Bluespoon - Andaz Hotel
The rules of traditional fine dining disappear at our Amsterdam restaurant where everything is in service of the most important aspect of food: taste. In the heart of the city we serve uncomplicated European flavours with a Dutch edge.
Our chefs create rustic, seasonal dishes with locally produced ingredients, pairing them with specialty wines, locally brewed beers and exclusive cocktails. Combine this with the stylish and eccentric Dutch-inspired décor by renowned designer Marcel Wanders and our personalised approach to service, and you will enjoy a full culinary experience!

Amazing food & wine, on the expensive side but totally worth it as a treat.
We had a four course menu and every single course was outstanding.
Amazing! De bartender nam echt de tijd en er werd geen probleem gemaakt dat we wat later aan tafel gingen!
Every time I visit Bluestone at the bar or restaurant I am always impressed with the innovative cocktails, fabulous food and friendly service!
Wonderful meal with fantastic service! The staff was extremely attentive and every course was delicious and unique.
Fantastic food, the video art menu was outstanding and great value. The staff were also wonderful.
We wanted to eat at the bluespoon to celebrate the engagement of my friend and my own university graduation. Unfortunately one of the waiter made us feel that we didn't belong to this place. Two other waiters were kind and polite so at the end it was a good experience. But I would not recommend this place if you have not a lot of money to spend and you want to be treaten correctly. Food was ok but not worth the price. I would recommand the restaurant Jansz really fency and beautiful a great food not to expencive and a perfect service.
I had a dinner Saturday night in Amsterdam, Bluespoon is a cool place , with a nice atmosphere, a beautiful open kitchen , great service and a really tasting menu . The sweetbread was incredibile , and I can say the same for the main course dish which was the Entrecôte.
Thanks guys , I will back !
Good restaurant and menu but execution was, a little lackluster. Beef was over cooked, service was a little lax and missing a special touch.
I was in town on business trip and meet a friend for Saturday night dinner. Service was amazing, food was delicious and wine pairings were spot on!
The meal was stunning. We loved the open kitchen. The food was really first class; imaginative, beautifully presented and absolute fine dining. Service was outstanding and extremely good value for the quality.
Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Wait staff explained everything and were very attentive. Music was too loud and better suited to fast food eating than fine dining. Nevertheless, i recommend.
Tasty food, interesting service and polite waiters
Very bad food , i found a plastic stick inside my salad
Interesting and tasty food but very poor service with a lack of attention to detail.
Attractive space. Interesting menu. Limited wine list especially the reds. And expect a long dinner. Ours was four hours for three courses!
Wonderful restaurant. Relaxed but stylish. Cooking is Michelin star quality without a doubt. Great flavors and beautiful presentation on the plate. Open kitchen means you can see the chef brigade working their magic.
Increíble lugar, muy bonito lugar, la porción de la comida es muy chiquita
Went to Bluespoon with my mum to celebrate my 40th birthday. From the moment we arrived the staff treated us like royalty and every course that we were served was exquisite. The restaurant has a wonderful ambience and the decor (by Marcel Wanders) is very unique. If I am ever in Amsterdam again I will definitely return to Bluespoon
Great restaurant. Recommended to all. Excellent food. Great ambience. Exceptional service. Highly recommend.
Very pleasant diner in a very open setting. You can see the open kitchen and is very modern with enough attention too the preparing of the dishes to give an extra twist.
Looks amazing, taste even better.
Food was fantastic and the wines that accompanied were well chosen.
However we had pretty poor service. My wife and I are Americans but have been living in Amsterdam for almost 2 years. We understand that service in Amsterdam is different than other places. We did the 4 course menu and it took over 3 hrs. The time between when the 2nd course plates and wine glasses were taken and third course wine was poured was 45 minutes. We were forgotten about. When we were finally able to find someone they asked if our main course had been served yet. We had said no. Another 15 minutes went by and we were served. So that is an hourr between courses.
