Boisdale of Canary Wharf
We really enjoyed our Jazz Sunday lunch, last weekend. We’d invited friends to join us and they too thought it was great. We had a lovely waiter, full of character and charm. All the food was delicious, starters: smoked salmon, calamari and prawn cocktails. Delicious! Followed by Roast pork and beef with all the trimmings. The wine flowed very well and the restaurant was very busy giving it a great buzzy atmosphere. The Jazz band was good and our table had nice views of the stage! All in all, a lovely Sunday in miserable weather! 🤗
Our Party was very impressed with the lovely waiter who gave us 1st class attention it was a wonderful Sunday Lunch with the family just what was needed!
Went in for the 50% off the a la carte menu. No fuss, they just told us that the caviar and lobster weren't included in this offer. Large selection to choose from. Food, drinks and service were fantastic. Planning on going again next week!
Nice location, great music, good food
It's a fantastic venue for amazing food and music!
Very pleasant Sunday lunch. Food and service was very good. Music was enjoyable but overall it was a little to loud in the restaurant for our taste but it was very busy but this was to be expected. We would definitely go again to try the Christmas menu.
The food is always amazing for a Sunday roast. The service is efficient and friendly.
The jazz band playing in the background is a lovely touch.
Great service, we needed to eat quickly and they served great food with time to spare.
My first visit and I was not disappointed. The steak was superb; flavoursome and tender and just the right size for lunch. The service was courteous and thoughtful from all those we cam into contact with. It was a very quiet lunchtime service which meant the ambience was not as it could have been but that is beyond the restaurant’s control. I would definitely come again and maybe enjoy one of the evening events
Lovely atmosphere, good food and with the upgrade to wine and bubbles good value
Booked for 7pm that had 50% off of a La carte menu. Good choice on menu. Party of four. We opted for chilli crab to start. One went for scottish smoked salmon- generous portions. For mains two went for Kimchi burger which is Korean. One cod loin and one haggis. All very good. Waiter professional and friendly. Topped wine up on a regular occasions which is sadly lacking in most restaurants now. Lovely table in middle of restaurant with views of the outside water fountains which were all lit up. Nice ambience. Will definitely return.
Tables are billed £15 per person after 9.30 when the music/show starts. Think if your eating and drinking this could be waived or reduced. They would have added £60.00 to bill but we decided not to stay. Service charge of 12.5% added to bill.
They have offers of 2 courses with show from 39.50 Rat Pack Xmas show sounds good. Also have separate bar downstairs which we used for pre-dinner drink
Sunday lunch with live Jazz soothing the nerves, what could be better? The food is ever reliable and there is a good wine list and an amazing whisky list. Sitting next to the window one can enjoy a great view towards the city. Nothing not to like!
Nice ambiance, the jazz band was ok though not worth £15/head. The food was so-so, my mushroom tagliatelle was on the salty side. Service was somewhat slow.
A cold dark venue. Several massive tables then a handful of ignored couples. They are at least five waiters short. I sat for 20 mins before anyone even spoke to me.
I ordered the roast grouse which was so over cooked I had to borrow my partners steak knife to retrieve any meat though it was so tough it wasn’t worth the fight. We ordered pudding and the bill but gave up after 15 mins so paid but left hungry and cold. A real shame. The staff moaned they had too many bookings yet the place was strewn with empty tables.
Delicious food and fantastic value with the “50% off food” offer from Open Table.
Good service and great atmosphere. Food very good also, my friends would have given it 5*, even the vegetarian!...but I’m very picky...and I would have ordered the grouse only to be told it was finished...and the replacement steak was very good but not great
Excellent hospitality, lovely atmosphere and ambiance.
Food good, excellent service from our waiter, he went over and beyond to make it a really enjoyable experience.
The live band was too loud, however in fairness we did not go for the entertainment.
Very quiet. Lovely view of the cricket on the big screen.
I really like Boisdale of Canary Wharf since I was there for a concert last year. It is classy and refined and a lot quieter than many other restaurants.
Love dining here and it remains the ne of the best places to dine in London.
