Excellent meal. It was very welcoming to see such type of cuisine in thunder bay. I was happy overall with the meal. The duck confit was excellent, great pasta. The steak was slightly overdone. Otherwise a very good meal.

I have gone to Bistro One for many years. It is now the best it has ever been!

Excellent dining experience. The food and service were great and the price was very reasonable. I miss the white tablecloths though and I did find the music a bit loud for my taste but this would not discourage me from dining here again. I have and will continue to recommend Bistro One to friends.

Not your everyday lunch spot but if you want to treat yourself to a first class meal in the middle of the day, this a place to go. The toughest choice was deciding on which appetizer to start wth. I went with a new menu item, Handmade Ravioli filled with confit mushroom and leek, ricotta, parmesan and served with a lemon brown butter sauce. Amazing.

This was our first dining out (October 21) since Covid19. We were very pleasantly surprised by how smoothly Bistro One has adapted to make us feel safe while maintaining the fine dining experience we have valued for over 25 years.
The new menu is great and the food was wonderful as was the service.

Our server Brooke was attentive, pleasant and a gem to have serve us. She stopped by our table often to check in on us. The food was delicious and a great atmosphere. We will be back again.

Have been to Bistro One several time, this time during covid and the service was excellent but was somewhat disappointed in the food a little, has been better in the past but overall was satisfying though the price was the most expensive we have ever paid for what we got which was less than we normally order. Was a fun night and the waitress was the best, thanks for the fun evening.

It was WONDERFUL! The new menu is excellent. The staff all maintained distance where possible. The remodel is beautiful.

Great service, atmosphere was a little noisy. Covid precautions seemed to be adequate. Most of the food was great although the risotto was mushy and there was a large piece of gristle on one of the duck slices.

Great patio -we will return to enjoy the food ans wine. Service was very cordial and professional.

I had the steak salad for lunch. It was delicious. Service was superb. We were well looked after definitely!

I have been to many fine restaurants in my 65 years, and Bistro One ranks up there with some of the best 5 star restaurants in Canada.

Totally enjoyed the experience. Portions were excellent. It was really nice to have a meal with an appropriate amount of time between each course. We didn't have to rush. A truly great and enjoyable meal and evening. Will definitely do it again.

We have frequent Bistro One often throughout the years. Great to have it open again with fine foods and wines to par. We loved returning. Our main recommendation is to try and work with the noise level. We do not remember having difficulty hearing each other prior to renovation. The other day we all mentioned how loud it was the evening we dined. Not sure if it is the lack of table cloths or what, but we recommend taking the noise level serious. Every thing else, we were very pleased with. We love Bistro's delicious food and highly respect the chef's choices and abilities. We totally plan to return. 3 had the ahi tuna salad. They were still hungry. The tuna was good but needed more flavour. The beet salad was great, as was the burger, and the pasta special.

What a great restaurant! We were in Thunder Bay for the evening, had the pork loin and the short rib. Both were very good. Loved the olives, bread and roasted garlic as an appetizer. Our waiter was very attentive, knowledgable, and polite. Over all it was a great experience.
