Best Nachos we’ve ever eaten, and my Wife grew up in LA, so that’s saying a lot.
Marybeth was a wonderful waitress. Food was delicious. Drinks were potent and satisfying. Will return again soon.
Great barbecue and at reasonable prices. We go there because it’s the best around.
Delicious food and GREAT music made for a really fun night!!
Excellent bbq, sides and ambiance.. fun place for friends or family. Easy on street parking.
Greeted nicely by hostess, waiter was friendly and made some drink suggestions. The waitstaff dress in casual clothes, not uniforms or matching shirts. hard to tell who is an employee and who is a patron. I was skeptical when our waiter wrote nothing down, but the meals were delivered accurately by another waiter who did not know which order went to which customer. I was handed my platter instead of it being placed in front of me. (pet peeve). I had to ask for wet naps 2x and water pitcher was never refilled. Food was plentiful and flavorful. Overall very good.
Happily discovered this restaurant via Open Table. Had a late lunch while the place was quiet. Can see how it would be loud and energetic at a more popular time. Friendly and excellent service! We had baby backs and a salad, both freshly and well prepared. Highly recommended!
We went for Fathers’ Day and it was a mess. We sat at pur table for 45 min before getting drinks and almost an hour and a half before getting food. I think they never assigned us a server (pretty sure the guy we eventually flagged down was a busboy and tried to do it himself). There was no manager there and none of the servers stepped in to help. They ran out of basic stuff by 6pm (cornbread, ribs - it’s a bbq place on Fathers’ Day...). The whole place just seemed in chaos.
Yes, we had major issues from 6:00-7:30. I wont bore you with the details but I (the owner) was in the kitchen trying to get things back on track and we had a server who was injured in the middle of service which set us back. I truly apologize for your experience! Its not our normal performance as you can see from a 5 star review on the same day. We cook everything fresh-ran out of St Louis ribs for an hour while they finished in the smoker. We sold 4x the amount of Cornbread we expected.
We came for Father's Day lunch and would absolutely be back! The food was delicious , nice big portions, and you really felt taken care off by their staff. We love the new location and am really glad we tried it!
First time back to the new Bobby Q's since they moved from Westport. The menu is more varied, gluten-free options are clearly labeled and the food was delicious. My husband and friend tried the quesadilla which looked delicious and they said was fabulous. We all tried different drinks and entrees and again, everything was delicious. The service was wonderful, all of our orders came and were exactly right. Will definitely be going back soon!
We enjoyed the location in Westport, so we came to the new spot in Norwalk, but this location lacked the same atmosphere. The food was still good and enjoyed our meal.
Hi Katie-tough to recapture the atmosphere of that old building. We took this opportunity to change our look to fit our new neighborhood. Getting mostly great comments but I understand the positive feelings towards that old space. We had 11 great years in Westport but it was time for a change. Thanks for coming in and glad you enjoyed the food. We hope you will come visit us again!
I know they had trouble with their printer the night I ate there but the service was terrible. They had to take our order three times. It took 30 min for drinks to come out and they never checked on us. However, the brisket is great.
The food was good and the portion was just the right size. No children’s menu though and we had to ask for crayons. The waiters looked bored and disheveled and some stood around near our table. There was trash on the concrete floor which didn’t seem to bother the staff. Both men’s and women’s restrooms had run out of towels. I guess you get what you pay for.
This was my first visit to their Norwalk site, and I found it to be an absolute gem. The ambiance, outstanding food and attentive and personable service was greatly noticed. I look forward to returning as soon and as often as possible.
Good restaurant with good food with service staff that want to make sure you have a good experience. Went for lunch when it wasn’t very busy, but we were a large party.
We were seated quickly and the service was excellent and friendly. Lots of good choices on the menu. A favorite go to spot.
Fabulous food. Real burnt ends! Great atmosphere and congenial service.
Food is amazing!
I’m originally from Texas and was in the mood for a meal from home. The barbecue was fantastic! Their sauce was great too!
Enjoyed the new Bobby Qs, but missed an old favorite - barbecue pulled chicken sandwich - please bring it back. Our server - forgot his name was great - helpful & personable - though actual delivery of food (by someone else) was slow. Liked the Dude Flatbread the most. Would prefer a sturdier bun - maybe pretzel? For the pulled pork sandwich. Ours was soggy & hard to pick up. Like decor
We had exceptional service tonight (Conrad J)- he was always on hand to check on us, make recommendations and seemed to really care about our experience. The food was terrific for all. Will def go back. Family of five with kids from 8-13.
Very tasty bbq with a diverse menu. Brunt ends are an excellent starter! Nice cocktails & beer options. Added BONUS - really good band - had us wanting more.
Upon arrival (5:30 reservations), there were roughly 8-10 parties eating. The hostess looked extremely sloppy in what she was wearing. The server took a long time to first meet us. My wife and I, and our three children, ordered drinks, an appetizer, and entrees. There was no silverware/napkins on the table. We waited 25 minutes, at which time all our food was brought out at the same time (drinks, appetizer and entrees). I informed the food runner we didn't want the appetizer at that point, and he was very rude. There was STILL no silverware on the table. I had to call a different waiter over to ask for silverware as they were very short staffed. Our waiter was friendly enough, but admitted at the end they didn't have enough people to operate properly. He was very apologetic and offered us a free dessert, which was very nice even though we declined. The food was very good but it's difficult to want to return to a restaurant where the service is that poor/unorganized. Again, the restaurant wasn't even busy. Half of it was empty. Just very disappointing.
We were refused seating when we entered for 1/2 hour even though we had reservation.' there were empty tables and no one else was waiting.
Our order was confused one entree was forgotten, food was not great, Will not return
Service was very uneven. Our friends sat there a half hour without their food after two of us go
Took quite a while to get our drinks. No fault of our waitress. Bartender very slow. There was a band which was very good. Overall we had a good time. Service could be improved. We all enjoyed the food.
Great food but abysmal service. From a waitress who brought one drink at a time (took 10 min for a Coke), showed back up once only when delivering and didn't even offer dessert to a bus boy dropping the dirty trays on my husband.
This restaurant has so much potential, I hope they better train their people.
Outstanding ribs! The sides were great as well. Excellent service. Parking was easy.
Very good food if you like barbecue. Probably the best in Fairfield County.
The food was ok. Not as good at the old Westport location.
The service was just terrible.
Great meal in the new location!!
Overall pretty good!
Very good BBQ joint. Large portions , good quality and reasonably priced. Nachos were particularly good. Live music some evenings after 9pm.
We loved Bobby Q’s in Westport and were so disappointed at their Norwalk location. The hostess pretty much ignored us, the waitress blamed the long wait for drinks on the bar being backed up... then it was a backed up kitchen that didn’t send our meals out for almost an hour. There were two bright spots - a free drink as way of apology for the long waits, and the band. They were wonderful.
We went here for Sunday football and to meet up with friends.
We sat at the bar. Isaac was our bartender and was awesome! We were there for a few hours and from the first to the last cocktail, they were all made perfectly. They should probably provide him some help on Sunday afternoons around dinner time, as it got more packed throughout the time we were there.
Good bbq ribs and great brisket ... enjoyed the experience and would return next time we are in the area.
Awful service, waiter didn’t acknowledge our presence for over 30mins and subsequently “disappeared”. Table next to us got up and left before ordering. One of the host staff and bussers took over his tables. Second bad service experience in the past two visits. Very disappointing, because the food is good. Hope they can turn it around.
