Bistro 555 is under new ownership by a group of long-time friends including the owners of former Le Mistral and Cafe Rabelais, established French institutions in Houston. With a joint-experience of over 5 decades, Bistro 555 will transport you to the different regions of France with traditional bistro fares. Our specialties include Escargot in sizzling garlic butter, onion soup topped with melted gruyere cheese, Moules-Frites, Cassoulet, and profiteroles. We also serve wood-oven fired pizzas.     We were pleasantly surprised by this quaint restaurant. It made me feel so nostalgic about my France travels. The food was delicious. From the bread service to dessert. We can’t wait to return.

    Four of us enjoyed everything. This lil place is a charmer; I tried a new dish, the duck confit. OMG DELICIOUS, but that's what each of us said about our Trout, Chicken Fricassee and steak poivre. And the wine was excellent. Timing was right on: not rushed or forgotten about. My favorite French place outside Paris!

    Service was great. Our waiter was kind and diligent. Food was ok but overpriced. We had the escargots and we were not impressed. Pizza was good. The worse part was the outdoor seating where tables and parked cars are only divided by a slim fence of boxed plants. It feels like you are literally eating in the parking lot. Not coming back.
