The place looks lovely and the food is nice (best large sirloin ever) but the menu is not very original and the service is very haphazard. Everything seemed ill-timed.

Good food in beautiful surroundings. Drinks a bit slow. Husband ordered a beer and they brought a cocktail instead; not a problem, mistakes happen, and the manager who brought it was apologetic, but had to wait 10 minutes and ask again before we got the beer. The cocktail was on our bill also. Hopefully just customer service teething problems.

Choice limited. Dishes overpriced. Have had better burgers that cost far less. Charging that much for bread and butter, and calling it a starter was not amusing

Having recently experienced the new restaurant for a client lunch earlier this week we have felt it necessary to leave this feedback. This is meant to be constructive and hope that you take it as such. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is superb. This is exactly how we would expect the venue to be and the recent refurbishment is perfect. However, turning to the food, it is not a good sign when ordering your meal that the waiting staff advise that you will need a side dish. If this is the case, then that should indicate that the portion size of the meal is inadequate. The service is also sadly lacking. It should not take almost two hours to have a main course and coffee. The restaurant is ideally situated for the business lunch market for client entertaining, however, the lack of speed of service, staggered delivery coffees ie party of four, two receive their coffee, the further two coffees delivered to the table c. 10 mins later, is simply not acceptable. We would dearly love to use the restaurant more often for client entertaining, but the lack of attention to speed of service is letting you down.

Really disappointed. The hotel has had some changes made which don't compliment the character of the building. We had to wait when we arrived to be greeted, 2 couples were in front of us so a poor start. Restaurant wasn't busy, took an age to ask us if we wanted to order drinks, then didn't bring the drinks for a long time, waiter rather than bringing us our drinks was looking to take our food order. Starters were very average (lamb and goats cheese, although the scallop cerviche was the better of the 2). My main meal a steak cooked medium rare was burnt on the surface and probably more towards rare than medium rare. The meat was poorly seasoned and poorly cooked in my opinion. My partners pork was decidedly average. I think they've really missed the mark with the refurbishment, trying to be quirky and cool which again doesn't compliment the grandeur of the building. Ambience is poor as the sound system hasn't taken into consideration the acoustics of the room, so the sound is very unnatural. Music choice was also terrible. Really disappointed as we previously loved eating at the Blythswood. Service disappointing especially given how quiet the restaurant was.
The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating.

Beautiful interior, classy environment. We had a starter and a main each and shared one dessert. All were presented beautifully and all tasted exceptional apart from the scallop ceviche which was not liked. I would say that the menu was pricey for lunch but there again taking in the whole experience it was to be expected. On a minus, I didn’t like the 10% service charge added to the bill.

Pork pie starter delicious. Steak described as 6oz sirloin was a small very thin minute steak and very over over salted. The restaurant manager did remove £26 charge from our bill. Disappointing. Our second bottle of wine was had a heavy sediment deposit, again a reduction in price was given. Staff didn't appear to be fully trained yet, no clean glasses for new wine, no plates for cheese until asked for. Hopefully will improve with time and more training.

I have provided feedback to the restaurant, however not replied yet! room for lots of improvement but hopefully this is down to being new?!?! Lots of better places to spend money on lunch in Glasgow
Service was shocking , our waiter didn’t ask if we would like a drink we had to ask him if we could order , my glass of champagne arrived in a warm glass . The food arrived on wooden boards ..... why ?? One dish was the macaroni which very nearly landed on my lap as it slipped on the piece of paper on the aforementioned wooden board a nonsense . The macaroni was dry and I don’t believe it had any cheese as the flavour was so bland . Love the new decor especially the bar but sadly it a case of style over substance .
This is a lovely new addition to the Blythswood Square. Food was good and staff were lovely. Unfortunately some of the customers let the side down. The table next to us had a dog at the table. They were asked to remove the dog by staff but merely put it under the table. on the other side the Customer thought it was ok to add her own tuna (from a tin) onto her Salad leaving a strong lingering smell. Unfair to criticise the restaurant for this but did spoil our afternoon.

I was a bit disappointed to be honest after the rave reviews. The trout was lovely but for the cost plate was minimal. The macaroni and cheese with brisket had a small pool of oil as the brisket had not sat long enough. Cocktails were good as was the service.
The decor was lovely, the service wasn’t what we expected in terms of getting drinks before our food. The food was lovely, 21 for the fish is a bit steep with no sides and the menu could be slightly bigger. Overall it was good but could have been a bit better!
Great food and environment! The service needs to be improved a bit as we waited quite a while for our food to be served. Cocktails menu needs an upgrade too! Limited variety offered at the moment
