It’s a great location and fantastic service but the food is highly overpriced and nothing special. We have paid £95 for dinner for two with only soft drinks and main and dessert. Pavlova is a joke - overdone and like merengue you buy per kg with some lemon syrup on top. I would only recommend this place for the ambiance and the drinks and have a proper dinner somewhere else.
The food and ambiance was great. Only complaint was that they initially didn’t seat us at a booth which was requested in my booking, and also didn’t initially acknowledge that it was my wife’s birthday as mentioned in our booking. But overall it was a great experience and would definitively go back.
Great food, fantastic service.
Very poor service from the beginning. It took 10 minutes to order our drinks that arrived after 12 minutes more of waiting. It took 20 minutes for out food order to be taken , that happened only when I called a waitress to the table. 7 members of staff on the floor serving 5 tables only but finding time to share their opinions about the latest movie releases next to our table.
Average food considering the upper class chelsea locations and D&D standards. Tuna tartare blunt but not as bad as the steak tartare that was just some pieces of meat without any spices. When I asked for a bit of mustard and capers To give my tartare a bit of taste I received a look like I’ve asked for the waiter’s house keys. We paid the £400 bill but it was for the last time at Blue bird
Sorry for the honesty and I hope it will be taken as constructive feedback instead of another complaint.
Food wasn’t great at all, really slow. Dessert was old and reheated
Nice food and atmosphere
Thank you. So good!
It is no doubt this is one of the most prestigious locations in Chelsea, however the food leaves a lot more to be desired. You would think that they would have figured out how bad the food is by how empty the restaurant constantly is and people sending food back. The staff are flawless and the bar has terrific atmosphere, as for the restaurant? Stay away
We sat inside - it was a sunny day, so it was quiet. Had the set menu which is good value...
Fantastic service, great food and cocktails as always!
Food was good, room was way too loud and acoustics awful.
Good food and service as always
Really disappointing. Service to start was attentive then it just slipped, from waiters everyone to not one to be seen. Gutted to have ordered the Lobster spaghetti with its cooked pasta, it lacked lobster and flavour! My husband was offered a dessert, to compensate for his mediocre main, but that was a disappointment too!
Not often do my wife and I go out for dinner, the kids staying with a baby sitter. The place was perfect for a lovely night out. The service was good, the food was excellent. Definitely a place I would consider going back to.
Dined early with 3 children and had a great evening at the Blue Bird. Service was exceptional and the wait staff were very attentive and supportive to any of the needs as a result of having 3 young boys with us. Food was good (despite some slightly stringy steaks)with the stand out being the Blue Bird dessert - it came with a surprise that the kids loved! Ambiance is great with a nice combination of quiet dining upstairs with fashionable garden bar outside.. I would recommend it!
Amazing restaurant, good food
Service was attentive
ate in the upstairs dining room, very modern and pretty space, enjoyed the evening, only drawback was the rib-eye steak was thin with a bit of gristle, not what was expected
The air conditioning was not working making it a very uncomfortable experience
On the hottest day of the year the air conditioning had broken down, I have no idea how this place operated as it was absolutely unbearable and made my partners father extremely unwell that we had to leave as he was about to faint. I’m pretty sure on a health and safety level the temperature was in excess of what is acceptable in order for a business of this type to operate. It was my partners parents 30th wedding anniversary and also their joint birthday dinner and they had come up for the weekend to celebrate with us. We earlier had the most delightful experience at the Corinthia hotel for afternoon tea so we were excited to see how this place would be. I have never put a review in of this sort but I felt it should be addressed as the staff were accommodating, however on a management level no fans or coolers were provided.
Leisurely Friday lunch we booked the set menu and the food was very tasty and great value. My starter salad was very nice.
The lobster spaghetti was utterly disappointing and definitely not worth the plate it was served on. The spaghetti was totally over cooked and squishy, with a sauce that was non-descript at best, with no distinguishing flavours. This is the second time we have experienced bad food at The Bluebird. We will not be returning nor recommending it to anyone.
Went for brunch and loved it, the New Yorker breakfast 👌
The interior and exterior design is welcoming, the staff are attentive. My main course tasted weird and I was unable have it.
Great food well served and presented in a nice atmosphere!
Set menu was good value but quite limited in choice for the main courses - drinks very expensive. Our waiter was very good and looked after us well. Food was served fairly quickly - no real grumbles at all.
The Rib eye here is amazing and so is the Malfadini. This is great for informal dining.
Aircondition was broken so the space was unbearably hot. Food was not good either the new yorker was just a lot of cheese and hollandaise for no reason. Very disappointed...
Gave my daughter a small cake, candles and chocolate wish.
A good buzzy place
although i booked for the Set Menu offer: 2 courses for £20, 3 courses for £25. They did not offer the menu, they gave me the standard menu. They put me in an embarrassing situation with my guest. I did not get the offer. I remember they did the same about a year ago, I had to remind them that I had the offer. All they do is to get you in the restaurant and sell you full price. It is an abuse. the booking using open table does not work, they do not honour the booking. Very bad
Buzzy restaurant, nice food. Served too quickly, felt a bit rushed
Had dinner with a friend.
Asked the waiter if I could have something that was on another dish and instead of saying that he would ask the chef I r ceivdd a very direct NO! Followed by an uncomfortable silence. Apart from that enjoyed the evening.
Wonderful as ever and what I’ve come to expect from D&D Group. Very buzzy atmosphere especially during Chelsea Flower Show week. Great selection of dishes, all flavoursome and beautifully presented. Top marks!
Usually always have a great time but this time the service was so horrendous it ruined the evening. Won’t be back any time soon.
Restaurant was barely full. Staff shoved us in table at back by wall- had to ask to be re-seated near to a window.
Had to call staff over every time we wanted to order. Were not helpful when asking to order off a la carte menu as well as set.
Food was expensive for 3 pieces of dry lamb on a plate with no side... or even the tiniest vegetable garnish at all.
Get better food and service at the pubs around Chelsea where I live, like the Cross Keys.
I am a lover of dining out around west London and do all the time. I rarely have bad things to say, but to say this was poor would be an understatement. I would be likely to highly recommend friends and family do NOT dine here.
Poor poor experience
Food was excellent. However, music too loud for eating (dinner, Saturday night). We couldn’t talk at all... I was dissapointed.
Service and location are great but the menu is not what it used to be. Very little choice and nothing very inspiring.
Everything was great but maisonette portions were very small. We didn't have starters or dessert, just main & drinks and it was £85 and we went to another restaurant to fill up after.
I would visit again if there was a theatre menu or perhaps larger mains.
