Good customer service and food was good as well definitely coming back .
I was well taken care of by the staff and the food was very unique and tasteful. The staff gave a great recommendation for our entree. Will definitely come back in the future!
The food was alright. However, the view and restaurant’s setting was great.
Love the outdoor seating too.
Over all a great first time experience. Plan on many more visit in the future.
Thank you BlueSky
We had read Brad Johnson's review of this restaurant and couldn't wait to try it. High Expectations were in place. Unfortunately, just about everything came crashing down from the moment we arrived. We were informed that we had to be out of there in 1 hr 45 min due to high volume of diners. However, we sat there for nearly 20 minutes waiting for our cocktails to arrive and still hadn't ordered food. Finally we ordered apps. Duck Confit Crokettes and Grilled Octopus. Both arrived Cold. And the Duck Confit was no where to be found. I think i saw a minute spec of dark meet amongst the filler. The second course was Patatas, the menu listed them as a specialty item. What came was diced potatoes, not crispy at all, with little flavor. The next course, the main, was Paella and Dover Sole. Both were cold. The Paella was subpar, some shellfish served over a thin layer of dried up rice, The pan was cold as well. The fish had a good flavor, but because it was cold, we sent it back. They asked us if we wanted it warmed up. LOL, seriously, we said no, make a fresh one. The one that came back had no flavor, and was again cold. We asked to speak with the manager. A young lady came over, and said she wanted to make sure everything was fine, and that everyone leaves happy. That's it, no I'm sorry, we will make it up to you, that's all just to be sure that we were happy, then she walked away. We were offered a free dessert, what came was a tiny piece of cheesecake, barely big enough for one person. I understand this restaurant is new, i just find it so hard to believe it has been rated one of the top restaurants of the new year in Orange County. They need to do better, we will not be back. One positive, our server tried so hard to overcome the restaurants shortcomings, he did a great job.
Srvc was amazing. They weren't through section by section & we're very patient with us! Definitely going back again
Food was very expensive, my pialla was VERY overcooked, burned to the pan actually and everything was super super salty.
It was really great experience, amazing atmosphere, great staff
Needs to have a pause put in during the basque menu. Also, would have preferred pigs checks at the end.
Overall, the food is way overpriced. The $105 steak was burnt on the outside and overcooked on the inside, and many items were underseasoned and bland (like steak, lamb, duck croquettes, and squash).
The view and the overall ambiance outdoors were good, but that’s not enough to bring me back.
The only real saving grace was the friendly and attentive service.
This was our first time to Blu Sky and it did not disappoint. The waiter was very good at recommending dishes and his experience level with each dish was impressive. The octopus was some of the best I have ever had at any restaurant. One big negative was the shock of getting a $45/bottle corkage fee for each bottle of wine we brought in to celebrate with. I have no. problem paying a corkage.......... but $45/bottle after we ordered cocktails also???? I think that is a bit excessive and certainly cause us to come here less often. Out side of that, we really enjoyed Blu Sky's menu and service.
Atmosphere is really cool and unique. Food is not very good at any price; doesn’t look appetizing either. Paella had dirt in the mushrooms, was like eating sand, duck was okay but I’ve had better, and octopus was really tender but wouldn’t order again. Waiter, Erick, was awesome, attentive, and charming. I might go back for drinks and appetizers, but not for dinner.
I had the worst experience in my life , the manager there just want to collect money as much as he can regardless of the customer experience , miss leading information to let you pay a lot of money , I paid 530 $ in a very bad quality food with no drinks and sharing table with other stranger couples I forced to seat with them in the table , and this was not shown from the beginning , when I asked him why it’s not shown on ur page he laughed because ppl doesn’t read and they pay a-lot of money then they come , u can say they used me because it’s already the NYE and I already booked and it’s non refundable so you have to pay otherwise u will lose ur money and lose the NYE
Nice view. I was not impressed by the food. The ambiance was amazing.
plates are pricey but food was great overall your paying for ambience which stood up to its standard the place has a floor to its self great view clean and elegant so the price of plates are priced right for a venue with great views and good host will they have my return visit of course great place if you ever want to wow that special person!
Highly recommend! Tasting menu is a must try. Service was top notch! Definitely going back
The staff were all very attentive and prompt. The drinks were great. The food was good but not really worth the prices we paid.
Three people $500 for tasteless smallest portions I’ve ever had. Tried something new and it was horrible! Been to a lot of different cultural food establishments and this was the worst ever in my life.
