Visited the restaurant for the first time with friends on a Saturday evening. Delightful meal, beautifully prepared plates of excellent food. Definitely would go back. Friendly staff, if a little slow service.
Good food and great atmosphere, but found the staff are very pushy.
Overall a good evening.
The aervice was very friendly and intelligent. The food is perfectly priced to not-too-large portions of well-balanced, fresh food which uses herbs brilliantly. Also, wine can be bought in carafes, so one need not overdo the alcohol! Highly recommended.
Great food, extremely nice service, comfortable, I look forward to returning
Always a great evening...interesting ingredients cleverly cooked and presented stylishly. Our favourite local restaurant.
Excellent food, very professional service. Great wine list. Very helpful staff. Well worth the visit
Quite a pleasant lunch at Blandford Comptoir. Nothing particularly of note either good or bad but the service was attentive, the food palatable and the room comfortable.
Very nice birthday meal, portion sizes quite small
My second visit to this restaurant and I really liked the food again. Good atmosphere and friendly service. My only complaint is that I booked online and was not alerted either online or by phone that they had no tables and that we would be seated at the counter. My counter seat was less comfortable than a regular table (it swivelled a little, even when I didn't move) and I would probably have booked somewhere else if we'd been warned before we turned up at the restaurant (which may be why they didn't tell us). Next time I will reserve a table by phone to be sure.
This is a fantastic restaurant with very friendly staff. There is one dish the hake with girolles and almond and vin jaune sauce which I hope they keep on the Menu forever! It’s the perfect light combination of sea and mountain....reminded me of the Liguirian baby red mullet with porcini mushroom sauce!!
This is a wonderful restaurant, with easy, friendly service and a truly excellent chef
Candidly though, the Business lunches are not quite as good as they were - they are stupendous value, but it's as though someone has been through the books and realised that they were too good for the price - which is a pity
Great food with really good service . Liked the ambience and the friendliness
of the knowledgeable staff . My quail was superb as was the duck and lamb that my husband and son ate .
The service is very nice and caring. The food was good but a bit overpriced.
The decor is like a parisian brasserie.
Great food; excellent wine; good service. What else could you ask for?
I took a friend I did not see for years to this restaurant and we were both very disappointed. Her meal did not look appetising, more like a tiny rubbery fish sole, which she kindly asked to be taken off the bill, as well as service charge to be waived. At the end, she found a black hair (couldn’t have been hers as she’s blonde) in her meal which spoiled everything. I’ve never had such an embarrassing experience in my life at a restaurant. Also, I had high expectations but was bitterly disappointed. My quail was tasty but cold. Jersey potatoes were cold. My cocktail was ok and garnish was slightly awkward. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.
Very good food and had nice table near front -helpful staff
Great food! And very attentive service. Coming back again.
It was just really really delicious food and have booked to go back again.. staff and service spot on.
We made friends with the charming and knowledgeable sommelier: the temperature at which he served the Billecart-Salmon (poured from magnum) demonstrated his excellence. He is Spanish and shared our admiration for the wines of Màquina y Tabla - so we had a great time, and this is clearly a place to visit if you’re interested in wine.
Lovely food, perfect for a warm summer’s evening: slices of marinated raw tuna followed by perfectly cooked turbot, both of which, despite the weather, left room for pudding.
Excellent quality and wine by the glass!
The service was excellent. I really cannot complain at all. We were there for hours (birthday). Our food was delicious and the wine list really good as well.
The portions are a bit on the small side, and also not cheap, however all the food we had was amazing.
We love this place and go back and back even if just for a drink.
It’s in a great location staff are excellent however the food could be better with a bigger range
Amazing sommelier. <3 Would go back just to interact with him!!!
We visited once again this restaurant and we really enjoyed their service and food. We had beef carpaccio , buratta for starters and then grilled hake and foi gras for mains. All very well cooked and served. Staff very attentive and friendly.
We have been here a couple of times, food is great, presentation superb and wine list is great. The vibe is casual and comfortable, a place you want to hang out. Will definitely return since it is a great place to eat alone, on a date or in groups of 4 or 6. Try the oysters-- they are great as is the pork belly.
Our first visit, and everyone enjoyed their lunch. We all had different dishes, so a good overview. Staff friendly and helpful in decision-making. If in the Marylebone area, it is well worth a visit.
Excellent food and fantastic wine list with some really interesting bottles, many at very reasonable prices for the quality and provenance. Not a quick meal and not cheap, but well worth it.
A great little neighbourhood café, serving exquisite food and good wines. With a dash of Marylebone chic thrown in for good measure!
Business lunch for 8, good service, excellent menu and great foo - thanks to the team
Really nice restauran with great service and excellent lunch menu
I was met with discouraging service at the start which then persisted throughout the evening. This was my second time visiting Blandford Comptoir and will not be my last. Besides that food was good.
I keep coming back for the service, wine and food - in that order. It is my Marylebone everyday gem so to speak. Easy, informal yet brilliant and creative. Great wine list too.
Nice restaurant and very friendly staff. Good food and nice price for value
By far one of my favorite places in Marylebone. Great food, amazing ambience and as always up to par service.
Everything from arriving to departing and in between was perfect
After having previously dined at, and really enjoyed, Blandford Comptoir dinner last night was very disappointing.
Other than a foie gras pate which was excellent, our food was completely bland and badly cooked. When my friend told our waiter that we weren't really enjoying the food (after he asked) he did offer to not charge us for our glasses of wine which was a nice gesture, but also basically told her that she didn't know what she was talking about! (For what it's worth, chatting to the table next to us they agreed with our option.)
It's a pity because for a local restaurant it has a lovely atmosphere and perhaps it was just a bad day in the kitchen but I won't be going back.
Go there quite often and love that place!
Splendid meal....as it always is. Inventive and tasty and, especially at lunchtime, phenomenal value for money
