Lovely food friendly staff and service
Will be back .
We had a absolutely amazing afternoon. Food and service was 10 out of 10 . All the staff where soso friendly and happy nothing was a bother . Would highly recommend
Perfect experience. Couldn’t fault and excellent value for money.
Amazing evening. Service A class and lovely touch to celebrate our departed friend with a toast. All dishes were flavoursome and great value and if you get Cameron as your waiter you are in for a treat. Nice n Easy :)
For a 5 star hotel we were treated appallingly from start to finish. The cocktails were tiny took to long to come, we had 2 drinks in 2 hours! The food was excellent but at 5pm we were told we couldn’t have the table any longer were put to have our 3rd drink in the corridor. Then without asking the bill was thrown down to us. I was saddened we were treated so badly. I’m a young professional at a big law firm in town and I’ll be letting all my colleagues know not to go back! Shocking
The ambiance in the restaurant is lovely and the staff are very helpful and attentive. The food was nice but for the price it was a little disappointing, I would go to the hotel again to stay or for a drink.
Booked Bo and Birdy to celebrate my 50th birthday. The hotel is beautiful and the ambiance lovely. Service was great however food was very disappointing. The tomato soup was bland and the burger tasted like a frozen burger from Iceland. Extremely disappointing.
Wonderful down to earth service
Delicious food and we had a very decent bottle of wine
Very grand location - one of the best example of a Georgian square in Glasgow
Beautiful surroundings, staff could not do enough for us, especially Cameron who went above and beyond, food was excellent also. Will definitely be back
Enthusiastic waiting staff, but let down by a dull room (compared to its look under previous ownership) and apparent absence of any management.
Menu massively overpriced eg Scottish scallops at £15 would be perfectly reasonable for 3 scallops but not for just 3 slices of a single scallop.
Great service, all staff happy and attentive! Delicious food & cocktails. Lovely ambiance and overall appearance.
Beautiful dinner with superb waiter staff who were very attentive
Our first time visiting for a belated 50th dinner and we weren’t disappointed. The food was fabulous. But credit to the waiting staff who were extremely attentive without being annoying. We’ll definitely be back
Great food & drink and lovely staff, stunning bar and venue, maybe put a dress code in place as lots of T-shirt’s and trainers but great place
The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and the staff were great. But the food let it down. The soup and chicken were bland. Some dishes were not substantial enough for a main meal. The food needs to be delicious to charge these prices. It was too hit and miss for me to want to go back.
Fantastic experience. Really enjoyed the whole experience, food was fantastic and the staff went out of their way to help us.
Not massively impressed really for a 5* hotel. Food options aren’t that interesting and what I had (crab linguine) looked like something I would make at home. Nothing really wowed me but it was tasty enough.
Good wine list and staff very attentive and pleasant. Nice cocktails too.
Disappointed in quality of food as bread was hard around the edges on sandwiches and both cocktails were spilled on arrival and no replacement offered. Afternoon tea was decent enough but appeared to be less food than previously when I have visited.
Great place. This was my first time. I will be back again for sure
Service was absolutely terrible. The surroundings are beautiful and the food was very good but the service really does stop me from returning to dine here. We followed the rules and waited at the host desk in the main hotel lobby just outside the restaurant for 15 minutes and were not acknowledged. I had to walk inside to try and find someone to seat us. We were then scolded for entering without being asked. I explained we had been there for sometime waiting and we had a spa appointment to make later and so did not have all evening.
Once seated it took 20 minutes for someone to take a drink order and then another 20 minutes for our food order. I had to get up out of my seat to ask to make an order as it seemed like we were invisible! Food did not take long to arrive and was lovely when it did. We sat with dirty plates and empty drinks for a long time before someone cleared our table but there was no offer of more drinks or dessert menu. I would have been understanding if the restaurant was busy but we dined at 5pm on a Monday where there were 6 staff and only 3 tables to wait. Staff were more interested in polishing glasses and scrolling an iPad than tending to guests. I expected a much higher standard given the 5 star hotel it is attached too. Basic customer service training will go a long way here.
I was disappointed really. We went because it was included in the city's top 20 restaurants but it didn't hit the mark. The calamari was soggy, my coley fillet was well cooked but bland and the service was pleasant but they kept forgetting small things. I woultn have minded but for 3 courses, coffee and a beer came to about £50 per head. Having eaten at Crossbaskets, Cromlix, Rogano etc. for that money, the standard of the food and service wasn't anywhere near worth the price.
We complained at the time and the management reduced our bill and again were very nice indeed. However, I cannot see past the extremely poor value for money and errors from the kitchen. It may have been an off day but in other places you know the standards are held firmly. I don't think we will eat here again.
So fabulous. Great for dressing up and people watching. Firm favourite for a ladies lunch on a sunny day, sitting by huge windows. Evenings must be pretty special too. I'll be back
Had the best time , service was great and such lovely staff! Can’t wait to come back again
Excellent food and service - faultless
Classy but relaxed surroundings with a great menu and friendly staff.
Great interior, food, and experience! Would recommend!
Friendly staff, amazing food will defo be back soon
The service was pretty slow. My sisters arrived first and waited some time to order & receive their coffees. I arrived after them & had to ask it I could order a drink after waiting 10/15 minutes, by which time we were wanting to order food.
The restaurant was quite cold. There was a noticeable draught. Maybe this was due to Covid measures but it was still making us slightly uncomfortable.
We had to ask for the bill as nobody came over to us. Not the usual service from the Blythswood but happy to return as I'm sure it was a one off. Lets hope so anyway....
Nice night out for date night with partner
Poor service, rude staff
Probably the best afternoon tea I've had. I love coming there for my afternoon tea. The gluten free options are just the best yet
The food was excellent, and the staff were lovely but the service was unfortunately very slow.
Absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to go back again!
We visited for our anniversary and the staff gave us a lovely surprise of chocolates. Such a lovely touch
Due to the covid circumstances are so different from other times here. The girls that served us were just wonderful. We felt very safe and the cleanliness was amazing. We had a lovely afternoon tea so thank you so much
The person serving us Cameron was very polite
Decided to treat ourselves after work throughout lockdown. This was a beautiful restaurant in a stunning hotel. The staff were fantastic.