Radisson take note! 1 on scale of ten and that’s because of the view!
Save your money don’t even entertain going here it’s terrible
Christmas with family
Food was good but very small portions! Great drinks and excellent view of Disneyland! Very expensive for the value. We left hungry! Great place to go for drinks and ambience.
The restaurant has a fantastic vibe on the patio as it overlooks the 5 freeway and DIsneyland just beyond. However, the food is far subpar. Our strip loin steak was cooked so thoroughly (asked for medium well) and the squid ink rice was more salty than seafood-y. The water is normally served room temperature (which is fine), but we asked for one iced and one hot. The iced one was okay, but the hot water had a very funky taste to the water. When brought up, the server said the hot water is from the espresso machine, which could make sense why the water tastes so funky. The food is quite overpriced for the quality so you're really paying for the view and the ambiance.
ARROZ DE MORILLAS CON SECRETO IBÉRICO DE BELLOTA Y TRUFAS NEGRAS was okay (a little bit salty) It was pricey, not wroth pay $85 for plate.
PAELLA DE BOGAVANTE was good. it was tasty. Recommend for people who love seafood.
JAMÓN IBÉRICO DE BELLOTA CINCO JOTAS was good but over price ($45/oz)
Overall, if you want to try something different (Once in a life time) with the view to Disneyland but overprice, I would recommend to try, but for us, we wouldn't go back again.
The view is amazing and even better if you are there at 9pm to see the fireworks show from Disneyland.
The price is too high for the amount of food and the quantity is too small. They charged bread too and the food was not that impressive.
But place was cozy and window view was beautiful. The service was good.
Great great service and ambience. Server Kevin was extraordinary!
Made reservations on OpenTable.…Got there about 45 minutes early … On the reservation said it was our anniversary asked for widow table… Bar staff was awesome drinks were great… Then it took a turn for the worse… The maître d’ set us back in the corner as far away from the window as possible” sorry not everybody can you have a window seat“ he was a complete A** know it all… our apologies to the chef we never got to sample his food which is a bummer we walked out… won’t go back…
My friend and I had a phenomenal experience dining here! The manager and staff were very friendly and accommodating and our server was very attentive and quick. We sat outside and it was beautiful, but be prepared for the cold if you choose to sit out there as heaters and fire places aren’t at EVERY table. I’m looking forward to coming again!
Great Atmosphere and Service!
Why is the lil manager passing out his business card to women
The ambience is really nice.. food a bit pricey but i think it is undertandable why. Service needs a bit of imrpovement , i had to wait long for my drink and had to ask 3x. Outside seating needs more heat lamps , thy say theyll give us blankets but forgot. Overall maybe 7.5/10.
This was the second time we have been to the Blu Sky Bar. Just like the first time it was fabulous. The food was amazing, the service was great and they took us in 2 hours before our reservation, which was fantastic. We will definitely be going back.
Friendly service, good atmosphere, will visit again
The food was great. I noticed the employees all seemed to have such a wonderful happy work environment. They all worked together they respected each other in their conversation. The manager John was great. We were served by Scott Marissa and Annabel. Scott took our orders Marissa brought the food and Ana cleared the table. All three worked so well together. The tables were couch style I thought I wouldn’t hear the other person but the ambiance was just perfect. If you visit don’t forget to get the validation at the reception.
We Had dinner here on our 54th wedding anniversary and were made to feel very special by the wonderful staff and great food. Overall great experience.
Overall decent dining experience. With a premium price on the tasting menu I expected a little more in terms of quality and taste. The wine pairings were spotty. We were seated outside and the fireplace went out on a cold night. They turned it back on after about 5 minutes. We had gone for a birthday, however they seemed to forget and at the end of the meal they brought a card and apologized for not putting a candle in the dessert. Service was ok, our servers were very nice and accommodating. Overall lacking experience, however it was an experience. With prices on the very high end, there are better more delicious dining experiences in the area.
Excellent service delicious food! Will return
The service is good everybody there is knowledgable about their food. I tried the Basque Country Experience with Wine Pairing. The wine is punchline of every single cause
Great service, great food. We loved everything about it
Nice view. Food is actually pretty good. The portions are somewhat bigger than usual. Waiter was good. Only issue was that he had a hard time accepting that a drink was not made properly. However, he fixed the issue in the end.
Great outdoor spot but for food, its small pprtions amd pricey. Mostly everything is al la cart. Good view on 12th floor. Definitely a spot for drinks only..
