Loved the theme of the restaurant and the food was incredible! 👌
The service was great and the food was spicy and delicious. A lot of different varieties. They also have awesome cocktails
We had booked a table for 5 people 2 weeks before the date we went. We were given a table for 4 with 3 people squashed on 1 side. We asked to be moved to tables on the other side but they said the tables were going to be full. Those tables were never occupied. The service was absolutely appalling! It took 15 mins for them to take our order. We had to tell them that no drinks order had been taken. They eventually took the drinks order and they arrived with the starters. The main courses arrived and the waiter put a dish down telling us it was the lamb. There was no lamb in it. The waiter then told us to look in the dish under the sauce. We all said in a chorus that there was no lamb in the dish. He then asked us did we want lamb. No waiter returned to ask us if everything was ok. Once we had finished eating we were given menus for desserts. Not 1 waiter came back to us and asked us what we wanted. We waited over 20 mins trying to get their attention. 2 waiters were chatting and laughing behind a counter, looked at us and then ignored us. My son went up to them and asked for the bill. We then had to wait a further 15 mins for that! We then had to ask them to come over so we could pay. We did make a joke by saying if we just got up and left would anybody actually notice. When we were paying the waiter asked us was everything ok. When my husband said no he replied with thank you very much! We asked to speak to the manager. We were told he was busy upstairs. I saw Asad the manager when we left. I told him of our appalling service and experience. He didn't seem that bothered although he did ask for my email address. I gave it to him. I am still waiting for a reply, clearly he is not sincere or appreciative of BB customers. This whole experience was awful. Not what to expect from a Mayfair restaurant! BB are way way out of their depth when it comes to service. Personally I will never go back to BB and I will tell everybody about how awful and how badly we were treated !
We were looking for Indian food, was good and did the job - would go again if convenient but wouldn’t put it on a must-do list
We loved Bombay Bustle, the layout of the restaurant the quality of the service but the star was the food. I cannot find enough words to describe the dining experience. I have enjoyed other Indian restaurants of note in London but this by far is the best food.
Wonderful experience, with exceptional customer service. We were made to feel very special by all the staff from the moment we arrived, to the moment we left. The food was excellent, so aromatic and flavoursome.
Given a bad table downstairs as booked on open table, but food was excellent.
Great staff, restaurant, food and very reasonably priced.
We love bombay bustle and love to celebrate our special occasions there..love the food..ambience :)
Have been a few times, however our last visit was disappointing! Tables far too close together, could join in easily with others conversations. Rushed through wine and meal, pity, as it definitely takes from the place.
Food was excellent. But the signature dish they had no longer on the menu. Service not good unprofessional.
First experience was excellent but now not so good.
Good food however quantity leaves a lot to be desired.
The food was amazing, very delicious. Perfectly cooked and tasted incredible.
Tasty dishes with varied flavours to meet all requirements and tastes, friendly and accommodating service, nice touch for Birthdays. Look forward to visiting again soon.
Decor is great. Food is delicious. Music isn’t too loud, so you can easily have a conversation.
Loved the place...worth it
Would highly recommend Bombay Baby. I have a nut allergy and the waiter was very attentive to this. I was very impressed by the service, possibly one of the best I have experienced for the restaurant I have been to. The food was also excellent and had an authentic taste to it.
Busy and noisy. Food was OK but not worth the hefty price tag. Good service, shame the terrible ambiance.
After the amazing experience at Jamavar I was very much looking forward to Bombay Bustle. And I was not disappointed- the dishes were exemplary with authentic flavours, particularly the Lamb Biryani. The service was outstanding with a friendly attentive staff. Dessert was the only course which did not match up to the standards of rest of the menu but I like authentic Indian dessert and that could be my personal choice. Would definitely visit again.
FOOD WAS DELICIOUS & THE STAFF MADE US FEEL VERY WELCOME & WERE ATTENTIVE. SLIGHTLY OVERPRICED, BUT LEFT FEELING VERY FULL & HAPPY
This was our first time at Bombay Bustle.
The whole experience was wonderful.
We both had the Vegetarian 6-course menu, which included champagne. Every course was delicious, full of flavour, and not in tiny quantities.
The service was exceptional. Many thanks to our waiter, Remy, who looked after us superbly.
Can’t recommend this high quality Indian restaurant enough.
A fun Saturday night out with friends. We had a late sitting at 9.15pm . Service was great food was very nice, quite pricey for the portions but tasty. A lot of veg options which suited my party.
From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome by the front of house staff. Our waiter couldn't have been more helpful and was making sure we didn't over order, but giving us good advice about the portions. When the food arrived it was so tasty especially the small plates which in themselves were very filling. The mains were also excellent.
Food is absolutely average, nothing special. Too pricey.
The food was very spicy. They asked to move tables after we were seated to accommodate more ppl.
A very enjoyable evening. Authentic food. Excellent menu choice.
The restaurant is small and cosy with tables set too near each other. The food is OK but a tad too expensive. I guess it is OK as taster menu. The most annoying thing was the waiters hovering at the table. Once the food was ordered, it was served at lightning speed. Rush, Rush, Rush. Spoilt whatever little fun we were having.
Greeting on arrival was good as was ambience. Food was disappointing. We ordered chole bhaturey and vegetable istew appam. The spices had not been cooked out of the chole sufficiently to make it taste nice. However it did have some flavour unlike the istew which was lumps of potato and very few other vegetables in an insipid white sauce.
As chefs and knowing Indian food well, we were surprised that the kitchen would have felt comfortable presenting this level of food for service.
Overall really good place but definitely prefer the "downstairs dining". What can be improved is the upstairs dining to be not smelling too strongly of Indian spices/food. The downstairs dining is perfect example.
Food was nothing special for the price. The trio of dosas was authentic tasting but had no sambhar so wasn’t a complete dish. The cocktails were also very small for the price. And overall it was very loud which meant the waiter had to repeat everything twice before he could hear us and we could hear him.
Better Indian restaurants in London with value for money.
Excellent all round - well done food and very nice
Finally went to Bombay Bustle with my family over the weekend and loved every minute. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and there was a good buzz in the air. Would definitely recommend!
The food was exquisite the flavours amazing. Service was friendly and professional.
The truffled eggs was the best dish. Yumm
Excellent food and very good service
Loved this new restaurant, excellent service and the food was delicious.
We are looking forward to our next visit already.
Compact and Lively place. Enthusiastic service. Food innovative and high quality.
Great modern indian, good prices and tasty, I will be back!
Was lucky enuff to be looked after by the main man Mr SHIRAZ who made the whole evening perfect , top quality food ( especially the ALOO MATER ) , lovely atmosphere , highly recommend this place to everyone probably one the best indian's I've bin to in central
Great authentic food full of flavours. We could not stop saying how amazing the food was. I have already recommended Bombay Bustle to my friends and would come there again. Keep delivering on authenticity and flavours!
Just had a wonderful lunch. If you love quality Indian food then you must give this a try.
