We had a pleasant time here, the cocktails went down well and the music was to our taste. However, my friend and I were left wondering if the name was an ironic pun. It was so dimly lit that every time people wanted to look at the drinks menu they got out their phones to shine the torch light, leaving us blinded! I don't think we'll be returning.
Great atmosphere, lovely cocktails but 15% service charge slightly excessive.
The setting was beautiful and the drinks were fantastic. Service was on point. Would highly recommend for friends or couples.
Brilliant hidden bar. Quirky and fun with excellent cocktails. Try the Marseille!
Only had drinks as there was nothing that met my dietary requirements on the online menu though we weren’t offered a food menu anyway.
It’s a beautiful venue however, low lighting and intimate before the live music began. The live music however did not impair our ability to hear each other and continue to enjoy the evening.
Really enjoyable place to sit and have a delightful cocktail. Staff were very helpful and gave great recommendations.
Nothing too much trouble. Nice and secluded so not crowded. Defiantly would go again
Cocktails excellent. We didn't eat. Booking & service efficient. Quite expensive.
Fantastic venue, great choice of cocktails and wine, everything was high quality
Great place for a one off experience, but I won’t be going back. 2 drinks comprising a cocktail and a simple G+T, and a bowl of nuts cost £36!!! Although the service was good, it is criminal to add on 15% for people just having a drink.
The bar is a great idea, entering through the ‘golden handshake’ door to a dark but beautiful little room, but it’s not worthy of the prices. The candles on the table were in beautiful crystal glasses, yet the glasses the drinks came in were totally inferior, and cheap looking considering the price of the drinks. The presentation of the drinks was average, and really needs more of a special touch.
The service was great, and staff professional and attentive. I would have preferred to tip them than have the extortionate service charge (that our waitress will never see) added on.
As I said, it’s a nice place for a one-off treat, but not really worth the money. I have been in far better secret bars.
Blind Spot has been my favourite bar for ages now.. everyone I’ve taken there they love it!
Very good but small drinks for high prices and the chairs were not stable
Fabulous cocktails, lovely setting. Really enjoyed it. Will come again
My wife and I were here early evening on the Tuesday following Easter. It was quiet but it didn’t feel empty as the lighting is low. It’s done up like a sort of secret hidey hole - you enter through a concealed door in a bookshelf in what I think you is a hotel lobby. 3 drinks plus 4 tapas = £85 inc service so it’s exprnsive, but I would go back. Perhaps not in a state of hunger or thirst though.
This was a fantastic space in the centre of London! The cocktails are unbelievably imaginative and delicious
Good place. Friendly staff. Very expensive menu.
Fabulous spot for pre or post theatre cocktails. Would recommend
Great club filled with nice chilled out people of a certain class which created a very good ambience. Pricey but you get what you pay for, would definitely recommend this over other bars in the area. Staff very efficient and pleasant and professional. Pre book a table as it gets very very busy.
Great vibe, fantastic location
Very low key with great music.
Great atmosphere and a great spot for a date. The drinks are delicious but certainly not cheap.
The atmosphere is smart and lighting is moody, nice venue for a quite drink
I was pleasantly surprised with the very relaxed and classy atmosphere. Staff were exemplary. Company and I had a wonderful time. Very sophisticated drinking spot with really nice cocktails from around the globe.
Nice atmosphere. Food is very average but that is not the point when you go there I guess.
A high choice of cocktails !
Nice spot, great cocktails. Service good
Food was not bad, but I didn't order any memorable snacks...
Expensive cocktails, but the cost is more than made up for by the classy atmosphere and convenient location for a pre-theatre drink. Hard to find the entrance - but that was part of the fun. Also - not too noisy - which was a big plus.
The cocktails here are amazing!
However we did find the lady at the door was discriminatory. We approached with no booking in a party of 3, the lady took a look at my boyfriend and promptly told us no space was available. He had smart jeans and had a woolly hat on. I went on open table and booked us a table for 3 within 15 mins. This time she again repeated the full booking but showed her my reservation confirmation. So she reluctantly let us in and seated us in a booth for 2 even though other tables were available.
The staff within the establishment was great and welcominv, and even kept a wallet that was dropped by another guest.
Tried to do a walk in at about 6.30pm but was told "no tables available" by the woman on the door after she gave me a bit of a dirty look up and down. I was dressed more than adequately for the venue. I went on open table and booked a table at which point she pretended she couldn't find it. tbh it felt like it was a bit of a racial rejection. After we proved we had a reservation she begrudgingly let us in and there were several tables free that remained free throughout our visit. Cocktails were great but not sure I'd like to go again solely on the woman on the door.
