Staff really - good service
Food was very tasty as always. Staff are personable and welcoming
Excellent service. Very friendly staff welcoming every customer despite being exceptionally busy! The food was lovely and always a lovely atmosphere at Bills in Sheffield.
Excellent popular place to eat. Menu has a variety of options including gluten free. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff. Value for money. Would definitely recommend to friends and family
Another very good experience at Bill's in Sheffield. Good food, great service and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
We arrived early (6.20pm) for our 6.30pm booking and got a quiet table as requested, which was nice. The staff were slow in offering us drinks but we weren't too worried as we had enough time (or so we thought) until our theatre booking which started at 8pm. However, after ordering food we had to wait until 7.10pm (40 mins) for the starters to arrive. We then asked if they could get on with the mains as we would have to leave around 7.45pm for the theatre. The mains arrived at 7.30pm and we said it was too late as we didn't want to bolt our food down and rush to the theatre. We paid for the starters and drinks and left. Very disappointed - and hungry! We shall not be rushing to go back there especially for a pre theatre meal.
I was disappointed with the prices, very expensive for a veggie burger and chips, a normal sized portion - £12.95. Also the desserts were more than I would have normally spent on a dessert. The waiter forgot our tap water at least 4 times and the cocktails were quite small for the price - £9 ish for a wine-glass sized cocktail. Overall I thought it was too expensive for what it was, and the service could have been better.
Excellent food, struggle with a service being added to bills nowadays
Tasty food, friendly staff, good ambiance and overall pleasant time. Breakfast was very tasty (Bill’s Brunch), and would order again
After enjoying Bill's in Lemington Spa we were please to find out there was one on our door step. Really pleased and will be back. Wasn't overly pleased with the small table for 2 cramped in the corner with larger tables closing us in. Noise from table of 4 next to us would have been uncomfortable but we had just finished as they arrived so pleased about that. Staff were excellent so I'm sure they would have sat us elsewhere if we asked. We did ask if we could reserve a table next time and was advised to make a note in the comments box when we book next so fingers crossed 🤞. It's great to find somewhere with friendly staff that actually look like they are happy and a menu with variety. Thanks guys for a great service 👍
Great service, staff were fantastic and very efficient.
Had to wait outside for 30mins after our booking time because the table wasn’t ready. When the food came my friend’s main course didn’t arrive and then one of the staff tried to gaslight her into thinking she hadn’t ordered one. In the end they gave us a discount but we’d already missed our next booking
Fantastic restaurant, staff very friendly. Service great, slight delay in serving mains but staff apologized and it wasn't too long a delay. Food was tasty and well presented. I can really recommend the chocolate and salted caramel tart with coconut icecream
Food was OK but a little expensive, probably under staffed but service was terrible.
We had a lovely meal and post theatre drinks yesterday. We all enjoyed the food. My sister had a bone in her fish pie, but otherwise really enjoyed the meal. Just 2 min walk from the lyceum. Staff were really friendly and attentative.
Great food and service. We would like to return and try other items on the menu.
First visit for our family & also our last(.3 adults,2 children). Childrens meals & starters came together as requested, unfortunately adults mains took quite a bit of time even after politely asking about them. Food was average, staff some better than others. Sadly 1 of the children were ill after eating. As we were paying the bill my mum showed my blueline nhs card & was told it couldnt be used on Saturdays, I pointed out it said on the website it could be used everyday. The person then said he couldnt take off the 20% due to not having a code. Very unhelpful person,as my niece wasnt feeling well i asked him to take service charge off the bill.Paid the bill left the restaurant & will not be visiting again.
Went for a lunch. Simple well made menu. Burger done perfectly. Love the small plates of things like wings and calamari. Parmesan garlic fries are amazing. Nice atmosphere and decor. Service was excellent. Would go again happily. Always enjoyed Bills
Our meals were good apart from fries which you could tell had been sat on the side a while and some overdone. Nice staff but for us a little pushy and over-attentive so didn’t come across as genuine. Good speed of service especially for a Friday night.
Wide ranging menu, excellent quality delicious food.
Serving staff were very nice and helpful. Food was delicious
The staff are always attentive at Bills, introduced by their first name, present but not intrusive. We had a big round table for our party of 6 but it felt a bit draughty in the window, might have been an air con duct or single glazed window, not sure.
Food is excellent standard, wide choice of menu and lots of it for an average restaurant price, approximately, £12-15 for a main meal. Staff are very switched on with regards to food allergies, so all needs are catered for. Would recommend for a good restaurant in the city centre.
Loved it - out of the ordinary breakfast. Right up my street and very tasty.
Fab food absolutely terrible service. Asked 4 times for tap water. Was asked if we needed any sauces, chose Mayo and ketchup, neither arrived. Had to ask again. Not attentive at all, think it was a student but she clearly needs retraining 😩
The service was slow as it was a busy night. The food arrived and the chicken in the chicken burger was chewy and tough. The waitress explained that I would receive a discount for this and then the bill came at full price with service included.
Would recommend here. Everything was amazing, the drinks were a bit pricey, seemed to be same prices to get a cocktail as if you are in London.
If this was brought down a bit we said we could come more often.
Perfect antidote to a wet and miserable Saturday. Warm welcome and great service from all the staff we encountered. Good menu choice to suit all of our group. Comfortable surroundings and just the right level of service. Thoroughly enjoyed!
We arrived for our booking at 6pm, it was a busy night with most tables being used. We were seated quickly and after around 5-10 minutes our order was taken. And then ..... we waited. Drinks arrived after another 10 minutes and a staff member informed us that the grill was busy but our meal would arrive soon. It was around 40 minutes later, our meal arrived. We didn't bother with a starter. Portions were smaller than I'd usually expect but the food was hot and tasty. Our plates took an age to be cleared. We had to wave someone down to order a dessert and ask that it could be hurried through as we had a prior engagement. Dessert took another 20 minutes to arrive, which we had to quickly eat and rush to pay. In total, we were there for 1 hour, 50 minutes to eat a 2 course dinner.
The staff were very welcoming and the service was amazing!
Good range of vegetarian and vegan food for my friends
We spent a long time in the restaurant because we hadn't seen our friends for years and at no time did we feel under any pressure to eat up and leave
Wonderful food and excellent service. 1st time in bill's and would definitely visit again
Nice place. Good food but slow service. Staff were helpful though
Been numerous times and never been let down. Food and service is awesome. Many thanks for a good time
This was our first time at Bill's so we did not know what to expect. We unfortunately found that the tables are quite close together leaving a narrow walk way. Which proved to be akward as my partner had originally planned to propose but said there was no room 🤦🏼♀️.
We also felt that the people on the other side of the divide were very close to us as we could hear everything they were saying. I think next time we might come with friends and family as its definitely more that vibe. The food was delicious!
Food was fine, staff were friendly, both food and drinks service was slow on a not particularly busy night
Visited Bill's for my birthday breakfast. Was a lovely visit. Staff very attentive and polite. Would definitely book again.
Our evening in Bill's was brilliant - the staff were very friendly and the food was fabulous - all in all we couldn't fault it and would defiantly recommend Bill's x
The restaurant wasn’t full, 4 tables in all we counted, the service was painfully slow, for drinks and food. The only saving Grace was the staff were friendly.
Food excellent as always
Service needs work
Disappointed that you have removed the blue light nhs discount after the pandemic thats very sad
Great welcome form the young lady who showed us to our table- made sure we were settled and chatted knowledgeably about the city and university to our son who was moving there for uni. A credit to your staff.
