Interior decoration created a nice atmosphere. Tables spread out with a quirky layout giving lots of different private areas. Food good quality with enough choice as was the drinks menu. Zoe our waitress very attentive and everything arrived in good time and as ordered.
We are a family of 6 which included 4 young children. It can be challenging going to a restaurant however our experience at Bills TW was amazing, calming, enjoyable and we all cleared our plates of the delicious, yummy food - looking forward to going back!!
We had a meze and some sides and a couple of glasses of wine. The carrot and parsnip side was cold and chewy as if it had been standing for a long time. The broccoli was nicely cooked but also cold. The mac and cheese was fine and the meze was excellent with generous portions of bread & avocado.
The restaurant is stunningly decorated but I was disappointed that the area we were sitting in was left with dirty tables for a long time - crumbs and dirty glasses and baby chairs were not put away. The candles around us were not lit. Later on, in the evening they were cleared and lit but it was disconcerting to see them being wiped onto the seats and the floor.
This was a better experience than the last one overall but there are still simple improvements that could be made with some better training for the staff.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff tho a bit frustrating that not all staff can take orders so you have to wait for someone else to come, but only a tiny critic.
Great meal as always, had a two and half year old with us and they couldn't have been more helpful in meeting all his needs.

We enjoyed our first meal at Bill’s in Lewes a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed the food and quick, friendly service so much that we needed to try the Tunbridge Wells Bill’s which is closer to home. 10/10.
My Daughter and I had a friendly response, the food arrived quickly but the table wasn’t cleared and we had to stack the plates up ourselves as a hint and also I had to ask for the desert menu that arrived as requested to serve singing happy birthday with a candle and it arrived with a tea light in a glass holder off of another table. Slightly poor ending to what hours have been a lovely night. Also the smell of sewage is very prominent as you walk downstairs to the toilet level. The air freshener you have on the stairs isn’t working I’m afraid other than that lovely food and smiles, just not quick on noticing when the course is finished for…ages!. I hope that helps you ?
I always felt the Bills had a good selection of veggie food, this time I was disappointed with the selection. I don't always want bread with a meal, like a burger, but always good for a choice. Would like a hot veggie choice like a tofu curry please!
I had the veggie salad this time visiting and it was really tasty and inventive.
I used to visit Bills in Lewes and knew Bill the owner quite well. I think he would have been shocked at the quality of the food that I received when I visited the Bills in Tunbridge wells. The Fish finger sandwich was awful, the bread was beyond dry the amount of Tarter sauce was literaly a scraping, as for the fish fingers they were over cooked. We did complain and we did receive money off our bill.
Always good at bills
The service was great. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. We didn't wait long for the food and when it arrived most of it was satisfactory. There was a lot of noise and commotion so we couldn't even have a conversation because we couldn't hear each other, but otherwise it was enjoyable.
Please can I say how lovely Emma is at your Tunbridge Wells franchise. She is a real asset to your team.
She always welcomes you with a smile and nothing is ever too much trouble. Her customer service and service is excellent as well as her efficiency and manner.
She is really someone that should be highly thanks for making our and other customers experience the best and one that people including myself want to come back to your restaurant as well as recommend to others.
Being a business owner myself word of mouth is everything and she really does been a super service to you there.
Good food in a friendly atmosphere. I can recommend the steak and eggs & the salted caramel chocolate tart! Going back again next week!
We had dinner at 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon. Nice and quiet, lots of empty tables. We love the decor and the feel of the restaurant. The food was great as always. Staff were ftps and efficient. Recommended!
Food came out cold after waiting 45 mins, disappointed
The food was mainly good - the two issues were that the starter arrived at the same time as the mains. Also two steaks ordered medium rare - both cooked medium. However still good quality steaks so not such an issue.
What a lovely venue - great food, friendly staff, good service and good value for money.
Another great visit to Bills. Definitely a favourite with the kids (although lots of complaints that the chocolate bomb is no longer on the menu! Admittedly they were more than happy with what they got instead. And huge amount of thanks to waiting and kitchen staff for preparing a kids size chicken burger for my very fussy daughter!

Our order was taken in good time but food delivery was slow and we were initially given the wrong food.There was nothing wrong with the food when it finally arrived and generally We enjoy eating at Bill’s.
We were disappointed with a very salty risotto. No one bothered to ask how the meal was, even when they whisked away my half full plate at the end of the meal. I didn't bother to complain as there were no staff around until my husband was almost finished anyway. I didn't want to have to wait for another meal.
The initial welcome was very friendly, but following that service was all but absent. They include service on your bill, so are not very motivated to offer it apparently.
Fish was good, desserts underwhelming. Poorly mixed cocktail.

Unfortunately on the day of our visit it was very very slow service, no garlic butter on the steaks so we had to ask for it, by the time it came the steaks were cold and we paid cash and the young lady who was our waiter was adiment it was £7 change when it wasn't and we had to get our calculator out on our phone to prove we were due more change, busy times cant be helped, just a bit more communication needed, for example "really sorry you've been kept waiting, shouldn't be more than 5 more minutes and you'll have your mains" whereas we were just left waiting not knowing really :(

Always a great visit to Bill's! The food is delicious. My son loves the mac n cheese and the buttermilk chicken burger is fantastic! The staff are friendly and always happy to help. Looking forward to coming again!
The staff were really friendly and attentive. It was very busy but they stayed on top of everything and still made sure the patrons were happy. The food was fantastic!
Service was absolutely terrible. 45 mins after sitting down, we had to hunt down someone just to order a drink. Food was cold and chicken burgers over cooked. Every course, we had to ask for knifes and forks so we could actually eat our food. Appreciate there is a shortage of staff but the management of the restaurant is woeful. Actually feel sorry for the young serving staff who are not getting any help or training. Service charge of 17.5%!! Only paid so we could bring a tiny smile to these overworked and undertrained waiting staff.
