Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    We had been recommended Blacklock by both of our children. We went to the City branch. The food was excellent. Our friend said the burger was the best he'd ever eaten.I had the steak pie which was a special which was delicious with fabulous pastry surrounding the whole pie. The pig head on toast and mushroom on toast starters also got high praise. The service was also really noteworthy. Our waiter knew everything about the menu and looked after us brilliantly

    We had the Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious. What really made the experience even better was the staff – every single person who served us was so lovely, warm, and welcoming. The lady who sat us down, the waitress who took our orders and the gentlemen who served us the cheesecake. You can really tell they care about creating a great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back again soon:)

    First time here, the food was amazing. Me and my friends will definitely come back again for Sunday roast. The atmosphere was good, but the music was a tad too loud. It was hard chatting and trying to catch up as you have to raise your voice a bit.. Overall it was still great though.

    Service was really good, attentive but not overbearing. Steak and burgers were excellent. It's not cheap but we all enjoyed our meals. I do wish you had a kid's menu but I understand the lean menu.

    We always come here. Very lively place can be a little loud at times. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Staff very knowledgeable about their meats if you’re not sure what to order. Food is delicious!!! Steaks were cooked to perfection, was also given a peppercorn sauce to try which was mind blowing with flavours. The Burger is my favourite melts in your mouth. Chips crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. First time we tried the steak sandwich. Highly recommend if you want something lightly but still with lots of flavour. Only down side you have to wait a while for your food. Steaks are minimum 20mins wait. But well worth it in the end.
