Bill's Restaurant & Bar - Windsor
Great meal out at Bill's in Windsor. The deserts were great, eating a Flower Pot made of chocolate and chocolate dirt was a fantastic way to end the meal.
Service was slow despite the restaurant not being busy. Food was not up to standard. Burger was soggy :(
Lovely meal and good service, great value too with the 50%discount off the set menu.
A bit of a shambles. Food was good but drinks and service were poor. Cocktails tasted very watered down and martinis were served in wine glasses which was strange. One of us ordered an oreo milkshake which came in a (pretty small) vase-shaped glass which would have been fine if the restaurant had any straws - but they didn't so it was impossible to drink without pouring it into one of our water glasses. We informed the waiter of the problems with the watery cocktails and undrinkable milkshake, who agreed but offered no solution.
The soup was served boiling hot in a boiling hot bowl, meaning the whole table had finished their starters before 2 of us could even start. Plates were collected while people in our party were still eating after every single course.
We usually love Bill's but would recommend steering clear of the one in Windsor.
Nice food but it came out cold. And they weren’t very busy yet still missed out an item off the order
The food was very good. The service was also very good but the toilets could be better, they weren't clean.
But in all was it a very good morning while eating in the Bill's.
This is a lovely restaurant in the heart of Windsor casual dining with couples groups and families great atmosphere
As always with any Bills restaurant great service and food. Covid safe and felt at ease
Lovely food as always. Shame we were not offered sauces with our meals. Asked for marmalade which did not arrive.
The restaurant was good. Quiet and lovely. The breakfast was amazing but I later realised the waitress got us the wrong order. I din’t say anything but when I was paying I noticed she took our order wrong. So was a little upset about it. But otherwise It was lovely.
Music is very loud, so not for a quiet dinner! Food as good as ever, although can be pricey. Welcome and food service was great - drinks service was slow.
Brilliant service and great measure to adapt to the time that we are currently in!
Shout out to our waitress Paige, she was so friendly and helpful
Food and service ok. Social distancing ok. Waiting staff touched glasses plates etc and I didn't think were that careful with cleaning.
The food is good but it is overpriced.
Definitely not balance quality-price
Service was good, staff friendly, food was excellent..
Lovely staff. Made us and our babies very welcome. Didn’t initially think of the best table for us but were happy To move things around for us
Being local to Windsor, have been a few times and must admit have had mixed experience with this and other Bills venues. This visit was good, especially the food. .. really crispy squid and a tasty steak for a good price; thanks to the offer. Only negative ... restaurant can be very noisy.
Great food and service . Made great effort for my daughters birthday. Will be going again
Organisation, sanitisation and social distancing was very good. Service a bit slow - seemed a bit short staffed. Most of the food was good. Calamari not tasted - was more like deep fried breading and over fried. Sweet potato fries also too burned for my liking but did couldn't be bothered to complain or send back as service was already slow and one of our meals took almost an hour to arrive.
Our 1st time at Bill's in Windsor.
Were impressed with them maintaining all Covin-D19 safety measures.
Staff were courtious, food good. No complaints except got quite cold. They quickly turned air conditioning off.
Will come again and recommend as well.
Lovely Birthday lunch, very relaxing. The food was excellent and the were extremely helpful.
Choice of food was good, but the gluten free bread I had as toast was not well cooked and was a little small. But the choice jam was lovely and the tea was great.
It was a nice place but overpriced for what you got
Service was slow (in first approach), felt uncaring and was inefficient. The bread order we had while waiting was very mean, a few chopped up bits of bread in a dish. Having cleared the main course a waitress (2 served) asked if we’d like dessert/coffee and we said yes we’d like a look (at the menu) but she never came back. Was off chatting to another waitress whilst cleaning another table or at the till so after 20 mins we went to the till and asked to pay. She said she hadn’t understood what we said when she asked about dessert. Bill Collison should never have sold out to Richard Caring and I predict Bill’s will end up like The Ivy, Carluccio’s, a shadow of their original selves.
Took 30 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us and that was only because I called her over.
Food is great though!
OK - moved tables due to a lot of people traffic in these covid times. Slightly unnerving.
We went for breakfast which also seemed popular with many families with young children. If you like noise - it is a good time to go.
Disappointingly, even with a booking we had to wait 15 mins outside for a table and another 20 mins once seated to get a drink. Once seated the service was good and the food was.. OK.
Wouldn't rush back, convenient location, value for money but sorry to say nothing special
When the food arrived it was hot and really tasty, it was nice to have it good fresh.
I would definitely recommend eating here.
Was very good service and nice food, but I feel the drinks were a little bit expensive £9.50 for a double Gin & Tonic, maybe I’m just being tight!
The staff are working so hard, felt bad asking for the little things like salt and pepper as they can’t be left on the table but the staff were so helpful. Lovely brunch and great atmosphere. All set up very well and felt very relaxing.
Would think twice before visiting again as service was very slow. There was missing items from our order and althought the plate were warm the food was cold!
Lovely food and a good amount for the price. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!
- Checked temperature swiftly on way in
- Friendly service - always on hand
- Good food
- Great price
- Good atmosphere
Food tastes fantastic and the waitress was lovely and attentive.
Very few options left on the menu however.
We went for the Monday to Wednesday half price off deal on the fixed menu and most of the items on the Fixed menu were not available.
We then ordered from both menus and when we checked at home we had been charged full price on the items from the fixed price menu.
Great evening - the restaurant is big enough to have atmosphere but allow for social distancing too... had temp taken on arrival and hand sanitizer on each table. Meal was tasty ... Enjoyed the calamari, mushroom, Risotto, flower pot dessert As part of their discount menu... the service was excellent with friendly staff...
Nice evening out!
Good value for money and staff pleasant but overstretched so our meal arrived before our drinks order and we would have preferred a drink first. The bill was incorrect but revised immediately and with good grace. I will eat here again.
Very disappointed, very noisy due to being next to bar area where the bottles were being constantly emptied into recycling unit. Constant smashing noise.
Food below average. We have visited Cardiff restaurant several times. So were really disappointed with this visit.
Good overall menu, with a fair selection of meals. Not over complicated, I’d say enough good options.
10th Wedding Anniversary
The staff were all unfailingly helpful and friendly. The menu was good. I chose the sirloin steak, which was delicious and well priced. We have been to Bill's, here and in other places, several times and we have always been impressed. We will definitely return.
