Food is always fresh and clean and very healthy. Had a new dish today, quinoa hash with spinach mushrooms. Carrots and broccoli. And grilled chicken. You can have poached eggs instead too. Just phenomenal and I get so good after eating it. Power plates
Owner and staff were all amazing, not to mention how great the food is. Definitely worth a try!
First time there- this is a hidden neighborhood gem- definitely going back
Great spot for lunch, food was creative and very good. Cozy restaurant and priced right for multiple visits.
Lunch is outstanding. Homemade soups and salad combinations are very simple and creative. One of my favorite places.
Perfect with delicious homemade pasta!
Went for lunch, the place was slow and yet we couldn’t get good service. Lunch took a long time to be served and even drink refills took forever. The food was alright, nothing special. Overall neither my wife nor I would go back.
Angela is an amazing waitress!
Food was disappointing: tuna had no taste. The rest of the meal was just ok. The dessert never came. There was confusion with our bill. The net message was that this meal was a let down compared to the two previous times we ate in Bistro Baldanza.
Nice little gem in Darien. Great risotto with shrimp and veal Parmesan.
Angela is an angel
The service was excellent and our meals were really fabulous. I think it's one of the best restaurants in Darien.
Great staff. Great food. Not noisy, so my 92-year-old father could easily chat with the family.
What a find! Food was excellent. Can't wait to go back. Has Sat and Sun brunch. A little hard to find as it is not on Rt 1 but behind buildings with entrance from the parking lot. I recommend a reservation. It is very small and becoming popular.
Warm and friendly staff with fantastic food!!
Was very good. Nice ambiance. Enjoyed our food a lot. Beet salad was exceptional, scallops really good. Definitely will return. Service was very attentive.
Consistently amazing dinner with excellent service!
Friendly service and delicious food.
The food was good. It was a bit pricier than I thought it would be for a Bistro. Service was very warm and friendly.
Due to the address being the same as another well known restaurant in Darien, the hostess was very helpful in directing me to their physical location. She told me to call her from the back parking lot and she would easily direct me. That great customer service continued once we arrived for dinner. The hostess / waitress could not have been more accommodating to us, as we told her it was our first time there. It was a small, quite dining room with candle light, dim lights, creating just the right ambiance. The food was prepared and presented well and had great flavors. I was equally impressed with the food, as I was w the service. I will definitely be back!
I was there for lunch, ate outside, which was a bit noisy as it is in a parking lot, but the salad I had was sooooo good!!!!! The inside doesn’t have the best ambience but the food was so good and the choices fabulous...........can’t wait to go back.
Understaffed, and disorganized service.
Beautiful night beautiful dinner. We had the grey sole special ad the halibut both amazing as usual!
Loved it, plan to go back soon. Food was just wonderful and tasty.
I've eater there several times. I've always been pleased with the food and the service.
First time to this local restaurant, great find. Menu had great variety of choices. Seems to be family owned. We will return.
Angela was our waitress and was so friendly and helpful. The red snapper, Bolognese and scallops were amazing. We will definitely be back!
AMAZING AS ALWAYS! WE SHARED THE RAVIOLI- OMG! SPECIAL WINE NIGHT WAS GREAT!!
Great quality food and our server (on the back deck) was superior!!! The outside seating is nice but it is a bit too dark at night - they could add some lighting. Otherwise an outstanding experience.
Always a delightful experience and the food never disappoints. Hard to find a restaurant lately where the noise level was just right for conversation. We look forward to getting back soon!
Loved! Fresh food, unique menu items (as well as classics) and a friendly staff
Tasty and creative food - excellent service - quiet setting outside
Baldanza continues to please- great burger and amazing gnocchi. Sarah did a lovely job.
Great menu with lots of luncheon options. Good food and excellent service.
A nice local luncheon restaurant. I'm sure dinner is great as well - just haven't been there yet for dinner.
What a great Father’s Day brunch. There was something on the menu for everyone at out table. It was delicious all around.
Love this place, food is consistently delicious! Owners are very friendly and personable.
One of my stops in the morning is for an amazing croissant from Flour, Water, Salt Bread in Darien. When our Bread basket came out at Baldanza, what a nice surprise that they now serve their Sourdough Bread which is off the charts. Had the filet of sole and the wife had the salmon both were great!
The Best always!! Food and the staff are awesome!!
My second visit was not nearly as good an experience as my first. The food and service were disappointing. After repeated requests for a bread basket refill and Parmesan cheese (which was desperately needed for two orders of very bland cauliflower steak) they both arrived with a slight attitude. The cauliflower steaks were asked to be “well done, extra crispy” and they were prepared the complete opposite... pale and soft. As mentioned above, the dish was under seasoned so I resorted to a few shakes of the table pepper. On the flip side, one guest enjoyed the burger and fries. Sadly, at these prices, I will likely not return.
Chloe, I spoke to the server who had your table and unfortunately his instructions was for the kitchen to do the cauliflower well done and it produced the opposite of what you may have been looking for. Well done vegetables in restaurants refers to slightly overcooking and will result in a soft texture- not what you wanted. Please come in again and ask for Sandy Baldanza and I will make sure its seared in a pan at high temperature and should produce the texture you are looking for.
