A great night! Service was second to none and food was excellent!
Classy place for brunch and the restaurant is well decorated with plants. Food is good but not impressive. Service is a bit slow.
The overall experience was super. Only one minor draw back was the upselling by the waiter. We ate from the fixed £25 for 2 courses with a glass of wine menu which is great value. We will certainly return again.
Excellent service, very nice food
Very good experience.
Had a fabulous time at the Bluebird, the food was scrumptious and the service was impeccable. I will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone who's in and around London to give it a visit.
Very attractive environment at evening thanks to lots of green, space and glass ceiling/large windows which must make it extremely lightly at lunch. Impeccable and extremely fast service (probably too much) with excellent dishes combining fantasy, delicacy and right portions. Only recommendation if you look for a quiet occasion is to avoid it on a Friday or Saturday evening as the level of voice and music due to the proximity of the bar doesn’t allow to have a conversation.
Lovely restaurant as always, great ambience. Service was sporadically slow, but mostly good.
Poor service - waited at the bar for over 10 mins for service - girls on reception were on the phone and couldn’t find any staff !!
All very casual - too casual.
Building work below very disturbing and no offer to move to a different table which may have been quieter - just rather disappointing
Food was amazing, unbelievable flavour!
Service was impeccable
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It is such a fantastic place, the food was amazing. Perfect sized portions, amazing sauces, delicious sides. We were here for a birthday and the staff even brought out a dessert as a surprise. By far the best part is the service. Every member of staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, they were very attentive and wonderful to chat to. I am vegan and had a delicious meal but there were limited options. Without hesitation we would return.
Food was sensational, couldn't really fault anything. I felt my choices were better more so than my date's, which he agreed. The starter; scallops in tarragon and lime with creamy foam was simply lovely, then I had the lightly spiced chicken with kale, again another top choice, it was yummy and to finish, I had the chocolate cheesecake with blood oranges and sorbet which was divine, just perfect! My date had the custard and nutmeg tart which had an unusual goats cheese taste to it, so I was just thrilled with my choices. On a different note for the restaurant itself, whilst the decor was stunning and the restaurant service was all great, there does need to be a bit more lighting overall, not everyone can read the menu in dim surroundings, also the music was bit loud and grating for the restaurant, totally understand for the bar area but not appropriate for when you're dining. A bit of a letdown when you visited the loos, great to see Miller Harris hand wash & creams but no hand dryers and very very poor water pressure from taps (not great on a rainy cold especially). I was also disappointed to be told I was unable to change my reservation back by half an hour, to 7.30pm. It was my birthday and I wanted to catch a film beforehand, my date was coming from Scotland, explained all this to the the man on the phone who was friendly but couldn't accommodate which was surprising, as when we did dine at 7 and then an hour later or so I could see PLENTY of tables that were empty, so not sure why this couldn't be done! Very let down by this.
Food at The Bluebird Chelsea Restaurant lived up to its usual standard. Well cooked and presented dishes with friendly service.
Surprisingly, the restaurant was not very busy but the ambience was still good.
Food was excellent, service poor
Amazing atmosphere! Strongly recommend
Very good. Great venue and atmosphere
Eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the ambience and setting. Being Valentine’s night felt slightly under pressure to tie in with the next sitting at 10.15 and also were slightly more squashed in than was usual
We had the Evening Standard menu and the food was absolutely beautiful. The decor is so lovely comfortable. The service was a little disappointing. It is never a good thing to be made to feel that your server is impatient. That was the only disappointment. I will return.
Enjoyed our anniversary meal here. Steak was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. Dessert with "Happy Anniversary" message on the plate was a lovely touch.
Amazing evening and gorgeous food! Will definitely be recommending to friends
Absolutely first class imaginatively created food. The choice that the menu affords should delight any palate.
A most interesting albeit high-priced wine list with some gems for those that know!
