Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails for a fiver and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca.

Our waiter was the best,the food was excellent,we decided on the cut of the day and ordered Prime Rib,it was cooked perfectly, side sweet potatoes was fantastic too, highly recommend for lunch or dinner,

The all in was a total rip off.
8 of us had about 2 bits of meat each. Both of which were v small.
Feel like we got ripped off.

Everything was fantastic - from the friendly service, to the recommended drinks, to the absolutely yummy food! You must must must try the lamb belly ribs - I’m still dreaming about them! Definitely great value for money in all senses - my new favourite restaurant :)

Amazing service from the waiters - honestly do not think I've experienced better! My only slight critique of the food is that some of the cuts we had (we had the £20 deal) were very fatty and some of the food felt slightly unnecessarily greasy

Lots of recommendation options in the box above e.g vegan; good vegetarian options etc etc yet inexplicably none for MEAT? Make no mistake, this is a Meat restaurant; a very good meat restaurant.

If meat is your ‘thing’ book a table, you won’t be disappointed. If it’s not - don’t!

Food was good, cocktails tasty and good value... but the restaurant was incredibly noisy, so much so that we couldn’t have a proper conversation because of the table next to us. We wanted to move however it looked too busy, and our food quickly arrived. Whilst the decor is nice, it was so dark that we struggled to see what we were eating. Has the potential to be a great spot but has a few problems.

Thoroughly enjoyed an evening at Blacklock City with two old friends. The menu is not large but all of the food was very tasty and a little bit different. The meat was well cooked and tender, veg. in unusual but delicious combinations and the white choc. cheesecake was lovely. Staff were v. friendly, amusing and efficient. It was extremely noisy but this was inevitable as it was packed and everyone was having a great time.

Really nice food, slightly pricey but worth it. Only downside - I was a bit cold. The place needed to be warmer and everytime the door opened I felt a breeze

Forget any other meat restaurant, Blacklock is the ONLY place to go. Meat is amazingly cooked and of the highest possible quality and the sides are to die for. We were a big fan of the Soho branch, the City one is even better! We like it so much we went back 4 days later!
