Blueprint Café has one of London’s finest views, looking out across Canary Wharf to the east, with Tower Bridge and the City to the west. Chef Joe Albina has made his mark on the menu, serving modern European cuisine, and has designed a menu using fresh and seasonal ingredients carefully sourced from local farms and suppliers in the British Isles. Joe has created a series of playful and nostalgic small plates, each with a contemporary twist. with British culture as the inspiration behind much of his food.

Thought the food was very unusual and tasty. Location great. The only issue was that with the place pretty empty the starter in particular was served lukewarm
Great service, lovely setting and tasty food!
Admittedly it was Valentine's Day and they had a set menu, I arrived about 830 and it was 90% full, and after asking to relocate to somewhere more comfortable, we had to wait 20 minutes before someone took our drinks order which took a while. My starter order was incorrect and our main course was tepid. Our dessert was OK. We were given free dessert wine for our delays and we heard another table behind us lodging a complaint about their service too. Maybe they were understaffed, but this was my worst experience here in a long time. I will choose other restaurants in future, if I have to choose a romantic venue for 2.
Inventive menu with fresh ingredients.
Great staff and the perfect view of the Thames
The only good point is the view on the Tower Bridge. For the rest it is pityful... we waited for our food for 45 minutes... even to get some fries for our starving daughter. And my course was not what was on the menu... potatoes instead of cabbage with my salmon... the overall impression was that it was panic in the kitchen though the food wasn’t bad but i don’t recommend ...
excellent meal at BPC. the short, seasonal menu always brings difficult choices, as everything sounds great. I opted for the chicken terrine & the bavette with whipped potato. Both excellent. Due to excellent portion size, we didnt manage to eat a pudding. We went on the d&d deal, so 2 courses & a glass of wine for £15 is incredible value. Unbeatable
the food was really nice but the menu was limited. great views across river.
Beautiful food with stunning views . Always a great choice but when the evening standard deals are on its unmissable . Great value . Can’t think where Else you could eat Such wonderful food for the money . Then add in the view of Tower Bridge ....
I didn't know the place exist! It was fabulous. Great view, lovely food, lovely staff, a tiny bit expensive on the alcohol. I just wish they have something with custard as their pudding 😘 This is GREAT place to take friends, family and colleagues for brunch, lunch and dinner. Lovely intimate casual place for quick meetings. Great place in evening to bring your date. I'll definitely go back.
Good food and excellent service in a superb setting.
Christmas Day lunch. As expected it was very busy. The food was tasty but the portions were on the small side.
I am writing a short review even though we ultimately did not eat at Blueprint the evening we were booked. The reason... they only had one limited Christmas Eve menu on offer which was not at all clear on their web site. We arrived, sat down, but when we saw the menu there was little we actually wanted so, very disappointed, we left. Thank goodness Pont de la Tour which is part of D&D and close-by came to our rescue and we enjoyed a very pleasant meal there. At other times Blueprint menus look interesting and the location is beautiful.
Lovely atmosphere and stunning views over Tower Bridge and towards the Isle of Dogs.
Service was excellent. Our waiter suggested a delicious, even preferable alternative when the starter I was going to order was no longer available. Creative dishes, beautifully presented.
a great little restaurant with fantastic views. A simple but well thought through menu.
Nice food, good service, excellent view!
Good value for money compared to other nearby establishments.
My friend and I allowed 2 hours for dinner before attending the theater. We arrived at an almost empty restaurant and we were greeted nicely. Our order was taken and we waited and waited....eventually after waiting almost half an hour we asked when the food would arrive and, fairly promptly our starters arrived. We also had to ask for our main courses and our deserts. There were plenty of staff , so I'm not sure what their problem was. After all our prompts, we managed to have our meal and pay in just short of the 2 hours we'd allocated. The food when it eventually arrived was delicious; well prepared and nicely presented.....the views across the Thames are spectacular, especially in the evening, but having a constant eye on the clock does rather detract from the enjoyment. Although we had directed our complaints to the management, they neither thanked us for our custom, nor apologized for the poor service when we left. I recommend this restaurant in the hope that service will improve!
