Very nice pub/restaurant not far from Westminster attractions. Food was very good, exceptional scotch egg and fish and chips. The service was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and chatty.

Lovely, spacious environment for a relaxed meal. The staff was very attentive and kindly found a quieter corner to accommodate our family, as one member of our party has hearing loss. Warmly recommend!

Came here on a last minute whim, it was pub food that tasted great and was enjoyable. The balsamic vinegar gimlet is a new favourite of mine for cocktails now. I will definitely be recommending this place and be coming back.

Great food as always and great ambience. Was very busy so glad I booked, and service wasn't as "instant" as it has been in the past, but still very quick and attentive. No complaints and will definitely continue to have the Blue Boar as a favourite place for lunch.

Booked reservation for evening dinner. On arrival staff weren’t prepared. Once seated it took half an hour for the order to be taken. Then at the one hour mark drinks still hadn’t arrived. Once reminder, drinks arrived as did the food. The setting was too noisy. Too much pub noise from the flock of people only in for a pint. Staff need to be more attentive for booked diners.

Sampled the Welsh Dragon hot dog, with a relish and flavour that lingered pleasingly. A small bowl of French fries were supplied, but ‘chunky fries’ would suit the dish better. Three large handmade battered onion rings and a bowl of a courgette and yellow pepper(?) sauce finished the plate. Good value if you fancy a no frills feed.

What a gem of a restaurant. Service was wonderful. The fish and chips were done perfectly accompanied by the BEST mushy peas! The toffee pudding was so delicious.

We have Sunday Roast at the Blue Boar every time we are in London. Sebastian and his team provide outstanding service and this complements the delicious food!! We are creatures of habit and thoroughly enjoy Roast of 56 day aged Cambrian Beef with the roasted vegetables. I love Old Fashioned and always order this drink. I heartily recommend coming here for a truly great dining experience. Looking forward to our next Sunday Roast at the Blue Boar!!

Terrible service. Took over an hour to get two salads. Food wasn’t good either. Order grilled chicken and it looks like it had been boiled instead. Skip this restaurant- there are much better places nearby

Food took awhile to come and when it did it was room temperature at best. I got a ribeye steak which is supposed to be very tender and it was very tough.

The food is not up to standard. I've cooked so much better myself. It's a shame as it's such a lovely restaurant. The dessert was good.. After coming back for another Sunday lunch, I can honestly day WOW what a difference, was so good today we had roast pork which is a loin chop. Was lovely. Thank you Tom (the manager) for a lovely reception. The lovely staff (Sheila) such a beautiful restaurant. Thank you. Hope the next time is as good.

Staff were welcoming and friendly the food was top notch really nice we had the cod and chips the fish literally just melted was delicious and the blue boar burger again was so well made and cooked to perfection. top marks to the chef. Finished with sticky toffee pudding just really good food in a lovely setting.

Non-existent service, more like a fast-casual chain where they bring the food to the table, but the job is complete from there. Dirty plates left on table for ~30min post-meal and water / new drink orders never provided. Pricing high for the quality of food provided. Chicken Tikka tastes like a Tesco microwave curry and the steak was £45, but very average. Steak should be priced below specialist steak house pricing. Seems like a tourist trap given location. Ambiance is nice though - looks like a nice spot for drinks at the bar but definitely not for a meal.

The food and ambiance was very good but the service was horrible. Our waitress initially was friendly, but disappeared for long stretches at a time. We noticed her chatting with one table in corner for extended periods of time. I complained to the manager that drinks we had ordered 30 minutes ago still hadn’t been delivered and he got the drinks for us. The waitress then walked past our table twice and ignored mine and my wife’s attempts to get her attention than we saw her chatting for an extended period of time with another table. We were annoyed and while I can’t speak for others, several other tables around us looked annoyed and also were frustrated to get the waitress’s attention. Staying at the Conrad Hotel, we have dined here more than once and have never had a good experience. The bar is always slow. In general this pub seems to have a sufficient number of staff, but they seem to not be managed and supervise properly. For the remainder of our stay we will dine elsewhere.
