Had the 'Premium' tasting. $15 per head. 7 Wines. Wines were only current vintages and the small testing sample was insufficient to actually have a proper tasting. The setting is terrific and the staff reasonably knowledgeable and friendly. Great view outside.
The young lady that completed the wine tasting with us was great. We felt we were left sitting for long periods of times as she had to attend to other tables as well.
Really enjoyed the wine tasting & cheese board. Great knowledge and lovely staff, plus stunning views.
We were in the Hunter Valley for a wedding and needed a lunch venue close by and knew this would be a great place to go.
My friend and I really enjoyed our wine tasting. The service and environment was fabulous, not to mention the amazing wine. Definitely a new favourite! We do have to give a shout out to a very friendly man who, during the worst part of Friday afternoon’s storm, gave us umbrellas and followed us to our car while getting absolutely soaked. We think his name is Richard? What a nice guy and such a nice thing to do! Overall 10/10 experience!
We actually had lunch in your restaurant, the food was amazing, very tasty and the portions were just right.
This was my first experience at Bimbadgen, my guests and I were very happy with the service and the overall experience.
We had a lovely CoVID wine tasting followed by pizza on the terrace on Melbourne Cup Day. We were the only people there and it felt like a private lunch. Staff were fabulous!
We were there for a wine tasting and service was top notch. We were allowed to taste all the wines on the list and no pressure to buy, although we bought two bottles. No food was provided or asked for so cannot rate the food there.
My friends and i were visiting Hunter Valley and we booked a wine tasting at Bimbagen because it was one of the few wineries that would take a booking for ten people (covid). The staff were super nice and lovely and the moscato was delicious. Most, if not all, left the place with a bottle of that and because we bought a bottle, we didn't have to pay for the wine tasting. Thank you for the lovely experience!
Highly recommend the wood fire pizza out in the courtyard. Great atmosphere with views.
Excellent service from Dianna with a decent taste of the wines and a fantastic value for money Charcuterie plate. A great experience.
It was our first experience at Bimbadgen and the two lady out there were excellent and provided us a best service.. hoping to visit next time too.
We only had a wine tasting which was lovely. The staff were really friendly and informative. The noise however was a little overwhelming. Recommend the wines.
What a special cellar door. Friendly service, great atmosphere, outstanding wines.
I have been a member for only a short time. I found I only slightly liked one of the wines so it was not really a great experience as far as the wines were concerned. The ambience was okay but a fair amount of noise for the amount of people in the venue. The people were friendly which was nice. However, as I like sweet wines, I have found that this is not the winery for me. If you like dry wines you will like this winery.
We didn’t dine here, only wine tasting. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Very pleasant experience
Staff not friendly at all, the worst in all wineries I have been. The wines are ok, but only average. The place is quite nice, beautiful view, but the experience overall was poor. Would not come back nor reccomend
Too loud. Pricey tasting plates. Uninterested host. Shame, the venue is lovely.
Most amazing cellar door!
By far our favourite and cannot wait to return again!
My only complaint was having to pay different tasting fees for different wines, most other cellar doors have a flat fee for an entire tasting.
Note, no food was consumed but a rating was mandatory.
Beautiful building and grounds, beautiful scenery and wonderful staff. Amazing wine at very reasonable prices. A lovely afternoon venue for relaxing!
Great server who managed to assist all customers and still keep a smile. Great day.
Beautiful winery. Tasty wine. Excellent service. You MUST visit this place if you’re in Hunter Valley.
Wonderful indoor and outdoor setting. Service was beyond delightful
Customer service was outstanding. I've forgotten the young girls name who served us but she was very lovely and informative. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back.
Had some snacks during the tasting, one of the pizzas and the charcuterie board.. both disappointing!
Service was nice and friendly.
Wines are alright.. nothing mind blowing! But overall a pleasant experience.
We didn’t have food just a tasting - our server was fabulous
Great wine tasting. Friendly staff but looked like they wanted to finish as it was late in the day.
Fantastic food, with excellent wine pairings, friendly service. Beautiful venue, newly renovated! Will definitely be back!
Our first time there, we will definitely be back.
We pre booked yet service was not as good as usual - staff seemed pretty occupied and going through the motions
I only attended a wine tasting, the service was excellent.
Great food and the servings were great The service was exceptional
Definitely would go again
Wine Tastings - customer service very poor and not interested in us at all. During each tasting she went off to clean the bench. We did make appointment so they were expecting us. Very disappointed.
First time at Bimbadgen for over 10 years and was just as enjoyable. The staff were very informative, pleasant and the wines were very enjoyable. The only sad point was the stairs leading to and from the cellar. My wife fell on the way up, but again the staff could not have been more helpful or concerned. Will definitely go back again.
Definitely worth a visit !!!
*Did not have food*
Overall was a great place
would be even better during warmer weather to have a picnic outside
Unfortunately we did not have a great tasting experience on the weekend. Booked in for 230pm on Sunday 26th. Arrived and was very confused where the tasting was occurring, and the information was not clear. Eventually realised it was at the restaurant. We got to speak to two women throughout who told us what we were drinking and to “enjoy”. No further interaction regarding the wine, no description, no check in, nothing really. Felt like we were just plopped in the middle of diners and big groups. Mentioned at the end we only wanted to pay for the tasting and we felt a little forgotten throughout. No mention of anything took payment and that was it.
Limited menu. We hadn’t realized they ha just pizza on the menu, otherwise we wouldn't have booked! And the pizza quality is the level of Domino’s! From frozen dough. Horrible!
