The menu sees recreations of some of the city’s most loved dishes alongside family recipes. Seasonal delights, inspired by Mumbai and the surrounding areas, include Misal Pav topped with potato salli, Kolhapuri spiced spit roasted chicken, Seabass and Scallop tawa Pulao along with Kerala style Ishtew with Idiyappam and a sweet Double Ka Meetha with tutti fruity masala milk and almonds.
Good food, but quite expensive. Very nice helpful staff
Always reliable and good to see that the menu is constantly evolving. A firm favourite!
Very good service and food great quality. Quite lively and noisy place at peak times, so if you want a quiet conversation this may not be the place for you. Prices reasonable given the location, lower than many in the immediate vicinity, but you can certainly find cheaper places in other parts of central London, not too far away. For us it was convenient located as we could walk there. Overall I would recommend Bombay Bustle and would visit again if in the area.
Fastest service ever! Fantastic food, great sharing portions. Loved the atmosphere as well.
Delicious food and a great atmosphere. I especially loved the adipoli prawns!
Food was fine but unfortunately not worth the price.
Cheap value food, sky high prices, and not much choice....old school decor...overall just a bad place to go....but if you like to spend those £ just to say you went there to eat, best of luck to you guys..
Delicious food in a vibrant atmosphere. Service was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to next visit.
A smart and noisy restaurant with bar area, with stylish and interesting menu of Indian food, but somehow nothing quite lived up to its billing. I’d recommend it to a friend for whom budget wasn’t an issue - it’s pricey, though typical for the neighbourhood - and who wanted somewhere convenient for Bond Street/Piccadilly/RegentStreet. Not for a date or special occasion. Pleasant service.
Excellent service , with valuable revommendations from the person serving us. Amazing food - music was a bit loud for our liking , but one that was more than compensated for with the overall experience.
This was our second visit and i am sure there will be many more !
Great food, ambience and service
Excellent Indian food in a dining room decorated like a historic train car. The duck dosas and lamb are both particularly good.
Very good service and pleasant dining experience just a little pricey. Definitely somewhere to go for a special ocaission.
The food as always was great but the experience unfortunately was not. We were told the kitchen was closing shortly and therefore would need to order ASAP and also that our food would just come out as it was cooked. When you’re dining at somewhere like Bombay Bustle you come for the experience not just the food as sadly that was lacking:
We took visiting Belgian friends who wanted to experience ‘quality, authentic’ Indian cooking whilst in London. This was our first visit to Bombay Bustle too, it was recommended by a friend. We thought the food was delightful and plentiful, well presented and original (as in departing from the run-of-the-mill offerings in most Indian restaurants we visited before). The somosas’ filling were duck based, one of biryanis was rabbit based; every dish was really very good. The service was friendly, if anything too attentive. We went on a rainy Thursday lunchtime, so the ambience was a bit ‘sparse’ but therefore quiet.
Food isn’t that great. Portions sizes are tiny. The vegetable served was cold
I am big fan of Bombay bustle but my experience on arrival was not great. Having advised prior that the booking was for my anniversary and that my wife was pregnant, I fully expected to be seated in the more comfortable couch style seats. That was not the case, which was ok but when we asked to be moved the handling of the situation was not great. The front of house did not show any understanding nor flexibility and we ended up sitting where they had assigned us. But, after speaking with the manager whom was extremely nice and accommodating, the quality of food really saved the evening for us. Plus a very generous discount at the end which was totally unexpected ensured the night ended on a high.
Had a reservation for 4 @6pm.. arrived at 6:10pm and was told we need to vacate the table at 8pm.. we laughed and said we would swallow our food. We were shown to our seating which consisted of 2 separate tables by the kitchen.. and the hostess said they would join them together. I said we would like to have a better seating arrangement and was told all the tables were reserved.. we stood around for 5 minutes with different hostesses trying to convince us to take the 2 tables. Finally we were given a semi decent table. Food came on time and our server was super gracious and attentive. The manager came over and asked if we were ok... I said no because when I make a reservation, I expect to have a table upon arrival prepared for 4 and not be told I need to vacate the table at a set time. I asked him if this is the way he runs his business and replied no. In the end I found the food very average and would not eat there again. Our bill came and we were comped for the desserts 15 pounds. I wanted to refuse but I also wanted to get out of there. Go anywhere else but here. RUN!!!
We read about BB online & our expectations were exceeded in person! The atmosphere, food & service were all fantastic & we look forward to coming back!
Really enjoyed the food here, everything had so much flavour! Service was also great with very attentive and polite staff who were able to give good recommendations. Everything was fantastic and we will definitely be back again!
Authentic Indian Bombay street food at another level.
Overall food was amazing. We ordered quite a few dishes but the paneer and mushroom tikka dish was outstanding.
Very impressed with the dabba dal.
We wanted to have the jalebi cheesecake but ended up trying the kulfi trio which was pleasant.
Will have to come back for the desserts and some cocktails.
Outstanding food and service: highly recommend the tasting menu which is paired with some excellent wines. Great value all round.
Service was very good, food left us disappointed due to it lacking in flavour for the vegetable Istew.
Excellent restaurant. Very impressed with the professional manner of all the staff. Attention to finer details was excellent. Greeted by somebody taking our coats. On taking us to our table the reason for the impressive decor was explained to us. Definitely recommend this place.
Incredible food, authentically Indian and spice levels were extremely on point. 100% would recommend.
Everything was great, lovely food and service. If i had to be picky I wouldnt order the mango lassi again but will definitely return
Poor. Won’t be going back. Benares is far superior.
Excellent food and desserts!Order the pudding with the ice cream-amazing!Special mention to Tassos and Michalis. Both very kind, eager to help with the menu and super efficient! They definitely made our dinner there very special!Thank you guys!
Lovely, the waiter was a bit over keen and so kept asking every 5 minutes if we were okay, it got annoying. Food really nice but quite pricey. Had a very good meal overall.
Incredible Indian cuisine , the lamb chops were so tender, a must try! we had a lovely evening with two good friends , the only criticism was the background music was a bit in the foreground and one of our fiends who is deaf in one ear struggled to hear our conversation. Overall a must.
One of the best Indian meals we've had in a while (and we were in India last year!). Very fresh, flavourful and well spiced food. The express menu is also excellent (great food and value!)
Great restaurant with beautiful decor and wonderful service
I met up with 4 friends for a great lunch at Bombay Bustle. We selected a wide range of items from the a la carte menu, including several vegetarian options, all of which were excellent. The wine list is good, with Mayfair prices. Service was friendly and attentive
Loved Bombay Bustle, great atmosphere, service and food. We went a la carts as mains on tasting menu not massively inspiring.
Had 4 small plates of guinea fowl, squid, keema pau and duck tikka. Guinea fowl needed more seasoning, keema pau was delicious as was duck tikka, jury out a bit on the squid. Mains we had tawa crab, keralan fish curry, Malabar lamb and Dabba daal. Tawa crab had a lot of masala and I was expecting it to be dry as cooked on a tawa but lovely flavour. Fish and lamb delicious and daal is basic anyway. Had veg biriyani and tandoori roti. Falooda for dessert which was very tasty but too full to finish it.
Great cocktails and wine list
Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back.
Absolutely fantastic food, service and ambience. SO much choice for vegetarians. Can't wait to return!
Once again had great food and wine too. Although it was unexpectedly quiet
Great selection of food from north to South Indian cuisine. Innovative ideas in deserts. Would highly recommend.
food was amazing .service was quick. 10/10 recommended
