Had an enjoyable evening at Bob's lobster but felt that it was overpriced. The lobster Mac n cheese was really great and I would have that again if I went but the £20 lobster and crayfish roll was particularly disappointing and a bit soggy. Not a patch on B&L lobster roll. The mussel fries were tasty but the high food prices alongside the house wine being £25 a bottle I just thought it didn't quite work for me. However, ambience really nice and staff also very nice.
Food ok but mostly lukewarm
And quite pricey for what it is
The food was really good, Scallop, prawns and lobster tails, the wine was great too. Some ironing on the service is needed but overall a lovely experience. really liked the restaurant decoration in the arches of London Bridge station. Will be back
Birthday - we were give complimentary glasses of sparkling wine which was very nice! Also very kind to our children.
Oyster happy hour was fantastic... but the rest of the menu was quite pricey for the portion size. Overall really tasty though but I'd definitely only go back for oyster happy hour.
Great seafood! The lobster and crayfish Mac and cheese is a must!
The food was seriously overrated. And prices were exorbitant and poor value.
Superb and classy. Delicious food and great service. A fave
Great food, decent service, good prices. The selection of dishes were good, catering for many tastes. The drinks list is varied and reasonably priced. Weakest dish we had was 'fries with eyes'. Didn't come with enough aioli and our request for more was forgotten. The window seat table by the VW camper is a little out of the way so service was a little haphazard. Overall. A great meal and I'd come back again. Had more dishes than OT allows a person to add...
BOB’s rocks. Great atmo, great food, great staff. London has a new must-visit on the foodie scene
Average food and very very slow service (and it wasn't even busy)
One of London best kept secret. In love with the food!!
We had a family dinner together and wanted to try out Bobs lobster which had been recommended by a blogger. We were not disappointed although it was difficult to enjoy the whole experience since it was so hot.
The cocktails were good, the starters as tapas were delicious as were out lobster rolls. The lime desert was perfect. The prices are reasonable although definitely not inbred bargain. side
The staff was kind and helpful. Will go back if in the area again. This time we drove from Kensington which almost took an hour.
Love it. Delicious
This is a Hidden restaurant under the train tracks just outside of London Bridge Station. The decor inside is quite basic with high exposed concrete ceiling and a large Bob's lobster van taking up 1/3 of the restaurant.
The menu was relatively limited although was clear about allergens which is good. The food is tapas style so best to order 3 to 4 dishes each. I was expecting to be able to order a whole Lobster but the nearest you could get was a Lobster tail only.
The service was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. They had good knowledge about the menu.
The food was well presented, especially the Lobster tail. The only main issue with the food was the amount of oil and butter everything was cooked in. Every dish from Lobster to scallops to even broccoli came coated in oil and I felt my arteries tighten. There is just no justification for this level of oil to be used on everything and it meant I left disappointed and feeling slightly sick.
Nice staff, funky venue ,nicely presented food in meagre portions.
Crab roll tasted of lettuce not crab. Mac n cheese bland.
Would not return
Love it. Absolutely fantastic. Shall revisit many times
Perfect for a 20th birthday - would do it again.
My daughter loved it
We love Bob’s - it’s casual but has an edge of fine dining, great wine & cocktails..... almost too cool for us 50 somethings 😊 the tortilla chips with guacamole are to die for 😋 I’ve had fried oysters, eggs Benedict, fish finger sandwich..... On different visits 😛 All delicious
Waiter suggested very good dishes which went well together.
Really disappointing main course selection and very over priced for tiny portions
We had a relatively pleasant dinner at Bob’s lobster. We went because of the recent FT review. The service was great. The food however did not meet our (maybe too high) expectations. The tuna tacos were very good but not as good as Barrafina starters or tuna tartare. The crab stack was good and so was the lobster bun. The Mac n cheese lobster was too heavy for us and we did not really enjoy it. The brownie for dessert was average. Overall relatively good food if you do not have great expectations. Service was really good though.
Would say it is not a worth at its price. Have been anticipating for the lobster tail but turns out this is the disappointing point where it can be described as flavourless and yep— just dont worth 22 pounds. Though the lobster bisque tasted quite good.
amazing food slightly let down by inconsistent and disorganised service-we had to chase for one dessert even after they had brought out the other; we were then charged double for that dessert! It was still worth it for the delicious lobster roll and tuna tacos; the seafood tower was also impressive both in looks and quality- the seafood was as fresh as could be.
Whilst all the staff were amazing, I felt service was slow and food really did not taste fresh, or that great. It's disappointing as the place could have great potential.
Great food but service leaves a lot to be desired.
First time going, was recommended by a family friend!
Ordered quite a variety, food came out looking superb!
However the lobster bisque was a little cold but other than that everything was great!
It’s not your ordinary lobster/seafood restaurant, definitely an added mix. Super creative, especially the fries with the added chowder.
Food was absolutely delicious! Would definitely go back again if I had the chance and recommend anyone to try it out!
I would have just eaten the tuna tacos until I died. Lobster and crayfish brioch was A-Mazing. Great restaurant.
Wonderful and lived up to everything in the Financial Times review of the restaurant. Have been recommending Bob's Lobster to everyone after our experience. The food was fresh and tasty.
Delicious seafood! Fresh and reasonable priced for a very good quantity of seafood. Not a cheap meal (prices are on their menu online), but very fair for the quality of seafood you end up getting. Will definitely go back again soon!
Amazing evening. The food was so good, highlights included the tuna tacos, crab stack and mushroom ceviche which were so fresh and summery. The cheeseburger was also one of the best I have had in London, perfectly cooked and with a really addictive steak sauce. Service was efficient and friendly and made some great recommendations. Wine list is surprisingly big. Will be back soon!!
Lovely place but incredibly overpriced. £20 for the Lobster and Shrimp burger which was a few pieces of lobster and shrimp in a very small brioche roll. Chips were delicious but again a small portion for £4. Probably won't be returning.
We experienced a very positive and "happy" service. The quality and the variety of the food though, was below expectations. I believe Thay have to reconsider the catalog and some of the plates
We were a table of 12 with a mix of dietary requirements (Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy Free, Gluten Free). The menu offered good options and the chef could also make modifications when necessary. No one felt like an after thought. The signature dishes went down a treat with the seafood lovers, Lobster Roll, Lobster Mac n Cheese and Tuna Tacos but I rather give a special mention to the other delightful surprises.
Oyster Mushroom Ceviche and cauliflower were very delicate side dishes bursting with flavours such as agave, ginger and lime salsa. Aubergine Parm - hearty vegetarian burger (requested dairy free bun)
Choc Brownie was perfectly gooey and the Bread and Butter pudding don't get me started. Wow. (I don't even like B&B pudding)
Excellent sharing menu, Wash down with a Bob Martini or Margarita. Well stocked bar and extensive wine list if needed. Good music playlist.
I love BOBs. I’ve loved them since they did festivals in food trailer now parked fetchingly under London Bridge Arches with a full bar and a bright, cozy diner feel. The lobster roll is LOVELY and the chowder fries will have you waxing lyrical. The salmon avocado starter is the best I’ve ever had and I only started trying it elsewhere after trying it at BOBs. The service is super friendly and warm and the booze is reasonably priced. I’d recommend them to anyone, anytime with the clink of a decent Dirty Martini.
Disappointing experience, had the Poboy and Lobster roll, for the price 4 prawns and a 3 inch roll wasn’t a ‘large’ plate. Taste was ok, but not exceptional, sorry but didn’t get the hype.
