Go there quite often and love that place!
Splendid meal....as it always is. Inventive and tasty and, especially at lunchtime, phenomenal value for money
the food was okay; nothing special but perfectly acceptable.
choice of wines excellent
Always very good
Lovely restaurant with attentive yet unobtrusive staff
Had the feel of a Parisene neighbourhood eatery
Good food, reasonable prices
Empty. Average food
love that many dishes come with the option of a smaller portion, so we get to try a lot of different thing. all turned out to be very nice. especially love the vegetables!
My experiences at Blandford Comptoir have always been great, but this Saturday was extra special. It was to be my first evening out after giving birth and extenuating circumstances meant we had no babysitter and had to bring the baby out. I was super stressed, and the staff made everything perfect. they found spot for my pram, made sure I felt comfortable, and made me laugh. Then the food and wine were perfect, as always. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening!!
Extremely friendly and accommodating service. Food was delicious and presented beautifully.
Superb wine list, quality, innovative menu & excellent staff.
My wife is dairy free, and they were knowledgeable and very helpful with food selection. Skate main was perfect , accompanied with Chilean Tara Chardonnay....
Amazing food, lively ambience and fantastic staff. A great place to have a special meal. The beef carpaccio with truffle and pecorino is legendary, and the wine list is a triumph, too.
I have a number of food intolerances and although I was told on arrival this had been noted there was little real understanding.
The waiter was pretty arrogant and told me I should go a la Carre rather than the offer we had booked.
We came up with a solution ourselves by sharing the mixed starters. We were incorrectly advised about dairy in the main course and then when I asked for just sorbet as a dessert I was brought yoghurt sorbet. When I queried if it was actually dairy free the way sneered but went to check eventually returning with an alternative .
I doubt I'll be returning to Comptoir!
The previous week I had eaten at Boisdale with an Opentable offer and they couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating
The view of our group of 8 was that the deserts were very good but other than the oysters and the lamb, the rest of the food was well presented but taste wise was average at best.
We left slightly disappointed.
Visited on the 14th Feb for a Valentines Dinner, the food was exceptional served in pleasant surrounds by a great team.
Not my first time there. Friendly and attentive staff. Simple and tasty food.
All good reasons to go back!
Good quality dishes, smallish portions (so order a starter!), limited choice for vegetarians. Nice atmosphere, great service.
Can’t praise staff and venue highly enough...really fantastic relaxed and romantic vibe the second you walk in the door...the pictures don’t do the place justice as it’s much cosier and intimate lighting than the website suggests.
Fabulous Mediterranean but strong French and Italian hints! Gorgeous again! Will go back over and over - without question! PRICEY, and worth it!
Surprisingly good food. Excellent veg and side dishes. Interesting wine list too
Very small portion sizes! Left hungry
Excellent value high quality lunch sport. Reliable food in an area where trends come and go.
The best value 2-course with glass of wine that I know of at present.
Excellent, flavours in the food amazing! & great wine selection.
Fantastic restaurant with expceptional staff. Had an amazing lunch while visiting London. Would highly recommend! Fantastic wine list
A birthday lunch which turned out to be a very pleasant culinary experience. We dined from the a la carte menu and all the dishes were delicious. My original wine choice was changed with a recommendation for something a bit lighter to match the food better. This worked very well.
Very pleasant service. The food is very good but not sufficiently good to warrant 5 stars
The waiting staff in particular were an absolute pleasure. Fantastic evening!
Very good food but small portions and quite high prices. Having said that, the prices may not be exceptional for London.
Good food, good wine, unintrusive but attentive service. Nice relaxed ambience, I'll certainly be going back.
Had a great Sunday evening meal. Great little place. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
This is a fantastic restaurant with beautiful food and wine and great friendly service. A must!
Expensive and, whilst the food was quite good, it was nothing to get excited about. Both wine and food were certainly not value for money.
Good service and range of food and beverage to graze or dine. Costs are in line with the location.
Good and cosy atmosphere.
Excelent oysters and sicilian shrimps. goodd wine selection and pleasant service
Every time we come to London we love to dine here.....the menu is creative & delicious. Great service with friendly staff.....booking app is excellent.
Well done to all there.
Delicious wine and food in a cosy yet sophisticated environment. The service was fantastic and we had a lovely view of the street outside.
What a lovely restaurant. Not too large with an amazing menu, presentation and tasty food. The staff were very professional and friendly.
We chose this restaurant for lunch for four, based on its location and reasonable price list for quality food and drink. We were met by friendly, knowledgeable staff and were given a table close to the bar.
There was a buzz about the place; it was busy, but not full. The set menu was great value and interesting. We mixed the set menu dishes with a la carte and specials. The pumpkin ravioli with sage butter sauce was flavoursome, balancing sweet and savoury. The gnocchi and fish starters were also well received.
For mains, the ox cheek special was superb and came as a large portion. The pork bell was perfectly cooked with a crisp skin over melt in the mouth meat. The chicken dish also came in for praise . Unusually, the side dishes were also different. Purple sprouting broccoli with chillies and spiralised raw courgette with basil and pine nuts were both lovely.
The wine list is set out simply by price range, which are mixed. We had the Pierre Gimmonet champagne which was very reasonably priced, but some of the white and red pricing were strange and difficult to understand. However, we were pleased with our choices of the Tahbilk Marsanne and the Gattinara.
In summary an informal restaurant that offers a reasonably priced dining experience.
Attractive decor, friendly staff, good wine choice, and very good food.
We are taking friends again soon
Great food and wine in a bistro setting.
