The menu sees recreations of some of the city’s most loved dishes alongside family recipes. Seasonal delights, inspired by Mumbai and the surrounding areas, include Misal Pav topped with potato salli, Kolhapuri spiced spit roasted chicken, Seabass and Scallop tawa Pulao along with Kerala style Ishtew with Idiyappam and a sweet Double Ka Meetha with tutti fruity masala milk and almonds.
Generally positive experience. Service was somewhat awkward (I had a hard time with my waiters accent) and a little pushy, but food and ambience were delightful.
An outstanding experience - the Express Menu was top notch, the staff were everywhere and yet unobtrsusive. Can't wait to go back,
Excellent food at a reasonable price. Sadly, however, the blaring "ultra" type "techno" music (particularly the unending bass beat drowning out any suggestion of actual music) makes what could be a pleasant dining experience into nothing less than torture.
That said, there is also the issue of a relatively young wait staff whose hearing will surely suffer over time.
Perhaps for some who are considering enjoying the food, "take away" would be an option (just keep your fingers in your ears if you need to wait for your package).
Great food, cocktails and wine. Service a little slow on this occasion.
My fav Indian
Dinner with relative from NZ
I thought the service was excellent, staff were attentive and friendly. Drinks were brilliant! I must say it is a little overpriced but definitely worth a visit. Special birthday cake came out too which was a pleasant surprise!
I had an extremely disappointed experience at Bombay Bustle. The service standards had really dropped since my last visit - we struggled to get waiters to bring us a drinks menu, to get additional drinks and even to pay - our waiter walked off halfway through us paying with 50% of the bill outstanding - we had to insist we hadn't finished paying and spent a while waiting for someone to come back. The manager seemed distracted and disinterested (I understand it was not the usual manager) but he did not seem to want to help or take interest in our table which was a shame.
My biggest concern was that both my friend and I returned to our separate houses that evening and both experienced severe stomach cramps and were both very ill that night and the following day. We reported to the restaurant who insisted it couldnt' be their fault and were very unhelpful/unsympathetic. I have insisted the incident is investigated further as I do not want other guests to have similar problems.
Unsurprisingly, I will not be returning again!
Great restaurant. A little too dark in the restaurant but food, service & quality all 100%.
They charge £8 for some kind of dip sauce. Don’t be fooled by the small dish price. There are a lot of surcharges that you never heard of. Maybe it’s just happened for some visitors like us
Food was not fresh
I love Bombay Bustle. It never disappoints. In my view, it’s the best Indian restaurant in London
Buzzy evening place, perfect for an evening out, a lively business supper or friends. Service was attentive and friendly, food was delicious and the whole ambience made it a great experience.
Excellent food, great service. Subtle spicy flavors. Very kind and attentive staff.
Really enjoyed our meal at Bombay Bustle, attentive and friendly service and delicious mains. The only bad comment would be that the starter (we shared the dosas) were a bit bland and we asked for our mains to be spicy and they weren’t spicy enough. Would recommend on the whole though.
One of the most Indianan restaurants in london
amazing food and great service. my only constructive feedback would have to be the music, there is no need for deep house or hectic music during lunch time if anything it is the only thing that puts me off from visiting.
Had a lovely meal and some great drinks!
Not great. Food quality was not good. Waiter rushed and made strong recommendations that we did not favor.
A great evening and fantastic service from Mohammed. The only issue was at the beginning of evening when we were placed right next to the big TV screen on the lower ground floor, having been assured that the cricket would stop at 6pm. Thankfully we were moved to the ground floor which didn't have a TV!
Our waiter was excellent- he did us a happy anniversary dessert on the house and was generally wonderful. I found it troubling to discover that this restaurant does not pass on the service charge to staff- which sadly does make me much less inclined to visit here again.
We have been there about half a dozen times. This was the most disappointing visit as the drinks were pretty bad. The food was very much as before and standard but the drinks we ordered (We ordered 2 mimosas and 1 cocktail) were a big let down. Would really appreciate some feedback on this from the restaurant.
Food was fantastic - well done to staff for great service too...definitely will go back soon
Came back for a second Sunday in a row and Bombay Bustle did not disappoint! A wonderful dining experience with fantastic food and amazing service.
One of the many return visits to this centrally located venue with good food, excellent customer service, nice cocktails and a charming concept. Restaurant can get noisy based on where you are seated especially at busy times. The small bar means you may have to decamp to one of the many local venues for a pre- \ post- drink. Bit on the pricier side and would appreciate team being a bit more subtle about 2 hour table turnaround (appreciate required if diners waiting), especially if table being vacated before the end of 2 hr slot. Food and service are great.
Really great, enjoyed the food. Absolutely tasty and wonderful sevrice!
It is always a bit of a treat to join you - enjoy the relaxed atmosphere
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and good decor. The staff were attentive. The food was good in terms of portions. Quality was not too bad, some dishes came out rather quickly making me question the fresh-ness
Lovely as always
I love Bombay Bustle and go every week. My Indian friends all say it is the most authentic place they've been to in London!
Fab food! Dahl was tops.
Our first time to the restaurant. Could not fault our evening. Super food, helpful, cheerful staff and great ambience. Will definitely return. Thank you Bombay Bustle!
Food was excellent and great service. Helpful waiters gave good advice on what to eat and drink
We ordered a number of dishes, the starter was excellent, vegetable stew was not good at all, I think smaller Resturant’s serve them much better and the tandoori chicken was extremely spicy with very little salt. Despite booking a table we had to wait at the bar for 20 mins.
Bombay bustle is a great India restaurant in Mayfair. Being vegetarian the paneers main course, chai, daal, and the dosa were outstanding. The paneer mushroom tikka wasn’t great though. The kulfi at the end was the perfect way to wrap up the dinner. You’ll end up paying upwards of £40 per person without alcohol but mostly worth it! Will be back for the paneer 😍
Polite staff great ambience authentic tasting food and some classic cocktails to go by. Overall excellent !
I walked in at 7.50pm and a tall guy receptionist told me that he could only sit me at a communal table for 3 pax. At that time there were quite a few empty tables. Asked if he could give us any table but he said none were available. I asked him about opentable and said that there were still slots on it a few minutes ago. I checked the whole day and know that it is not fully booked yet. He still insisted none were available. Maybe he was just doing his job but I wasn’t happy. So I went out, went to open table and made a booking for 3 at 8.30pm. I asked my friends to walk in at 8pm, and the very kind lady checked what she could do for us. And manage to get my friends a table downstairs. Just felt disappointed that he could have given us the table and remove the slot on opentable. Overall food was ok but expensive. Rather go to dishoom if you are craving for Indian food. Service was good at the table. But maybe I am bias due to poor experience at the receptionist.
The service was a little slow, and the staff seemed overwhelmed with the large amounts of people coming in during peak hour.
In addition, the restaurant itself was quite noisy, however the food was really good.
One of the best Indian food I’ve had in London. We were a big group of friends celebrating one of our friends’ birthday. So we ordered most of the dishes on the menu and not a single one disappointed us.
I ate two extra tandoori rotis because the daal makhni was so delicious.
The desert was amazing as well. (It could’ve been better)
Overall, the service and the food is heavenly!