I came for birthday lunch and it was utterly superb. We were greeted extremely warmly and instead of enjoying a drink in the bar we went straight into the beautifully presented restaurant. The staff were all on point and attentive even though it wasn’t overly busy for a weekday lunch. I started with oysters and we shared some other starters. The cauliflower salad, dressed crab and smoked salmon were beautifully presented and extremely delicious.
I followed this by a most delicious and tasty fish dish (Cornish cod) for mains with chunky chips of course. Not only was did it look and taste wonderful but the staff and kitchen were careful and helpful enough to cater to my dietary requirements. Although not having room for pudding I was presented with a special birthday plate and we enjoyed some champagne in the bar. Not having been to Bluebird to eat for quite some time (we usually enjoy drinks and nibbles in the cafe) i was hugely impressed and left feeling taken care of as well as well fed ! A lovely birthday meal indeed, thank you very much BB for looking after me
Great experience! Staff is amazing from front door till the waiters! Would recommend and def come back!
Had a wonderful dinner, great service and amazing cocktails!
Booked table to celebrate 15th wedding anniversary. Food was superb as was the surroundings. We unfortunately had a problem which nearly put a dampener on the evening but the managers responded quickly and we ended the night on a high. Downstairs staff really looked after us. Thanks to there professionalism we can’t rate this restaurant enough.
Just loved it! Very sophisticated! They know how to pay attention to the little details.
Lovely service and tasty food. Had a great time thank you very much!
Food came wayyyyy too fast!! Literally within ten minutes of ordering. We felt rushed.
Mistake with the water, mistake with the cocktails, mistake with the bill. Waiter, barely reacting, except of suggesting we are having a hangover after ordering bloody mary. We were a bit disappointed with all that mess as price paid was quite high for this level of service.
Delicious food and cocktails.great service.
Lovely client dinner, good service, high quality food and cocktails. Loved the ambiance. It was great to be back!
It could have been amazing but our table in the dining area was too close to the noise from the bar and we couldn't hear each other so conversation was very difficult.
Messed up one of our orders so that marred the experience too.
Would come again, good food and drinks. Service fast and friendly.
Wanted to try this restaurant out as it’s so renowned but was quite disappointed. Great service with front of house, nice decor etc. But food was not worth the money. We had salami to nibble at first which was similar to Tesco bought salami slices with some pickles from a jar on top... expected a bit more than that. Then had the veloute which was not dissimilar to my homemade vegetable soup. The duck breast was nice but a small portion. Our dinner came to £110 for our nibble, two courses each and wine which I definitely don’t think was good value for money.
Waiter very friendly, lovely atmosphere and food was lovely.
Will definitely be returning again in the summer.
Great experience! Food was tasty.
Would definitely recommend & would come back on another occasion. Thank you!
We had lunch on the special menu which included a glass of champagne- lovely. The food was excellent, and I am hoping to go back next week
A friend and I ate there a couple of days ago. We had the 2 course ES menu for £20.
The starter of cold pork belly was tender and tasted fine but was nothing special.
We both had the Shepherds pie which was extraordinarily rich but very tasty.
We had a side of beans and a carafe of house red and it came to under £80 in total, so a good deal!
We absolutely love the Bluebird and go quite often. The food is always outstanding and we always take out of town guests as it is one of our favourites.
However, on this occasion, we were left extremely disappointed by the service. Our waiter would quite literally throw down the glasses, cutlery, and plates and on most trips to the table (to deliver water, then champagne, then food) he didn't say a word. He was extremely curt and made us feel unwelcome. When I asked for the bill he just looked at me, walked away, threw the bill on the table, and walked away again. It was then a challenge to get his attention to bring us the card machine. I observed him treating other tables with the same mannerisms. We were (I think) polite and not difficult guests so not sure why this treatment was given. Everyone is allowed a bad day, but this was to the extreme in a nice restaurant!
Everyone else was pleasant from the hostesses to the other staff assisting but we will think twice before heading back in the near future.
