BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Fredericksburg
Good experience! Wanted the Pork Chop but sold out shortly after our 6pm arrival. Next time! 😊
Loud, slow, food ok. Beer good
Appetizers took forever to come out. Everyone’s meal was good except for the cold fries and barely warm jambalaya. They brought fresh fries. Sent the jambalaya back and it came out as were ready to leave and was still only lukewarm. But we had an excellent server.
I had a reservation for a group of six and expected a better seat than in front of the entrance. We had a friendly server. We notice that a couple was placed in a booth and we were not. We didn’t make any complaints we figured it was based on servers or something. My quinoa grain bowl was bland and overpriced. It was not your typical bjs value that I’m accustomed to as a regular diner. The place was loud and my party was loud because of it I’m sure adding the the frustration of others. Probably won’t be goin again with a larger group. I chose this place for the menu because I had two members of my group that had very specific diets. Vegan and celiac. There were options but upon further inspection this heavy large menu had oversized pictures of food where there were sometimes only 4 meal options on one page. This place is always busy they serve good beer and have specials every. They have options for people with restricted diets but the options were not given the effort other plates get. Other places don’t have as many options but I’ve had them before and they are way tastier.
Thank you for the wonderful date night!!!!!!!!!!!!
Birthday of my husband
Despite having a reservation still waited 20 min. Then another couple, late 35 minutes for their reservation, got seated before us and we were 10 minutes early. Not cool.
Granddaughter leaving for last semester of college
Server was wonderful! She made the entire experience even that much better!
BJ's is always a hoping restaurant. Great service, great food. We got seated right away today. There is something for everyone there.
Hamburgers were brought to the table raw. Everyone else was finished eating before they were brought back out.
We ordered a variety of things, none of which were impressive. The menu is huge, which should’ve been our first clue that the food wouldn’t be that great. The “deep dish” pizza I ordered was nearly $20 and tasted as though it had been microwaved first and then put in a pan. Another diner tried two different soups and both were thick, gelatinous and barely edible. The shrimp tacos seemed to be ok. Overall it felt like a massive waste of money for barely edible food.
The food is phenomenal. The service, horrible! The hostess was rude. We told her we had reservations, she offered us a high top table in the bar area. We pointed out there were open tables in the dining area, she grabbed 4 menus, and without speaking to us, walked over to a booth to seat us. When our server finally arrived, we placed our orders. She came back to let us know they were out of prime rib, which is only served on the weekends (this was Saturday). We ordered something different, our food was all served in intervals. My husband received the wrong order, it was taken back after he started eating it, and then he had to ask our server to please bring his food. She brought the food, it was wrong again. They ran out of Jeremiah red beer, which is one of their beers, and one of the reasons we chose that restaurant. My husband had to go to the bar for an additional beer. Our server never offered drink refills, and when I asked for a refill it never came. We spoke with the manager, who offered 2 free pizookies, which took an additional 25 minutes. Our dinner took over 2 hours. Although the food is always phenomenal, it will be a long time before we go back to BJ's.
We never have a bad meal at BJ’s and our server Marky Mark is the best!
So we showed up before our scheduled reservation and were told we would have to wait 15 minutes. This put a bad taste in my mouth and started to set a tone. Then the hostess claimed she pages us, but I never got a page. So we ended up about 20 minutes late. My first question is "Why" accept reservations if you're not going to meet your obligation. Then we were taken to a table with three chairs (there are four of us).
So the tone was set, I thought. Then our waitress came out, and saw some sad faces, probably detected some tension and absolutely TURNED OUR FROWNS upside down. She nailed it, went above and beyond and was the perfect customer service rep. I told the manager she saved our night and our experience, but sadly, I didn't think it resonated with him. I'd go back if I thought we'd get this woman again, simply because she rocks and she puts the hospitality and customer in customer service.
The entire staff were very helpful. Our waiter was great! Food was excellent.
Good food. GREAT server. A salad and bread included with entree would be better.
Marky-mark our waiter was fantastic. he was quick to take our drink orders and appetizer orders. He was funny and on top of any refills needed. Just the kind of waiter you want!!!
We were very disappointed with the food. The ham and cheese you wouldn’t think you could screw up. It was soggy and a mess. The noodle dish was supposed to have chicken in it, and it was void of any chicken. When it first opened it was very good. Doesn’t seem that way now.
We were seated in a booth that was Grand Central — entrance to bathroom, kitchen and waiters station all in one.
Food was mediocre. Peanut soba noodles were swimming in a watery peanut sauce. Quinoa bowls were overpowered by lemon. In short, left food on the plate and were not eager to take it home. In short, the menus is terrific, but the kitchen staff is not very good at turning the promise of the menu in to reality.
The wait staff however was exceptional — attentive and eager to please.
Go for the beer. Food was only mediocre. Rewarmed jambalaya. Service was exceptional. I wouldn't go back unless it was for a beer or two.
Always Great service,Excellent Menu options.
Great food and service!
Our waiter Doug was great. He made sure everything was right
Waiter was phenomenal and the food was great!! Going back again this weekend!!
Of course Iwould recommend BJ, great service and great food made for a great experience.
It was very nice, the environment was very nice as well. Although I did feel like our server wasn’t all that happy to be there. But none the less she was still very nice. I would very much recommend this restaurant! The food was also very amazing and tasty!
Great restaurant especially with kids. They give a garlic knot and fruit for free to hold them over while we wait for meals. We were seated within a few minutes of arrival. Nice booth that fit my large party.
The food was excellent and my family had a great time. I wish we had more room at the table.
The meal was very good and the service was excellent on the behalf of the wait staff. The hostess seemed to have a real issue with us having a reservation and fitting us in. Her attitude was very much in front of our whole interaction with is and was a very poor way to start off the meal. She was not a representation of our time or our meal thank goodness.
Great Experience with the best service . Always the best from waiter Marky Mark
Slower than it normally is, but they were busy. I usually order the ziti, but went with a burger this time. It was okay.
Service was unusually poor. We are regulars and this experience was the worst service yet. Waitress took a long time and was not personable suggesting food or drinks options to our first time guests. We talked about complaint to the manager at the dinner table.
Bjs always has great food and drinks. Great place to go for great food and service. Definitely will be back!
Had a table right in front of the door. Was very cold and crowded by patrons waiting to be seated. Waiter forgot to submit order so a long wait for food. Food was good when it did arrive. Asked the manager for some heat but never received any.
If you want great food, with enough creativity to be interesting, and great beer and drinks--BJ's is the place to go. For those of us who wanted to experiment, we appreciated the little plates and the create your own flight choices.
This past visit, we were celebrating my son's 21st birthday and the staff was very accommodating with our party and set up from start to finish.
It's a large restaurant and bar, so be prepared for a high level of noise , but it was a fun place to hold a celebration.
Marky Mark as usual was the best and made our visit as special as he does every week we dine . He truly provides great service and a experience .
Excellent service ask for the best waiter in the house Marky Mark you will not be disappointed .
Always delicious and service was great!
