Prefer the lobster roll without prawns and less sauce
Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Only two criticisms I can think of - no garlic butter option for lobster rolls and the half lobster had very little meat. The lobster rolls were loaded so will be our go to option next time. Also, I did mention it was my birthday prior to arrival, but I’m not sure OpenTable’s message to them was received/read. Regardless, still super food. Don’t let my nitpicking come in the way of that.
Really friendly staff and great food. Highly recommend
First time here. The service was great. Staff were very friendly and provided a great service.
Lobster was amazing! The best we have had in a very long time!
It would be nice to have more options on the menu for mains and deserts as there’s not a lot of choice for mains and only one option for desert. Luckily I only came here for the lobster
We had an awful experience. Every plate of food bought over was disgusting. The scallops completely under cooked and I sent my lobster back after two bites because it was inedible. My partner ate most of his lobster but ended up spitting some of into a napkin because it tasted awful. Would not recommend at all especially for the price of the Lobster. We have eaten lobster many times before and didn’t realise it was possible to ruin it as much as they did.
Food was amazing, service was a little slow at times but I think that's as we were sat outside.
Terrific food, great service and good wine list.
Good food at reasonable prices and would definitely recommend!
I booked a table for 4 and the restaurant had a booking for 2. Staff lovely but we only had a cramped table for 2 with 4 chairs
Great food. Great service.
Great quirky place, food was excellent.
The food was quite good, however the doors in this restaurant don't seem to work. We had a really cold draft coming in from outside the whole dinner plus the toilet door was jammed open leaving wash hand basins and mirrors in full view of the dining area.
Food OK, crab cakes stodgy but tacos said to be good; grain salad stodgy and too salty, fish pie over salty, lobster tails good but neither of us wanted them swimming in butter, makes them difficult to eat with butter sloshing about. Fries good and crispy. Service somewhat erratic, it wasn't busy but took ages. Unlikely to go back.
First time and enjoyed thoroughly . A relaxed venue for meeting friends
Amazing food - so much flavour packed into everything. Service was friendly and fun, really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Where do I begin, best lobster roll in town. Fish tacos where so delicious !!!!
Service was poor. My cocktail got spilt in delivery and I had to ask for a replacement.
Food was average at the very best. Dry bread, chewy lobster
The food was okay but waited 25 mins for the bill.
Great food and service in a great environment. All the dishes we had were delicious and we ate in a tapas style with loads of different stuff as it came out of the kitchen. Really helpful that we ordered a dish of that came with three tacos and they asked if we wanted to order an extra one so we could have two each.
This was our first visit and maybe our only visit to Bob's Lobster. The cocktails were really good. The service was friendly but. just. so. slow. The food was fine (but just fine, not Wow) and there is a proper mismatch between the portion-size, the venue, and the prices. Fun idea, poor execution. It wasn't unpleasant, but I wouldn't recommend it.
I booked through Opentable approximately 20 minutes before arriving at Bob's Lobster, and although they did not have our reservation they were able to accommodate us at one of the high tables. Nice ambience, staff friendly, pleasant and accommodating. The food came quickly (fish finger sandwich and lobster tail, both with fries) and although portions were on the small side, they were delicious. One mouthful of the lobster tail was undercooked and wine was expensive at £8 per 125ml glass (although G&T was reasonable at £5.50). Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Wow! Great flavours shame we couldn’t eat it all! Definitely recommend Bobs
Delicious food! Great flavours in the fried white bait and squid. The lobster tail and claw was delicious.
The lobster was raw so had to ask for it to be cooked. No apologies given. Quite pricey considering we got 4 plates as suggested and 2 drinks and it came up to over £80. Wouldn't go back again
Had an enjoyable evening at Bob's lobster but felt that it was overpriced. The lobster Mac n cheese was really great and I would have that again if I went but the £20 lobster and crayfish roll was particularly disappointing and a bit soggy. Not a patch on B&L lobster roll. The mussel fries were tasty but the high food prices alongside the house wine being £25 a bottle I just thought it didn't quite work for me. However, ambience really nice and staff also very nice.
Food ok but mostly lukewarm
And quite pricey for what it is
The food was really good, Scallop, prawns and lobster tails, the wine was great too. Some ironing on the service is needed but overall a lovely experience. really liked the restaurant decoration in the arches of London Bridge station. Will be back
Birthday - we were give complimentary glasses of sparkling wine which was very nice! Also very kind to our children.
Oyster happy hour was fantastic... but the rest of the menu was quite pricey for the portion size. Overall really tasty though but I'd definitely only go back for oyster happy hour.
Great seafood! The lobster and crayfish Mac and cheese is a must!
The food was seriously overrated. And prices were exorbitant and poor value.
Superb and classy. Delicious food and great service. A fave
Great food, decent service, good prices. The selection of dishes were good, catering for many tastes. The drinks list is varied and reasonably priced. Weakest dish we had was 'fries with eyes'. Didn't come with enough aioli and our request for more was forgotten. The window seat table by the VW camper is a little out of the way so service was a little haphazard. Overall. A great meal and I'd come back again. Had more dishes than OT allows a person to add...
BOB’s rocks. Great atmo, great food, great staff. London has a new must-visit on the foodie scene
Average food and very very slow service (and it wasn't even busy)
One of London best kept secret. In love with the food!!
We had a family dinner together and wanted to try out Bobs lobster which had been recommended by a blogger. We were not disappointed although it was difficult to enjoy the whole experience since it was so hot.
The cocktails were good, the starters as tapas were delicious as were out lobster rolls. The lime desert was perfect. The prices are reasonable although definitely not inbred bargain. side
The staff was kind and helpful. Will go back if in the area again. This time we drove from Kensington which almost took an hour.
Love it. Delicious
This is a Hidden restaurant under the train tracks just outside of London Bridge Station. The decor inside is quite basic with high exposed concrete ceiling and a large Bob's lobster van taking up 1/3 of the restaurant.
The menu was relatively limited although was clear about allergens which is good. The food is tapas style so best to order 3 to 4 dishes each. I was expecting to be able to order a whole Lobster but the nearest you could get was a Lobster tail only.
The service was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. They had good knowledge about the menu.
The food was well presented, especially the Lobster tail. The only main issue with the food was the amount of oil and butter everything was cooked in. Every dish from Lobster to scallops to even broccoli came coated in oil and I felt my arteries tighten. There is just no justification for this level of oil to be used on everything and it meant I left disappointed and feeling slightly sick.
Nice staff, funky venue ,nicely presented food in meagre portions.
Crab roll tasted of lettuce not crab. Mac n cheese bland.
Would not return
