Overall the food is very good. Dungeness crab, gnocchi, and steak tartare were all hits. Service is was a bit slow/uneven. The back dining room isn’t as beautiful as the front or the outside so being seated in the back was a bit underwhelming.

I loved the delicious food especially the octopus and warm bread!! Service was friendly and fast and the ambiance was amazing. The chocolate soufflé was worth the wait, nice and crusty on top and soft and delicious inside. Can’t wait to return!!!

The food was outstanding. Highly recommend the octopus and the scallops. The lamb rib eye was perfectly cooked and the butterball potatoes were delicious.

We had the scallops and the vegetarian dish. Puff butter potatoes and grilled peppers on the side. Order the chocolate mousse when you order dinner, as it takes 20 minutes and is out of this world!

We had an 815 reservation, arrived at 810, and we were seated at 845. Initially at 830 they tried to seat us by the worst table by the kitchen. Then we asked for a better table and were made to wait while other people kept being seated at other tables. We went up to the hostess 3 times before we were finally seated and there wasn’t any explanation for their rudeness. Our waiters were great.

The food was outstanding and novel. We experienced flavor combinations we had never had or even considered before that were superb. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We cannot wait to return!

Food and service was very nice for LA; ambiance and especially seating table was something did not enjoy much as we had to sit outside in the alley on a cold night; restaurant should have proper dining tables inside. Made the dinner a bit too casual for the price. and uncomfortable. Food was excellent and people very friendly, made us happy to dine there.

Everything we had was quite good. The dinner service pacing was uneven, and some of the nearby tables complained, but it was consistent with a new restaurant. Our waiter checked on us, the food, and apologized, and that’s all that we could really ask for. Please keep in mind that there’s a potential wait of 20 minutes for the chocolate soufflé. The uni tart was quite good, pretty small for the price, but it’s the kind of thing that you wouldn’t notice if it was baked into a tasting menu. Portions trend on the small side if you’re a big eater, but everything was extremely well prepared.

"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."

There were four in our group. We had blue shrimp and uni appitizers that were terrific. We also had the prime strip that was perfectly prepared with mushrooms. A 5 star course. We also ordered a side of carrots. It was excellent and a real gourmet vegetable. We concluded with desserts of chocolate souffle that was one of the best I have ever had with high quality chocolate and a passionfruit posser that was also terrific. We thought the entire meal was gourmet with innovative preparation and display. The serving sizes were enough to send us home full and very satisfied. Our service was attentive without being overbearing. Our evening was a solid 5 star, creative and gourmet experience. We will be again soon.

Everything was exceptional, the steak, the salmon, oysters, dessert, drinks... Even though the entrees sound run of the mill, each one had special touches that elevated the meal to one of the best I've had in LA. Very pricey, though. 2 cocktails. 2 glasses of wine, oysters and 2 deserts came to about $260 with tip. I'd say definitely worth it, but for most of us it's for special occasions only.

I wanted to love Bon Temps, and don't get me wrong, there are A LOT of things great about this place, I just wasn't over the moon about it. The section we were sat in was upstairs and lacks the ambiance of the patio or main floor. Even the host asked, as they sat us, is this okay? I'm not sure if that was out of courtesy or maybe they get it isn't the most ideal seating. The food is quite well done. Steak Tartare was excellent served with fried beef tendons. I had the Steak and short rib it was cooked to perfect temp and very nice dish, and my friend the lamb. He enjoyed that dish as well. The potatoes have a slightly aggressive amount of lemon. The Staff were willing to please and walked us through the wine list with smiles. It is a solid restaurant, I think just for the price point I'd want to feel a bit more ambiance then the section we ended up in. So be sure to ask for the patio or bar area and I think you will have a wonderful evening. The Patio would be great for a date or special occasion.

Excellent and very delicate food. Will definitely return but a bit pricey so not an everyday dining sort of place. Portions are small but exquisitely prepared.

The food, especially the canapes, at Bon Temps was very good and well prepared. The only warning I would give is that the portions for the "Mains" are very small. The lamb rib eye consisted of 4 medallions each slightly larger than a quarter, and the prime rib consisted of 3 medallions just bigger than the lamb medallions. For $45 each, I expected more than 3 or 4 small medallions.

Thank you for your honest feedback, we are thrilled that you felt the quality of your experience was on point, but it looks that we missed the mark in communication. We have made a conscious decision to emphasize sustainability and quality in all of our food products (The Strip/Short Rib steak entree we source is Prime Creekstone Ranch-the lamb is of a similar quality) which absolutely adds expense, but understand that if this information doesn't come across to our guests it may be a moot point.

Service was average. Serving size is comically small and prices are high for what you get. Having reservations are worthless bc we still had to wait 30 min to get a table. Then they put us way in the back. The only standout part of the meal was the dessert.

I have been searching for a place like this since i moved form nyc. You will not find better food or cocktail in LA. BEAUTIFUL, Fine dining that is approachable, not stuffy or too pricey - our bill was probably half of what we would normally pay for this level of experience. Good Times!

I had read previous reviews indicating the food was heavily salted, which typically doesn’t bother me, but it was. The good was okay. Best part was the cocktails.

Overall service was excellent but the food portions are QUITE small and frankly not worth the money. We were seated outside and everyone in my party had mosquito bites. Would be great if they could set up citronella candles to help or seat everyone inside.

A spectacular birthday dinner! Jee our server was funny, friendly and gave great recommendations. Nice job with the sommelier on wine and cocktail choices. Perfect libations to go with our meal. The complimentary bread with lemon and leeks was sooo yummy as we were waiting for our appetizers. This is the time to splurge if you're watching your carbs. Don't miss this but indulge. Outstanding from our starters of the grilled octopus, Strawberry & Crescenza salad and dungeness crab, to our main entrees of scallops and lamb, sides of potatoes, carrots and beans to the decadent St. Honore dessert. Do not miss ordering dessert. Save room!!

They were 17-minutes late for my reservation.

The food was plated well, highly ambitious is curation, however, missed the mark for overall composition and flavor.

The Le Smoke cocktail was average as the passion fruit and Yuzu was non-existent. Very similar to any other mezcal cocktail.

Risotto was the star dish. I’d like to try the JIDORI chicken.
