Food was great! Pigs head on toast starter was surprisingly tasty after a recommendation from our very friendly waitress. The only thing that could improve is that there was only one dessert which was a sort of cheesecake that I didn’t care for.
Blacklock is awesome - great value for money, great food and drink and a lively atmosphere makes for an extremely fun night. You won't be disappointed if you like your meat.
What a great place for Dunday lunch/ dinner! We went for the 'all in' between two of us and shared the white chocolate cheesecake for desert. One of the best meals I've had in London too date! I also had a glass of the Blacklock yellowbelly red with dinner (highly recommend!). Portion sizes and service were fantastic. We'll definitely be back!
Wow! What a Sunday Roast, everything was on point. The lamb was so juicy, and the beef beautiful and pink, cooked to perfection. Great place with lovely atmosphere, and don't forget to try the beefy mary! 👌

Roast dinner was amazing, staff were so friendly and attentive
Ordered the rump beef roast, it was poor quality and chewy. Had expected a succulent dish with gravy and vegetables, but it felt like a chore to eat.
The restaurant has either failed to purchase high quality meat, or has failed to cook it properly. Either way was a very dissapointing experience.
Would not expect this from a restaurant specialising in meat. Will not be going back and advising friends to avoid for Sunday roast.
Sunday roast was excellent especially as there was an option to have all 3 meats.

Came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, had the best time. Went for the all in and haven't stopped telling people about it since. The £5 cocktail menu is fabulous as well.

Overall gets a 3, stated it was a birthday and the lady at the front asked me if it was still for someone’s birthday- but they did nothing special for that.
Cherry bomb cocktail was really nice- but it’s more of a shot than a drink, very overpriced.
We had the all in so tried all the skinny chops, these were so tasty along with the bread at the bottom, I ordered for 2 but still think it was a small portion if I’m honest. This came with pre chop mini bites, great idea but unless you like vinegar/pickled flavour you won’t like these.
Beef dripping chips nice along with the onion gravy!
So noisy, so if you are looking for a date night on a Friday, I’d say this venue is for after work dinner/drinks with friends as its too loud to converse.
I’d go back however maybe midweek, or to try the Sunday roast as this looks amazing.

Great little food spot, with lovely staff always at hand to give you the lowdown on the what they would recommend - didn’t disappoint! The food was great and there was a good vibe to the whole place! Would definitely recommend!
Came here for my birthday. As always was a fantastic experience. Butcher price Monday makes it even better on the pocket.

This was my first time visiting blacklock and we had such a lovely evening. The food and service was amazing! The manager was so welcoming and we had a lovely chat with him. Can’t fault anything about blacklock shoreditch. Can’t wait to come back!

The best roast in london. Would highly recommend to others
Unfortunately we arrived a little late which was unfortunate however the staff were very helpful and still accommodated us which was very nice of them. Unfortunately we were sat next to 2 guys and 2 girls who spent the whole time talking about Essex and swearing really loudly meanwhile passing around a wrap of coke then running to the toilet every few minutes to which I’m sure the staff were aware of but probably felt intimidated to interfere understandably!
It’s a shame because I’ve always wanted to go to blacklock and have waited for so long to be utterly disappointed, I own a food business myself and before that was a managed in Selfridges food hall so I like to think I know a little about service and think that the staff should have noticed that me and my girlfriend were feeling uncomfortable and probably moved us to another table. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be heading back to blacklock anytime soon....
