For lunch & dinner we serve our smoked meats, all cooked the true American way which means our BBQ pitmasters work around the clock to ensure the 'cue we serve when our doors open is the best you will find - it takes nearly 48 hours of loving care and attention to perfect each of our smoked meat cuts.
For breakfast every weekend from 9am, we serve up freshly made-to-order American pancakes with delicious toppings, as well as fully loaded smoked breakfast plates.

Always an excellent experience visiting Bluegrass, Reading.
Food - excellent
Service - excellent
Atmosphere - excellent
Cleanliness - excellent
We rarely eat out anywhere else.
Can’t wait to visit again in 2021!
Great food always leave full! On line service during COVID works well. Quick delivery
I enjoy the food and drinks because it reminds me of home, but this is not the best because the portion sizes are terribly small and you have to stack up on sides, which were slightly greasy
Our first time out since COVID-19 struck. Felt safe. Food was delicious as usual.
I had Pork Belly and burnt ends, 1 had chicken, another had the burger. The meats were dry and over cooked. The burger was fine.
Warm and welcoming always enjoy my breakfast at bluegrass and I keep going back
Food was dry & bland. Overpriced tbh. The atmosphere was good tho
FOOD WAS LOVELY AS ALWAYS,
WOULD RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND
CANT SAY ANYMORE THAN THAT
We had an excellent breakfast experience. Great quality ingredients and delicious flavors.
Despite the restrictions just to compliment the staff on the service, the two girls serving us were outstanding, as was the food. Thanks.
Fantastic place, we went for breakfast and the options were varied for both sweet and savoury delights. Will definitely return the brisket and pulled pork looks too good to miss!
Really good breakfast pancake with apples pork and bacon. And lovely bottomless tea with extra tea bag
Wonderful food, tastes amazing, great choice! Don't bother with the side of Nachos - its not expensive, so tempting, but you only get about 10.
Really nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. Felt very clean and the staff are great.
Awesome as ever!
Food cold when arrived. Waited nearly an hour for our meal. The desserts were sent to our table before our mains. Never go back
A little disappointing if I’m honest. Food was ok though Cole slaw was weird and not the best. Restaurant is so cold makes it uncomfortable. Not sure I’ll be rushing back
Food was poor, and it was freezing in the place. We put our coats on. Left a load of food just to get out quickly.
Staff however were brilliant
Great food, really enjoyed it and good for families!
Amazing food but took over 45mins for our food to come.
Nice relaxed atmosphere for Sunday brunch. Great food , service and bottomless coffee as well!
Would recommend
Staff very helpful, and food was awesome as always thank you
We were greeted and seated quickly. The server explained how to order (QR code to online menu). Drinks arrived quickly and so did the food. Food was amazing, we loved it.
My main issues were that we were seated pretty close to other diners and no waiting staff checked on us during our meal, I was given incorrect fries but didn't complain as I honestly couldn't be bothered trying to flag a member of staff down! Fries still tasted great so... Also remember to order sauces online so that they come with your food.
We dined at Bluegrass on Halloween; it was noiser and busier than we anticipated, and this probably explains nobody checking in. But, it's a basic level of service we expected and have experienced here before so we were disappointed to not talk to any staff.
Good food reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow considering it was 3/4 empty but could also be due to COVID restrictions
Excellent food good value. Sent back for breakfast
Portions were very small has the macaroni cheese with burnt ends. Was also very dry not enough cheese. The peanut butter sundae made up for it though.
Delicious meal. Very well organised for covid 19, good service and fun atmosphere
Excellent as usual! We can’t help by coming back in an attempt to try everything off the menu!
App did not work for me had to resort to utilising staff which was perfect, however gave up on waiting for child’s dessert in the end resorted to having this as a takeout, just not enough staff to cope with the clients
Great place. I love the brunch menu and I wish it was available all day everyday :)
Terrible booking app for buying a meal. Items wrongly put on app,
Took thirty mins to book food !!!!
Suggest they have option to order food from the waiter who has iPad .
Very poor
We booked ourselves in for Sunday breakfast specifically for the pancakes. They were yummy and was nice to get some American treats as a luxury
Loved the background music and styling . Will go back for dinner
Breakfast was very tasty however we had to ask for our drinks and they finally arrived after we had already finished our food.
It was very cold in the restaurant but overall a pleasant experience.
Would 100% recommend to anyone. Excellent food, excellent service, friendly, welcoming staff and overall fantastic night out.
The service was terrible, our food was ready but no one around to serve it, even the chef was getting annoyed as he kept ringing the bell, obviously by the time we got our food it was cold and dry. Would never go there again
Very crowded area, we were placed in a corner with 4 tables, relatively closed to each other, all full, which means we were more than 10 people in the same corner.
I would have assumed that more safety measures were put into place. AirCon was on, although it was quite a cold day.
Staff were lovely and food was good, although the salad seemed a bit off.
The service wasn’t great.
We couldn’t use the app to order food.
We ordered through the waitress who took our order but at no point did she approach our table to ask if we wanted more drinks, we had to go and find her!
We ordered dessert which came apart from a peanut butter sunday after waiting 15mins after everyone had finish we had to find a waitress to ask where it was! The waitress then went to get it and brought out a brownie and banana Sunday which we couldn’t eat as the customer doesn’t like bananas. We told the waitress and she said she couldn’t make a new as they had run out of ice cream.
Service as bad.
Food was ok had the ribs and brisket, fries were fresh and bbq sauce very tasty. Service left a lot to be desired was meant to be American style restaurant so perhaps give some service to match. Saying hi when you arrive wouldn’t go a miss, I know it’s table service and everyone was in a masks on but a little bit of effort will really make that place a good place to eat.
Was alerted that my table was ready 5 mins early, whilst finishing at a bar. Upon arriving, after waiting 5+ minutes to be even greeted by any member of staff at the door, we were taken upstairs to find that they had prepped a table-for-two, for our booked table-of-four. As a result we had to wait an extra 10 minutes to shown to our table. The restaurant was adequately staffed, and the number of tables was low, especially for a Saturday evening.
Ordering is done on your phone, via a QR code. The app/website to order through needs some work on it. We ordered some extra sauce at the same time as an extra round of drinks. The drinks arrived after 10 minutes, but after 20 minutes of waiting (and not eating, with a 10pm curfew ticking down), I went to the bar to ask about the sauces. I do not know where that part of the order went, as they had to look it up, and then pour the sauces out of bottles into servings at the nearest station. We then had to return to our table together, as the server could only pass the sauces to me at our table, rather than socially distant across the bar.
The food was good, and I would give them another opportunity, in the hope that this was just a one-off.
Bbq food is always a vote winner, but I wouldn’t recommend Bluegrass Reading on a weekend. Food took 45 minutes to arrive with parts of it cold. Atmosphere wasn’t great as ended up being sat in a corner with a loud boys weekend party. Service staff were kind, fast and polite in trying to remedy a clearly over stressed kitchen.
We came for my partner’s birthday celebrations and were given the best service possible. The staff were very attentive and helpful. As a group of 6 (the max you can have under the current rules) we were seated in a private room even though we did not request one so that was a very nice upgrade. There was a slight mix-up with the order but this was corrected by the staff quickly considering the restaurant was full that evening. Overall a very pleasant meal!