This was our second visit to the Blind Spot, we came back after having a really great first experience. This time round, customer service from the front desk was non existent, and once we sat down it was just really slow and flat. We asked to be moved from the stools to one of the empty booths, to be told they were reserved or held as first priority for hotel guests- but no one arrived to claim them during our booking. The food we ordered was still cold in the centre, and whilst the waiter very kindly replaced these and removed them from our bill- the second order was still cold in the centre. Once our drinks arrived I asked for a straw, and was still waiting while my partner was half way through his, so I got up and got it myself.
Great ambience is still there, but recommend booking for groups 3+ to get the comfiest seats in the house. For the prices being charged, I would expect more, but probably wouldn’t bother returning after this experience.
Interesting place and good that you can book a table for late drinks. Very pricey and watch out fo 15% service charge. Service not acceptable for a 5 star, get the feeling they only want a certain type of person as customers. Nice atmosphere though and would go again. Can’t rate the food as we only had drinks.
We had a perfect cocktail hour with amazing drinks delivered by the lovely staff at Blind Spot. The cocktails are crafted to perfection, favourites included the perfectly named Marrakech that evoked memories of souks and the old town and the scrummy Warsaw.
No food menus offered but cocktails were good.
First we got served raw chicken. Then instead of shrimps we got octopus. The waitress seemed inexperienced and couldn't recommend what is good to order. She was very nice and polite though. After all that our bill got messed up and we didn't get the 3 for 15 offer as supposedly you have to say in a comment while booking you are going to use that offer. But! The menu isn't available on the website to there is no way of knowing that offer even exist and on the menu at the place it doesn't say you have to specify you order that rather than a set of 3 appetizers. In the end manager was so kind to amend our bill but still we had to discuss it quite a lot which was unpleasant. The cereal vibe and feels is really nice as is the staff. But. The quality of service is not as expected for such a place. Wouldn't recommend to avoid unpleasant experience of having to justify everything you do and order.
We had amazing apres opera drinks in a wonderful atmosphere
Very nice cocktail bar with music
Great to drop in at the end of our evening, it felt hidden and private.
Cocktails great, live DJ was good & service was attentive not intrusive.
Overall lovely end to our evening.
I love the cosy feel of this place; warm and comfortable. Waitresses knowledgeable about cocktails. Can’t comment on food as didn’t eat but cocktails and snacks were delicious!
Shockingly expensive nibbles and that's on top of the mega expensive cocktails and wine. I ordered the chicken wings. Maybe they should be called winglets. 3 tiny wings, they must have had to trim off some of the wing to get it that small. 3 tiny dumplings for £7 another rip-off. The calamari was very good and in a good sized bowl until you realise that it's sitting on top of some salad leaves! Very disappointed with the food. Wine list is great and my friend's cocktail got an "ok" verdict. No real reason to return...
I would only recommend this place due to its beautiful design, loved it!
However the service is terrible! Waiters are talking over your conversation with other team members and in a different language. It was 3 of us and once the two of us got our orders, the waitress instead of coming closer to my third friend to take his order (it was a bit loud already because of the music), she just started shouting over us? Our table was in the middle so it was much easier for her to just come to his side and take the order rather than shouting over our conversation? She was a bit weird? Maybe she had a bad day, as she just looked quite miserable...
overall, the ambience and the place is pretty amazing, just the service was poor which was quite disappointing -especially in a place like that where this should be a key.
Nice idea with a 'secret' door to this bar in the St Martin's Lane Hotel. It's quite dark, and when we went at 6.30pm on a Saturday evening before dinner, fairy quiet and chilled with a few empty tables. It's low, comfortable seating and table service, with an extensive cocktail list. It worked well for what we needed...but the service was quite slow (not enough menus for the four of us!) and we asked for some nuts / snack and nothing ever materialised. The cocktails were good - pricey. I would say that the main drawcard is the fun of this being a secret venue, in a nice hotel in a great location. We would probably go back if we wanted a pre-dinner drink in the area.
Poor decor, champagne served was from previous day (the waiter replaced it), no bites and nibbles, and the music was not great.
Great secret bar. Amazing cocktails and atmosphere. Lost a star due to overly loud and incongruous music selection which didn’t match relaxed vibe. ( thursday night)
