short staffed.
Overall, a disappointing night.
It was my company on the night that stop me complaining about the sub standard food.
A shame as I generally like Bill's and had many good experiences and different branches.
It has put me off Bill's.
Firstly, when we arrived at Bill’s we had to wait outside in a long queue, despite having a table booked. When we finally got seated we were placed in a cramped space (not in line with covid rules). The service was extremely slow, we asked for the bill several times before we received it. We also got charged for water that we presumed would be free, like other restaurants. In terms of the food it was extremely mediocre, my scrambled egg was clearly recooked and the portion was limited. My partners pancakes were extremely dry to the point he struggled to eat it, despite getting extra maple syrup. Our overall experience was poor and I wouldn’t recommend, we have had issues with bills before.
Golden syrup on pancakes?! And a very overcooked breakfast for my boyfriend, particularly the eggs and the portion size was a joke for £13. ni-one around to tell so we just had to brave it all. Second bad experience in the last few months and that’s done it for me I’m afraid.
The welcome was very nice and our server was rally nice and helpful! I am very happy about your Covid considerations and that you put antibacterial hand sanitiser on the tables, but my only negative is Please Please change that to a better brand! The smell is toxic on its own! Maybe just go with the Lifebouy one!
Great service and very organised re Covid. Still have the discounted menus - fab value.
great place to eat, waiting staff very friendly and food arrived quickly . not quite enough chips wthe the steak , but food was delicious
Excellent menu choice for breakfast. Fast and efficient service. Nice view by the river. Would visit again.
Great service by maitre d and other staff. Great food. Keep the Eat Out menu going please!
Food was delightful other than a couple of tweaks; salted Carmel and chocolate tart had far too many chucks of sea salt sprinkled on the top, wouldn't been fine without it and really on the salted caramel. The risotto was a little tasteless but cooked well.
When I arrived (it was my birthday) my mum was already there and the ladies on the table behind us were so incredibly loud we considered leaving. These ladies were speaking as if they were in a Wetherspoons. We asked to be moved away from them and the waitress replied to my mum 'everywhere is loud'. I'll be honest if she said that to me I would have left as thought it was very dismissive. We could still hear them to the point it would throw us off our conversation. I looked around and other couples reacted the same towards the cheering and screaming. I've been to bills many times with nothing bad to say usually but this service of ignoring the audio stench in the room is quite off-putting to come again. And for my birthday I did not enjoy my experience there.
Food was lovely especially starters and desserts and waitresses friendly. If someone is complaining of something that clearly may affect their whole experience then I think the right service would be see to the root of the issue rather than be bias.
We went out of our way to spend as little as possible due to this as I just wanted to leave asap. I had come all the way from Croydon.
Excellent service friendly staff would come back again!
The accoustics are really not great. In a full restaurant on Sunday the noise levels were challenging. We really had to elevate or voices to hear each other. V shouty .
So disappointed in our visit, the second during lockdown.
This time no one took our temperature. We were put in a seat right next to where other diners were queing which meant my mum's chair was constantly knocked (she is over 75 and this complete lack of social distancing was found very distressing).
Out of the 4 staff we saw, 2 of them weren't wearing their masks over their nose, only over their mouths.
I had to ask 3 times for my hot drink before it arrived.
This was my first time at Bills restaurant and I must say that the whole experience of trying it first time was amazing, the atmosphere, the service and more importantly the food was of good quality and very tasty.
Friendly staff, wonderful food ... and a complimentary birthday dessert with candle for our daughter. Our first time at Bill’s in Kingston, but certainly not our last!
Service great, not a lot of social distancing for tables.
Great experience overall, but we would have preferred our vegetables to be more cooked
I can’t compliment the staff’s attention and professionalism enough it’s such a joy that despite covered faces they were kind and attentive. The rest ie food was good.
The service and atmosphere is great. Food is good
They follow the COVID-19 rules, but are very welcoming and polite, service is very good and food is very good, what more can I say...
thanks to all the staff for making it a lovely experience
Good food and service. Love the sea bass and calamari
Lovely way to start a special birthday. We had the vegan breakfast and highly recommend the turmeric latte!
I was there in August and received discount on the bill (from government) however, this time I was surprised when I was provided the bill as I was charged full price. They told me we created a new menu for it but they didn’t give the menu to me, very disappointing.
Also I had asked for scrambled egg and they served the poached eggs and didn’t serve the drinks until we almost finished our meal.
But last time I was there in August service was very good even it was too busy.
Went for breakfast. Pancakes really tasty. Temp check on entering and hand sanitizer on all tables. Felt safe.
Great starters! Been twice and both times LOVED the sesame dumplings & the mini Cumberland sausages.
Mains were okay, nothing special. Had the steak the first time and both steaks were undercooked to how we requested them. The second time the chicken was pretty hard, which weren’t very pleasant but the mash and mushroom sauce it came with was lovely. The burger was pretty decent.
Drinks were pretty usual. I’m not a fan of the particular brand of lemonade served with the vodka, but a drinks a drink. I really enjoyed the watermelon cooler on my first visit though!
