Nicely decorated, good options for vegetarians & really good service.
The masala tea is very good.
Cramped and extremely noisy. Food average and wood not recommend .
They took our coats and bags. They explained the menu and recommended to try somethings special. We ordered Nihari which was one of the best in London.
Staff is really amazing. Especially, Mr. Hugo who took care of everything ever since we entered. Creative telephone assistant promptly called to confirm any special requirements for wife’s birthday and fabulously exceeded my expectations.
Coming to food, chaat is authentic, must try Bombay Cutting Chai (Being a Mumbaiite I understand the emotions behind a proper cutting).
The Misal Pav is slightly offbeat (Isn’t as watery as I’ve always had) however, is still a tasty treat. Ragda had an unmatched taste compared to anywhere else in the UK. Loved the Biryani and desserts too.
Verry attentive staff and great food. Loved the look of the restaurant!
We loved the food-everything was delicious. The grilled prawns are worth a visit alone. The only problem was the noise level-bad luck for us, the three people behind us yelled and shouted continuously for two hours. For sure we will go back next time we are in London for the food and service, but with fingers crossed for more considerate fellow diners.
Had a booking for Bank Holiday Monday. Travelled from South East London all the way to Mayfair for this place, only to turn up and find the restaurant closed.
Absolute shambles with no explanation as yet as to what happened as yet.
Would have given this a zero rating if the website would have allowed me.
Excellent upscale Indian food. Very good vegetarian choices. Wondeful, subtle use of spices. Pleasant atmosphere, but in my view poiled by the extremely noisy environment. I understand the idea of creating the impression of bustle - after all, it's part of the deal - but driving it by pumping up the volume of the music so that customer must shout seems a bit artificial.
Food was great but service was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Great service, good food and good quantity.
Service was impeccable and food was delicious
After reading so many reviews this was a very disappointing lunch .
The restaurant is fairly nice, the staff and service were good but the food was a complete let down.
The flavours and quality were poor. We had the Amritsar fish, prawns and ragra for starters. Followed by mains of chicken curry, methi aloo and chick peas and puri.
Apart from the prawn starter and the methi aloo the rest of the dishes were disappointing.
Give me a day in the kitchen with your chefs and then see what a difference it would make.
You have the location but the class is missing.
Fabulous food and service
Great location service and ambience, however the food fell short give the price paid.
Love this place! This is the best Indian I have had in London ...it's absolutely delicious. And the cocktails are amazing! The restaurant itself is very cool and the staff is super friendly. We had a great time! And did I mention the cocktails!!!
Awesome! Great restaurant....... brilliant decor........ just as if your on a train
Very good, authentic menu in a great setting accompanied by nice service
Overall good standard of food and drinks, though deserts were underwhelming. Service was prompt, but totally not subtle when closing, as they switched on all the lights at 11:50. Would expect this sort of treatment at Nando’s, not at a £70-£100 per head Mayfair restaurant
Second time here...awesome birthday meal for my 27th with family. From the moment we walked in the service was excellent and our waiter was attentive, friendly and always on hand.
Excellent, tasty food with a great ambience in the restaurant.
Some favourites from our meal:
Cocktail : 100 Tamba (amazing gin cocktail - must try!)
Red Wine: Estate Malbec (Argentina, 2016)
Food: Malabar Chicken Wings, Chole Bhaturey, Kulfi Trio !
Great touch with a small birthday dessert from the restaurant. Go pay a visit - you won’t regret it. Prices are fair for the heart of Mayfair - we were stuffed at the end! Compliments to the team.
Best Indian food in town
Had a hugely enjoyable meal. The apple and cinnamon lassi is to die for. The lamb was delicious, the rice fluffy and the falooda devine.
Recommended to us, however a real let down. Food arriving at different times (mains) friends had finished when the other dishes arrived. A lamb stew... 3-4 morsels of meat, that was it. They did take it if the bill however . Most organised person was the barman
Second time visiting here in a month, definitely becoming a favourite and have recommended to all my friends!
Good food overall but prawn dish a little underdone and excess gravy
A very good find. We went for dinner with some overseas friends who wanted a good Indian meal, as they struggle to find them in Germany. We found it a little noisy, but it was fun and buzzing. The food was almost faultless, although the lamb biryani lacked the subtlety that it should and was a little too spicy throughout. A great biryani remains elusive in London. Otherwise it hit all the right notes, the prices were decent for the area and I would go back again in a heartbeat.
The food was excellent, great service, and fun atmosphere. Loved the gin and tonics. Will definitely go back.
Booking a restaurant off oxford street we expected high prices and high quality. The entrance is a wow factor, the atmosphere was great and fantastic service. However, portion size and quality were extremely lacking, very small portions (four prawns in a prawn tandoori) and over use of the salt, and in our minds, not worth the price tag. It was a shame we left feeling a little empty and will not be returning in the immediate future.
Pleasant ambience, interesting menu selection and delicious food and drinks ! The service was outstanding and will certainly look forward to being back !
Food and service are great. But the acoustics are so bad,we were 2 and we had to shout to hear each other. I saw that in other reviews and couldn’t believe how bad it was until I actually experienced it. Too bad,it can ruin the experience.
We had dinner on Friday night and the whole experience was amazing. The food and the service were beyond belief. The best Indian food we have ever eaten.
Reveals new insights into Indian cuisine. A short menu which is a good sign of fresh cooking. Service very good. Thanks to Alex! Wine list a bit overpriced.
Ambience was nice but being brutally honest, the food wasn’t anything to rave about so I wouldn’t go back. It was a nice enough meal but just not memorable
Food was tasty (especially Nalli Nihari and Rara Keema Pao)
Service was average
Great Food and Great service. Just a bit too loud.
Good place a bit pricey but tasty food
evenings vvv noisy as v busy so having a conversation on the table very difficult
Better to go for lunch time a its a bit quieter
Best Indian food in London
The whole experience was one of total satisfaction. From the hostess greeting us along with the excellent food and the service, especially of your waiter Shiraj made the evening enjoyable. I am sure to return and trust the food will be as good. Keep it up.
Very overpriced food, tiny tiny portions at top prices not worth it
I'm not sure Bombay Bustle lived up to the hype. The food was good, but not amazing, and way over priced for what it was. The restaurant does look very nice, but we were sat in the basement and it was very noisy. Nice to say you've been, but wouldn't be a regular visitor.
