    A 24-hour in advance booking is required. Tea service is offered Wednesday to Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., concurrent with our lunch and dinner menus. Tea service is $65 per person (includes sales tax & gratuity) with a two-person minimum (odd number parties are accepted). Cancellations for refunds MUST be made before 11:00 AM the day of the reservation by calling (713) 904-3537. Voice Mail and email are not accepted for cancellation. A credit card processing fee of 5% will be assessed for the refund. Splitting of tea service is not available. We do not offer Vegetarian, Vegan, sugar-free, or dairy-free tea service.

                                      We arrived for brunch when they opened at 11:00 and were there for 1.5 hours. By the time we left, it was quite noisy, and we were having trouble hearing each other. The first hour was very pleasant. Food and service were good.

                                      This is my go to client lunch spot! Crab cakes were "meh" - too much pimento and other grainy filler. Best items - porcini cauliflower, eggplant fries, crab and avocado salad. Service is always impeccable and the Prosecco cocktails are wonderful. It's the perfect place for ladies who lunch.

                                      Went for Mother's Day. Beautiful place, very good food, although I would like to see a few more options for kids. Very busy on Mother's Day and we still had good service. Wife/Mom was happy so THANK YOU!

                                      We have always enjoyed Chef Greg Martin’s jewel in the Montrose area. Our experience last night was terrific. Duck Confit for me, Shrimp on a skewer for her, and delicious Tres Leches for dessert. Great value.

                                      Lovely place to have a nice lunch on a beautiful day. The patio is shaded and perfect for a lunch to catch up with a friend. It is a little toward the pricey side but delicious burgers and salads are options with entrees like crab cakes and salmon. Service was perfect and we did not feel rushed at all. The inside is also a lovely space if you prefer the AC.

                                      Everything we had was outstanding — two savory crepe dishes, grilled salmon, chocolate coconut ice cream (dairy free — that almost scared me off, but I’d have it again any time), a blueberry cake-ish dessert. Much of the menu is gluten free, with no loss in richness of flavor. We ate on the patio — lovely.

                                      Always a treat to dine at Bistro Menil. The brunch menu was lovely and offered some excellent gluten free options. Amazing service as always and a beautiful atmosphere! A must see when visiting Houston, and we are lucky to be regulars within walking distance. Don't miss the beers on tap and the amazing pizzas. Bravo Chef Greg!

                                      Management was poor, seated us on a blazing hot patio and refused us an umbrella even though we had a toddler with us. Refused to move us. Server was attentive but overwhelmed. Food was good but we felt unimportant and ignored by the manager.

                                      Rated it “quiet” for dining outside on their patio. Inside was noisy but outside is quiet and very pleasant, among the trees. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the duck and soups vide steak. Both are excellent. The asparagus crepe is a wonderful side, and the goat cheese fondue appetizer is not to be missed.

                                      Food is different and pretty good but definitely overpriced. We had the eggplant fries which were cooked perfectly but very bland. We had the Italian sausage pizza which was very good. Wine is very overpriced. Service was excellent. Won’t be back.

                                      We dined on the patio in front. Great ambience and view. The service and the food were good. Duck confit and crab cakes were excellent. The cauliflower pizza was good. Will be back!
