Great tapas and god drink list
Our Colombian waiter was amazing. It’s a very authentic place.
Attentive waiter and well made happy hour drinks.
Very good traditional style tapas. Some of the portions were a lot smaller than other places, but quality was great.
Lively atmosphere in central location for getting together with friends or family. Our table shared tapas of gambas, pulpo, and clams, which were all very good. We followed it up with a large seafood paella, and washed it all down with jugs of sangria. Then, an exclamation point on an enjoyable evening with two orders of churros, one with nutella filling and the other with dulche de leche. Recommended for a fun evening with good food and friendly service.
Nice atmosphere with great service. Food and sangria was tasty. I’ll be back!
I went to Boqueria for a business lunch with former colleagues. I work nearby and have been several times before. While it’s always good, the food and service were exceptional this time.
Service was amazing and food was even better!! cant wait to go back !!
amazing brunch tapas, unlimited delicious beverages. will be back for sure!
Very good and lots of options for bottomless brunch. You are not able to get normal coffee in the deal which was annoying. You could only get the alcoholic coffee drink. The french toast was amazing as well as the potatoes
Bottomless brunch was great. We left beyond stuffed. The drinks were all good and the service was great. The food was good. Not amazing but not bad. Some dishes were much better than others. I wish I had room for more French toast and steak and eggs. They were our favorites.
Went for the Saturday brunch. Food and service was great, champagne was flowing freely and it was a generous day weather wise. Will definitely be going back.
Great selection for lunch and very nice waiter. Service a bit slow but we weren’t in a rush.
Great food, excellent service by people who know the cuisine. Could be a bit noisy if full.
Our server was adorable and attentive. It was also very quick service - we did bottomless brunch and they sent the food by courses and if we wanted more of something they would just bring another one.
We enjoyed the Chef's menu for the two of us. A lot of very good and different food choices than we would ordinarily have chosen on our own. We were growning at the end and praying for no more food. Desserts were excellent. The sangria was find with our plates.
Our waiter was not attentive and was not the best. It took us forever to get our food and then when we asked him for the check, he walked right past us. The food was excellent but the service was terrible.
Boqueria was great Catalan style spanish food. The plates were elegantly presented and the flavor matched. I was visiting DC for a short period of time and decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised!
I did the Classics from the Chef's menu. It was a great choice and the tapas ranged in all different directions from a cheese plate, to vegetarian, to duck and others meats, including the ribs.
The grilled octopus was delicious and I will try the restaurant in NYC soon!
Of the tapas places we have in the DMV, this first experience w/ Boqueria was just OK. The "bottomless brunch" isn't exactly bottomless b/c there is a fixed menu of about 8-10 choices, which hopefully doesn't represent the best from the overall menu. They will give you as much as you want from the fixed menu, but be wary of the sangria's. They are a big dissapointment.

Overall, nice menu and cool ambience.
Expensive for what it was
very good food. Might need more variety in their tapas. Waiters are nice but the check in system is not friendly. The restaurant was almost completely empty and they would not let us in until they fixed their slow system to make sure we had a reservation (which we did). I don't like hostile receptionists and this place is full of them
If you have to go to this place, get the French toast. That’s it. Never going back.

The server was great and the food was amazing. One of the best brunches in DC.
We choose the chefs special at $50. Per person. The selection was outstanding and our waiter wonderful. We had seafood, an onion-potato omelet, chicken, eggplant and chorizo
Dessert was creme brulee Spanish style, churro and chocolate and flan. We paired it with sangria. Lovely
Excellent food and great service!!
First time at this restaurant. The food was absolutely outstanding. A friend and I had the tasting menu and it was wonderful. Left very full and satisfied. Would definitely go back!
True tapas at its best. I felt like I was anywhere but in Washington, DC. The dishes were imaginative and incredibly favorable. The roasted chicken was the most tender and delicious ever. We are still talking about the octopus, the shishito peppers, escalivada (Fire roasted eggplant, red pepper, onion, labneh yogurt, fresh herbs and olive oil, served with flatbread,) - just to name a few! The dishes kept coming and we kept on enjoying!
2nd time I have been here and will continue coming back!
Food was amazing but our server was so bad that it actually detracted from the meal. I work in the service industry and give servers who may be having a bad day a lot of leeway but when you’re spending ~$50pp you shouldn’t have to deal with a rude and inattentive server.
It is a shame too because the food was incredible but we all left feeling kinda disappointed because of our server. I’d probably give it another shot though because of the quality of the food.
Thanks to the kitchen staff for putting together such a great meal!
Only negative was not enough air conditioning on a hot day
Boqueria is not pure to the Madrileña tapas experience but blends a few Latin American cuisines. The flavors are definitely there though just need to manage expectations if you are used to the Madrid tapa scene.
The food was amazing as usual but our waiter acted as if we ordered too much food and was extremely rude about it. I threw in an order of the potatoes at the last second and he said “I’ll bring it to you if you’re still hungry.” I was SO embarrassed but told him to bring it as I ordered and that I could always take leftovers him (which I did). He didn’t even ask if we wanted desert - making assumptions all on his own. So incredibly rude.
Great gambas tapa!
Not as good as I expected; some og the tapas were fine, but some others were very disappointing.
Great food and service again! I love the place and wish I could go more often.
Everything about this place is wonderful. I loved it all from the atmosphere to the food. Although I didn't mind it, my family did mention that the wait time for our food was a little long. Without us asking, the manager ended up bring us a free tapa because of the wait. I thought that was a very sweet gesture. Other than that, I am excited to go back and can't wait to try even more food!
The chairs are very small in the high top section. I felt as though I was going to slide off. When we arrived it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted high top chair seating by the hostess but we were never asked. The tiny seating area that wasn’t high top seating took a very long time to get a table. I just wish they asked your preference for seating.

From the moment we sat down we were treated like VIPs. Ingrid, our server was extremely helpful in explaining the menu since we had never been to the restaurant before. She made additional suggestions to help us place our order and the result was that everything was perfect. She came back several times to make sure that everything was good. Kevin, the manager, stopped to talk with us while personally delivering one of the dishes. He was very charming and took time to tell us about the history of the restaurant and the other locations. We could not have been more pleased.
