The food was incredibly fresh and flavours very well put together. The wine list was huge and the staff had a very deep knowledge. I’d recommend this place. Really great.
Excellent menu, food good value for money. Wine list very comprehensive and staff happy to help pair with food. Will return again in the future
Delicious fresh food, good wines and lovely service
Fantastic food - thoughtful great service. We've been twice and already planning next visit.
Our second time back and can't say enough good things. Service was professional and warm, particularly the sommelier who chose some great options for us. Food was outstanding. We will be back!
Un choix de plats audacieux et varié mis en valeur par une sélection de vins judicieux. L’accueil et le service sont au top. Une adresse à découvrir pour y revenir. À recommander. Un réel moment de plaisir. Merci
Very enjoyable evening. Buzzy atmosphere, efficient and friendly service. Tasty food, particularly the starter of asparagus, poached egg and parmesan
Great little Mediterranean bistro with an enormous wine list. Wine can be pricey but the food is very good value and this place is now on my "favourites" list. Staff are super friendly and the service is very good.
Great service, happy to amend some dishes to suit us which is a rarity these days and booked us a great table. Service just the right level of informality v formality, attentiveness v there too much! Food great. Recommended.
We have just eaten here for the first time and found it excellent. That food was beautifully cooked and presented and the menu imaginative. The tagliolini was particularly good. The wine was well above average under the care of a knowledgeable and helpful sommelier. Service was also notable, our waiter was friendly and fun, adding to the enjoyment of our meal. And dont overlook the cheese, straight from la fromagerie round the vorner
Our only criticism which maybe cost the fifth star was that portion size could have been a little larger. We are not big eaters but I did feel a little more would have been welcome! But don't be put off, this is a restaurant well worth a visit, we shall return.
Food was delicious, staff was fantastic, highly recommend!
Food lacking seasoning. Service was dismissive and amateurish. Overpriced for the quality of food.
Good to find an excellent and high quality restaurant in a relatively crowded field in Marylebone - wish I had been earlier !
Xavier has a great restaurant. Good location , excellent food and wine combined with attentive and fun staff.
Set lunch that I had was very good value (2 courses with a glass of wine). The friend I was dining with wasn't keen on either of the 2 starters so did pay a lot more just for a main course and a carafe of wine.
Third Sunday lunch at Compton’s Blandford. All really excellent and much enjoyed. We will definitely return
Lovely decor, nice ambience, the perfect place to have a good chat with friends in a lively but civilised environment. Welcoming and warm service. Our waitress noticed we hadn't finished the starter and asked if there was a problem with it. We mentioned it was a bit salty therefore not suitable for us. At the end of the meal we found she'd taken this dish off the bill because she'd informed the chef who tried the food and agreed it was over salted. This is a great example of professional, unobtrusive service that pays attention to detail and is respectful; impressive. Will certainly return and recommend to friends.
Needs redecorating !
Orange fabric chairs are so dirty and smothered with food stains.
Paint work tatty.
Toilets not sparkly.
Love this place but needs refreshing urgently.
This was one of the most enjoyable restaurant experiences this year. The mains were delicicious - we had tagliolini with crab and chili and roasted quail and tiny mushrooms. Starters and desserts equally tasty - asparagus with jamon iberico and lemon tart with yoghurt ice cream. The service was friendly, with just the right interval between each course, plus a good bottle of Cotes du Rhone Lirac. Good evening, very good dinner.
Wonderful place for a delicious lunch with close friends. Food and wine excellent. A definite return to place.
What a wine list!
I need lunch here every day.
You don't get to choose whether you sit at the bar or a table. Food is perfectly fine, but focus is more on a local brasserie experience for catching up with friends over food and a bottle of wine.
We went for my husband's birthday with our family and we had a fantastic experience. The service, food and and atmosphere was 10/10. They matched the food with beautiful wine and came in with a birthday cake at the end for my husband. We will be coming back soon!
Service indifferent. Ribeye tough and tasteless. Chips tasted like the frying oil hadn’t been changed for ages. Martini excellent.
Four of us enjoyed an excellent meal at this restaurant after an early evening concert.
The choice of dishes was different from the norm and each of the four main courses selected was very good.
Value for money was good and the staff were friendly and efficient.
Just off Maryleborne High Street, fun little French-influenced eatery has neighborhood feel, with a no fuss approach to Bistrot/Brasserie standards. Open latish, especially for this quiet part of town. More a place to take friends vs a business party. Not bad for singletons either, given it has a 10-12 seat marble counter
I can't fault this place. Beautiful truffle carpaccio. Amazing mackerel. And wonderfully light ravioli. Wine list is strong. With a focus on tasty rhone wines. And cheap. £50 a head with good wine for three people. Will be back as soon as possible.
Lovely place, nice location, lovely staff and lovely food.
Perfect place for Sunday evening dinner, especially when there are few choices around. Food is consistently good, great wine and a comfortable surround.
The menu is relatively small but offers good choices. The presentation and quality of the food was very good, and portions were reasonable yet sufficient. The wine list is large but moderately expensive. Service was good but not fussy. A very nice first experience; we will return.
Our second visit back and it was Superb! We were in London a week and dined at some of best but hands down Blandford Comptoir topped the list. The cocktail and wine selection paired with the perfect sized portions of delicious food will satisfy your palate and have you wanting to book your next visit. The staff were a delight! Professional yet fun and attentive. We felt special and can't wait to return.
Had a lovely lunch at this restaurant yesterday. The courgette appetiser and the seasonal salad were both great, but the onion soup was very small and disappointing. The mains made up for that: my mother loved her onglet and I had a very tasty mushroom ravioli as my main. At 50 pounds for two including a glass of wine, we thought it was a great deal! Would certainly return and recommend to friends!
Overall a very enjoyable lunch
blandford comptoir has always been one of my favourite place in Marylebone- cozy atmosphere and seasonal menu- the pork belly tortellini was beautiful and flavoursome, the mackerel tartare was perfect! A fantastic wine list which made it very hard to choose from as I want to taste everything. Thank you for another wonderful evening.
VG food, excellent service and wine advice from the sommelier
Amazing wine list
Small, charming restaurant with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good menu and presentation.
We had the set menu given for Valentine’s day. We shared the dishes and enjoyed the food; the highlight being the monkfish. We were sitting at the bar which was more spacious than expected, however, we were placed close to the staircase leading to the toilets which wasn’t very comfortable. All in all great experience, I would go back but request another spot.
Very good and good value set lunch, good service, cheerful staff. Nice location.