We dined here on a Wednesday night. They had live jazz and we were informed at cloakroom that we'd be charge an entry fee £12 (can't recall exact amount) if we stayed past 930PM. I was unaware of this rule when booking through OpenTable and felt awkward for my overseas guests. Our reservation was early 730PM so I was less concerned as usually there's a two hour turnaround on tables. Restaurant had a nice decor. We had a table by the window which had views of the square and fountain. Ambience could be better if there were more soundproofing from the thumping music of the bar downstairs. Restaurant is in Level 2, Bar and Grill in Level 1. Access is via a lift from inside the shopping centre, Cabot Place West entrance. Service was good, they didn't rush us and there was always someone there to ask like when they forgot to give us steak knives (it's a steak restaurant). Steak was tasty. We could taste the dry ageing of the meat. I ordered medium but it was closer to well done. It didn't takeaway from the flavour but I'd order medium rare if you want more pink in the meat. Steak was served with mash or chips - I opted for chips and they were good. Our guests had salmon and they said it was tasty. We didn't have a starter, dessert or wine. Just mains and coffee to finish. Including service charge bill came to about £42 per head (table of four people).
First try at this restaurant although I had heard very good things from friends. Our experience was very good the food was wonderful the service was very attentive and it was a great experience we didn’t stay for a show but we will do next time
Bros bday. Worked in cw for years and only went to Boisdale after I moved into the city! Saw Rebecca Ferguson. Was amazing. Great food. Service was good. But very expensive to be honest. Steak was great but it’s the sides and charge for entertainment that add up and cost a lot. Great cigar room too. They weren’t very helpful though I must admit.
I come here for lunch on Sunday: I love place! I challenge anyone to find me a better place in London for quality of food, ambience. And value: when I say “value”, it isn’t the cheapest place to go, but I’ve never been less than delighted every time I’ve been. Tip though, book early in the day, as they often run out of some dishes later in the day
The stuff on normal menu is reasonably priced. But we uitlised a promo for weekday lunch, the classic burger, only for 99p if you have it with a pint of beer or a glass of wine!! As we cannot drink alcohol we asked for mocktails with our food.
The restaurant was very nice and the staff and service was all very good. Unfortunately, with the food, the side dish of neeps was bland and the potato gratin was very dry.
Leaving lunch for a colleague, second floor restaurant area is grand but cosy with good quality food at reasonable price for Canary Wharf.
We had a wonderful evening - perfect table for 2 in a prime spot near the bar in the main restaurant with a great view of the stage. Our food was great and the wine list represents excellent value. We were treated to a live band and by the end of the set, loads of people including us were up dancing. It was awesome. The only blight was that another diner had been sick in the hallway at some point which meant a nasty surprise on the carpet that had to be dodged before going to the ladies...by the end of our night it had vanished, however, and this wouldn’t stop me going back. Thank you Boisdale for a great evening xxxx
Nice business meal - first time at any Boisdale restaurant and would recommend!
Yet another great evening-straight forward food, good wines and very good service.Always having a window table helps esp as the evenings are now lighter.
The service was cery bad and very slow. It took almost an hour until we received the food. The food was okish and very expensive in compare that the value. The only positive thing was the live music. All the rest, definitely need an improvement.
I have dietary requirements and checked they could cater for me 3 times once over email and twice on the phone. On the day they had no idea, I'm lactose and gluten free and get really sick if I eat it. I was told all they could offer me was a medley of vegetables, disappointed i reluctantly accepted this, when it arrived it was even more disappointing it was a bowl, half filled with carrots and the other half filled with cabbage. I complained, and when the manager came over he looked suitably horrified and tried to rectify the situation. He was great the food was not but i didn't want to upset the other people i was with as they were more than happy with their meals. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't have food allergies or intolerance. The venue, the manager and staff are great the communication between them terrible.
I had the haggis as a starter - superb! tasty and very fresh menu, absolutely adored the steak here
We often go to Boisdale in Canary Wharf and enjoy their Jazz Sunday lunch! The service, food and atmosphere always very good. The pork was beautifully cooked and melted in the mouth - every course was tasty and well cooked. Always a lovely occasion.
Lovely food and good service, in pleasant surroundings.
Excellent evening of entertainment
Very enjoyable lunch. Surprising pleasant restaurant.
