About Blacklock City
Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails for a fiver and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. Bookings: Monday - Friday Bookings for lunch from 12-3pm Bookings for dinner from 5-11pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays - Closed.

Blacklock City Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic, staff we very friendly & super helpful as it was no trouble finding us a table we were happy with (did not really want the one we were allocated) but they even went as far as going out to buy some olives from a local shop for us, at present these are not something they offer.
Well worth a visit & very good value for money.
Have been quite a few times, service always great and staff helpful and more and more of my friends are being indoctrinated into the Blacklock way! . Food is excellent value and the meats are amazing - always well seasoned and cooked. Excellent chips normally, this time i found more crispy bits than whole chips so the portion seemed a little small, however a small gripe as i will go again and again.
Friendly staff, great food and attentive service without being intrusive. This is one of my absolute favourite restaurants right now. As a meat lover you cannot go wrong with the very good value "all in" option. The meat is cooked to perfection and there's plenty of it (I sent with a friend and we're both big rugby player build gents and we had plenty to eat!).
If you have room for dessert you've got to have the cheesecake - it is to die for.
You couldn't wish to meet a more friendly customer-focussed team than at The Blacklock. They add to the overall laid back professional experience I absolutely love about this venue.
If there is anything to criticise the venue for, it is that it can get very busy and therefore a little noisy, but people are enjoying themselves so you can forgive that!
Absolutely exceptional. The last time I went to Blacklock (Soho), I received the best customer service I've ever had, and I've been raving about it ever since.
This time, the food was again incredible, and the staff fantastic - including giving us some great advice on the menu.
Definitely coming back.
An absolute delight. Excellent food, at very reasonable prices. Wonderful drinks that are a mix of classical and new cocktails (the Honey Ginger Mule in particular was a very nice take on a classic). The staff were without exception friendly, knowledgable and welcoming.
I would particularly recommend all of the pre chop bites, as well as the pigs head on Sourdough toast, The courgette with chickory and stilton, and the baby gem with anchovy dripping. As for the mains, they were all perfectly cooked to our preference.
I will definitely be visiting again, as well as recommending to any and all friends (who aren't vegetarian or vegan, who will definitely find the menu a little intimidating)
Staff and food are amazing. Great service, and passionate and attentive staff. Food is amazing. It can be as healthy or naughty as you want to make it. Cocktails are great and the price is also very reasonable for good quality meat and drinks. I have been to Blacklock Soho for Sunday Roast and Blacklock City for an evening weekday meal and would definitely recommend for either.