During the time we were waiting between meals we noticed that other tables that did the wine pairing were allowed to the taste the wine before having it served. We were never offered to taste. In addition we noticed that the English speaking tables were not offered tastes, but the Dutch speaking were. This is a hotel restaurant, why should there be a difference.
Overall, great food, poor service and I will never go again.
Gazpacho: Good but did need more of the liquid element alongside the lovely fresh additions. Liquid barely wet the surface. Intense flavour. Veal tenderloin delicious and meltingly tender. Accompaniments good but not as good... fennel simply cooked in a quarter, nice reduction somewhere. Pasta was simple and well done. Apple dessert basically a mille feuille and v light not over sweet. Fair selection of wines by glass but nothing v outstanding. Willing if slightly distracted service. Only 2 tables occupied and the wines came late so heaven knows what like if busy! Does feel a bit like you are in a hotel lobby which of course you are....Would go again, but not sure if lunch or dinner.
This was by far the most amazing experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
The staff were very helpful and insightful with all the food brought to the table and very kind.
The manageress was very welcoming and lovely, she was also patient and full of knowledge all about the food and wines. She also informed us that the ingredients and cooking was typically Dutch with made the experience more authentic.
We went for a birthday meal for my boyfriends birthday and with him being a chef he is very particular. He said his experience was very enjoyable and he thoroughly enjoyed all his food especially the short rib.
My favourite course was the ‘in between course’ of Scallops. This I can honestly say was the most delicious and incredible dish I have ever tasted, the flavours were amazing and wine paring matched it beautifully.
I will definitely be coming back when I next visit Amsterdam and can not wait to taste the chefs new dishes, should they change.
Thank you to the staff and chefs at Bluespoon for a lovely and enjoyable evening.
Really nice restaurant and lovely atmosphere. Hotels design is very unique and the garden is very picturesque.
Open kitchen is very good to watch and the chef is very talented.
Had a 2:30 reservation but when we showed up at 2:30, we were told they had closed at 2pm. Then they sent us to another restaurant which happened to be closed as well once we got there.
Our meal was fantastic. The wine pairing were excellent and service was great. I highly recommend it.
Wow what a gorgeous restaurant. The food was fantastic, wine was delicious, service was everything you would expect from a fine dining experience and the ambiance of the restaurant was phenomenal. Really beautiful. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, as would my 4 friends who I dined with.
Tolles Essen, offene Küche, angenehme Atmosphäre, aufmerksames und freundliches Personal
Amazing brunch, the decor is just amazing.
Relaxed and nice dinning ambiance with excellent food although limited menu choices. Service was very good and overall experience for this in hotel restaurant was excellent. Check menu prior to assure items meet your taste and choice in dietary as well as appetite desires.
Pre-fix option is a good value.
Truly outstanding. As good as anything we’ve had in Los Angeles, New York or Paris.
I had a really unfortunate experience dining here. I had sent the restaurant a list of my allergies (of which I do have quite a few and their quite serious) to the restaurant in advance and went over them again when I arrived. I was assured that the dishes I ordered would be fine, however I ended up having an awful allergic reaction that ended up lasting over 24 hours. I was so physically ill that I wasn't able to leave my hotel room for the entirety of my weekend trip to Amsterdam, except to go to the hospital where I had to pay over $200 for treatment for my allergic reaction. On top of this, we still were asked to pay (albeit a reduced amount) but I find this particularly frustrating, especially in light of then having to pay hospital bills for this meal. While the team were really nice and were obviously sorry, I would not recommend this place to anyone with food allergies.
Good choice of wine
It was Mother’s Day and the staff made the moms feel very welcome with greetings and a small gift.
As usual, great food and service!
Excellent food in a very stylish setting. Will be going back next chance I can.
Wonderdul place, délicious dishes, attentive staff
Everything is great - food was well prepared but the presentations were a little busy/overworked/over the top for my taste. Short rib with cashews, micro greens and more details.
perfect, well done. we come again
perfect chefs menu
It was ok, but expected more. Saw some pictures on social media that looked nice however once there it felt a bit bland. It's a pity because the restaurant is pretty.
