The food was good, not perfect but okay. Our waiter was young and inexperienced. He kept pushing us into our next course while we did not want to until we finished our bottle of wine which he threw over the table.

Never again..

Really nice, friendly service. The food overall was very good. The brussel sprouts came in a very heavy sauce, but I can recommend the mac and cheese, french fries, and my salad. (The salad size was very generous).

I was there for a birthday dinner for two. The service level started out good, but went downhill when our waiter Gilbert took on a large table next to us. After our food was brought out we were summarily ignored and then I was brought literally the most stale piece of cake that I have ever been served.

I do not take lightly to leaving a bad review, but felt compelled to do so. It was to be a special dinner, that costs $300, so I truly expected a MUCH better experience. It was my first time, and I have no desire to return.

I had a Really good experience for my date night Friday. Me and my date ordered the lamb with green beans and Mac and cheese which was amazing. The lamb was a tad bit tough but very flavorful and still delicious. I felt welcomed and very comfortable here with such a diverse and attentive staff. I would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back to try the scallops and crab cake.

We went on a quiet thursday night and had a great time. Everything was well cooked, the only reason for 4 rating were for the desserts. Cheesecake was awful, no flavor and the ice cream the kids had , had freezer burn and tasted awful! We were staying at the sofitel so it was highly convenient.

We all went for hamburgers as the entrees and appetizers were very expensive — especially for lunch. If you want steak, an appetizer, dessert and a glass or two of wine, expect to pay well over $100 per person. The burgers were excellent and the portions were equally-good. Service was terrific and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.

After making reservstions online, I was very displeased to learn there was ONLY a special Valentine's menu available. I do not eat seafood and my wife does not eat meat. So in order to have the steak I was craving, i had to order the porterhouse for 2ppl. And order my wife a seafood dish which was extra. . the steak was way more meat for just me and much more money than i expected to spend for a single entree.
The dining rm was cold and very loud patrons behind us. However, By the end of the night, Our very friendly and accommodating waiter AND the high quality steak did make me smile.

We went on Valentines & unbeknownst to us it was a prix fix meal. The steak was flavorful, sides were lukewarm and nothing special and desssert wasn’t good. I should have known when the restaurant wasn’t full on Valentines that it wasn’t going to be great.

The waiter, Rodney, was excellent & went above and beyond. His attitude and helpfulness was great! The steak & shrimp were burnt & had to be sent back. When the Rodney brought out the second steak & shrimp he made sure I cut into it to make sure it was to my liking which it was. We thought for $100 per person on Valentine's Day, the food would be better, but we thought it was just average.

All the food was excellent. We used a three course prix fixe menu. We shared the Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail for the first course - both were great. Then the petit filet along with the salmon for the main course and brussels sprouts and mac & cheese for the sides. Again, all very good. I'm a red / green pepper fan but they were a little too much in the risotto accompaniment with the salmon. It would've been better if it was more mushroom based and a little less on the peppers. The cheesecake and chocolate cake were both great finishers. And we even got a 1/2 priced bottle of wine as that is a Saturday night special these days.

Awesome dinner! However I am not used to paying over $270 for dinner for two... Oh well - not something I would do everyday... Impeccable service though and superb steaks!

This was my first visit to Bobby Van’s. I must say that I was very disappointed with the food and service. For a ‘steak place’, the steak was tough and unappealing. We were there for a business lunch, and the service was painfully slow - we had to make several attempts to flag down our server to pay the bill.

The food was over priced for the quality my filet was pressed an so hard it was crunchy and tough. Not a lot of flavor. Service was nice but not great. It took several requests for drinks and there seemed to be a lot of issues with communication
