A world-renowned dish with a selection of South East Asian spices including the famous Sarawak black pepper found only in the deep forests of east Malaysia. Seventy-two hours in the making, this intriguing dish will transport you to a memory from the Chef's childhood. Using ancient methods, the duck is air-dried overnight creating a delicate crispy skin that melts in the mouth. The duck is lightly smoked with cherry wood, accompanied by homemade pancake, baby cucumber, spring onion and a handcrafted condiment using hawthorn jelly that adds even more layers of flavour. Visited ‘Blue Jasime’ this evening and experienced great service and some lovely dishes. Slightly quirky menu and some dishes sounded slightly over complicated (I.e 2 tyres of chocolate with Lamb) but after speaking with the well informed waiting staff and ensuring some of the slightly more ‘novel’ ingredients were on the side (Sesome sugar with the Duck) we had a great evening. We had Curry Prawn and Crispy Pork to start, both very good, prawn curry may have benefitted from chopsticks and a bowl as opposed to a plate, knife and fork but was also of such quality it could feature as a main. Crispy duck with pancakes as the intermediate (the duck is cooked to perfection - similar to Hakasan / Duck and Rice / Park Chinois) and the pancakes were folded in quarters rather than flat which prevented them sticking - nice touch. Percik Chicken (I have misspelt that) for the main with Singapore noodles and rice. Great noodles and the rice was expertly produced We had to order 2nd portion of the chicken as quite small but that arrived in good time so no issues there and they did tell me that one is encouraged to order a selection of mains but as had been keen on the duck course we wanted to keep the main simple. Very well priced Wine - Gevrey-Chambertin (Rossignol) for just over £100 and some solid St Emilion for £65 ish. All in all £350 for 2 including service charge. Probably 50% food and 50% wine. Restaurant 50% full as Sunday night. You could eat there for less but as the wine is very well priced it’s worth enjoying some low mark-up wine with the food. The service was some of the best we have experience outside of top London restaurants. Highly recommend. Thank you for looking after us.

First time at Blue Jasmine and will definitely return there. Ambient is very welcoming, service is great and the food is really good. £188 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides, 2 bottles of wine and 1 desert (service included) so not so bad. Highly recommended.

The restaurant was recommended to me for a special night for three friends to all meet up for the first time since lockdown began in 2020. I was told it would be expensive, but truly it was worth every penny. Such a lovely place, with friendly, attentive staff & the most delicious, imaginative & beautiful food from starters through to desserts. Can't wait for another special occasion so that I can come back again!

We had a great dinner at Blue Jasmine last night, our first ever visit. Beautiful setting, prompt service, amazing food, and a good wine list. Our 6 courses, inc starters and sides, were all excellent, with wok noodles and crab; truffle seabass; beef; and octopus in turmeric and chilli the stand outs. Not a great fan of the automatic add on of the 'voluntary' 12.5% service charge, adding to what is already a fairly expensive meal out, but apart from that minor quibble, an excellent experience, and we will be back.
