Great food and ambience. Thank you. Will definitely return
Really wonderful time. Food brilliant. Yann, the sommelier really helpful and they even sorted out mouse from the bistro for dessert.
Lovely restaurant. Really nice ambience and excellent food.
I go here quite regularly. The food and wine are excellent albeit the staff can be less attentive than you’d hope and could do with an improvement to their manners. That said ambience is great and we always enjoy their food. It’s a hidden gem and usually tourist free
Always a pleasure to dine here.
Staff are so we coming.
Food and service perfect
Very relaxing dining experience.
A good bistro, reasonable priced and quite busy on a weekday. A bit noisy as it was busy. Food above average, not too keen on fish with tomato sauce.
Lovely cosy venue
This was my first time here and I loved the cosy basement ambience of the place. It was a quiet night and I was dining alone but I had two delicious courses and received very attentive service. I will be trying it again soon!
The food was exceptional, we had our booking updated to the restaurant, previously only ever been to the Bistro (which is fab) so this was unexpected. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the staff were relaxed and entertaining. The meal was on the pricey side but it didn't matter as the food was so good.
As excellent as it ever was. A real City stalwart.
Service was exceptionally slow. Took ages to take our order, no water offered and when cheese board was requested the board was left behind our table for 15 minutes until we got up and started to look at it which triggered a waiter to finally come over. 3 hours for a 3 course meal is not acceptable
Great food, slightly let down by the lack of humour from the waiter but overall great meal
Good for romantic dinner. Quiet and stylish. Great service and ambience
A perfect evening as usual.
We bought new visitors to the restaurant and they loved it
Not keen to tell too many friends for we may create a difficulty in getting a table
Disappointing. Been going for years but not been for a while. Food ok but not as good as had. Suckling pig exceptionally disappointing as large slab of dry roast pork. On complaining said the right things about letting chef know but left with the impression that they really didn’t care. Lovely setting but again starting to look a bit shabby. Lovely lady at reception best thing.
Lunch was excellent and every bit as good as I had remembered it from years ago, if not better. The welcome was warm and the service was attentive. The restaurant had listened to my request to have a quiet table. My only constructive feedback on this was that we were then sitting in a cold booth away from the fire. Anything that could be done to warm up that booth space would be great.
Excellent all round as usual. Looking forward to our next visit already
A well balanced set menu with delicious wine pairings in an historic setting, good service and and at a reasonable price makes for a very favourable review
Excellent - friendly, professional service, very good food and pleasant ambience. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Will be coming back.
Set menu is fabulous value and the food was delicious. The service is good but not very friendly. I would still go back and recommend the restaurant as the food is more than worth the visit.
Delicious dinner here: roasted beet salad with goat cheese, a delicious fish sauteed in butter, and creme brulee (which turned out to be large enough to be suitable for sharing). Fine selection of wines by the glass, including a very nice Puligny Montrachet via Coravin. Ambience was warm and softly lit, a romantic place that even close to full was not especially noisy. Service was spot-on, friendly, attentive and efficient.
Food was great, sommelier had the patter and experience, not all servers had the grasp of English so could not answer basic questions about the food, menu or anything really.
Would recommend for the food.
bonne cuisine, excellente présentation, modernité et qualité.
The set meal at the Bleeding Heart restaurant was reasonable value but the pheasant was a little dry. Service was good and the atmosphere is warm
This restaurant never disappoints us - whatever the event or the company. This time it was a double birthday and with family coming together. The food was commented on by all individually as superb; service was unobtrusive (just one slip on final bill) and always responsive; the wine from their NZ vineyards was outstanding; the table companionable and the ambience charming, restful, secretive and not at all noisy. It felt an absolute treat!
They had the fire on and it was a little too hot , But I love this place X
Set menu with wine pairings provides a excellent meal for a very fair price.
Service a little slow.
Romantic setting with exceptional food and service.
Food was very good.
Service was a bit chaotic on this occasion and could have been better
It was the perfect venue for a date. An authentic, historic atmosphere, a warm welcome and excellent food. The connection with 'Little Dorrit' wasn't exploited, but I sensed the connection with Dickensian London. The staff were friendly, discreet and observant. It was a pleasure that I look forward to repeating.
We all loved the food - it was outstanding, as was the service. Highly recommended.
wonderful, delicate food served very courteous staff . we want for the special offer but the quality of the food and the staff amazed us. excellent
We had a fantastic meal here.
The customer service was excellent, and the food was even better.
Bleeding Heart is a consistent Gem and always pleases.
Food was phenomenal, staff very attentive and friendly, a truly beautiful experience! Very reasonably priced too!
Visited on two occasions in the last month and the quality of food and wine continues to impress. The sommelier particularly helpful in accommodating the demands of the wine buffs in our group. The cheese trolley is a delight; perhaps should be covered to keep the insects off!
Excellent food and service. Was going for the set menu but could not resist the A La Carte. It was well worth it, with some excellent wines to wash it all down.
Everything was great but can I suggest there is a ticket in ticket out system implemented when coats or umbrellas are left for safe keeping.
Great spot for fans of French cuisine and good wine, perfect for anniversaries, too. Food was delicious (recommend scallops, fois de gras, risotto, chocolate fondant). Was only disappointed with the creme brulee, something was missing. A great wine list. Super smooth and friendly staff. Top spot