The service is not good at all. I found the waitresses are rather rude.
The food is of small porter, however, it tasted good.
The view is amazing and probably that is the only positive.
My 3rd visit this year and it didn't disappoint.
The food was fine but was very difficult to get service. Our flight in was delayed so I called 3 times within the 3 hours leading up to our booking to advise, but I couldn’t get through or get anyone to return our call. In addition, the restaurant was not very busy at all so I’m not sure why.
Great British classics on offer here; I haven't seen soft herring roes on a menu for ages, they were delicious. The set menu is great value and there is a short but well thought out wine list. The staff were all welcoming and friendly; their informal yet professional service style fits the venue perfectly. The restaurant itself is very modern, being in the former Design Museum building, but is also very comfortable and has fantastic views over the river and of Tower Bridge.
Haven’t been for years. The views continue to be brilliant. The food is going down market a bit. So don’t expect fine dining just good solid modern British food. Service very friendly and willing.
Great service, small portions but delicious. We had beef curry and expected that with rice than chips but it was tasty. View was great, we were obviously close to the windows.
Nice space, good food, understaffed as usual so service was slow and spotty.
Food was ok. We had the Beef coconut curry. It was absolutely nothing like a curry. It was in fact beef stew! It did make us laugh. Couldn’t believe they were calling it beef coconut curry as it had no coconut or curry in the dish, just beef. Starter was nice and so was the desert. The service was good and the views over Tower-bridge was very nice.
Would return for the chilled atmosphere, but would look at the menu online before returning and would definitely NOT have the beef (stew) curry again!
Great food, friendly and helpful service and amazing views of Thames River!
We will definitely come back very soon.
Thank you Blueprint Café!
Excellent evening overall, great view and ambiance. Food and service also excellent. will be returning soon.
Had a lovely relaxed summery evening with good food and wine, and a great ambience helped by the beautiful views of Tower Bridge and the Thames. Excellent value with the ES offer. The chocolate brownie with almond ice cream was delicious!
My second visit with friends. Set menu is excellent value. Wine is reasonably priced. Amazing views of Tower Bridge and the Thames. My one criticism would be lack of staff which resulted in slower service. All in all, a worthwhile restaurant.
Great views, service and food average
The service was great, I love the view and the food just amazing. I will definitely go back again.
Lovely food at a very reasonable price and stunning view.
Lovely setting and furnishings, delicious food
Amazing dinner and service with stunning views of the river & Tower Bridge.
Very happy with the quality of food. We shared some starters around the table. All delicious. Definately recommend the smoked eel and Scampi. I had the Sea trout main which came with Crispy parma ham. Yum!
I will definately be back to try the Lamb!
Excellent as always. Great food, good views, lovely service and exceptional value for money.
Do not miss this gem on the river bank in London. Excellent food and hospitality.
Such an amazing place! Food was delicious and well presented especially Smoked Eel. Staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful.
Views of Thames River from restaurant are stunning!
We had a lovely afternoon and we will definitely come back very soon!
Quality of the view seemed to come at the price of the quality of the food.
Starter of asparagus, egg and parmesan was tasty but pedestrian.
Main of bavette and fries was only just passable. Bavette quite tough, saved by excellent fried.
Desert of coconut pannacotta was pretty good, and worth eating again.
The staff seemed a little confused between ‘can I have a few minutes to decide’ and no attention at all.
Overall, not a disaster, but also not the quality and value the view deserves.
Beautiful views of the river. Great service and lovely food. Very impressed and will be going back again soon
Menu selection is far too restrictive, only 5 items for each setting - starter, main, dessert and a very disappointing choice of 5. When we were there on Thursday evening there was some kind of event taking place with people standing and clapping their guests - this should be a private event, not what you want when you’re having a quiet dinner with a friend.
We enjoyed a great dinner at Blueprint last night. I had an asparagus followed by a seabream. I finished with a chocolate mousse which was one of the highlights. Service was just perfect. Will defnitely return.
