Delicious food and wine 🍷 enjoyable meal. Shame racklette isn’t always available
A little on the expensive side but the steak was great.
Wonderful place - delicious food and very helpful staff!
Lovely Sunday dinner with my family and good value. Would definitely recommmend!
Delicious flat iron steak and raclette, very warm and friendly staff!
Food was average and service was poor. We had to wait for our table to be available and it proved very difficult to get served.
I went on a Tuesday evening for dinner with my housemate when Bordelaise had a 2 for 1 offer on their flat iron steaks. I had wanted to visit for ages and really wanted it to be amazing but it was a little disappointing. The steak was well cooked (maybe slightly under seasoned and a little chewy in places).. the Bordelaise sauce that came with it was a little underwhelming sadly - it was just very thin and quite watery. The sides were ok - I went for green beans and the side salad which were both ok, nothing special. I also noticed that other people around us had steaks served on different plates / boards so I wonder if you perhaps get a slightly different (and less good) offering if you do the 2 for 1 deal?! I will definitely go back as I want to support my local restaurants but I wouldn’t rush back annoyingly - I SO wanted to love this place!
The food was tasty, the Malbec was wonderful and the service was friendly.
The only downer was that it was very cold in the Butcher's room, although we did warm up over delicious food.
Amazing value for money and amazing service. We will order throughout lockdown for takeaway and collection and look forward to dining in again when restrictions are lifted.
Delicious food. Great Service. Always a lovely evening to enjoy here.
Exceeded expectation , lucky new local mid week find for us. Will definitely return.
Overall a really good evening . Great food and vibe.
Needs to be warmer and food needs to be more interesting. An average experience.
Visited on a Tuesday and had BOGOF on flat iron steak which was perfectly cooked. Great service and lovely setting.
I love this place! Great food. A real hidden gem
The steak and dofinouise potatoes are amazing!! Really tasty food.
Big fan of Bordelaise. Another great meal. Onion soup, steak, cheese And red wine.
Food is great quality and service is consistently good and food good value for money. We always enjoy our evenings when we go to Borderlaise.
We went for a Sunday roast which was absolutely delicious. The only thing I would say was the meat was very tough. Otherwise the veg and dauphinoise potatoes were spot on 👌🏼
It was very busy and they’d run out of lots of food. We were seated 20 minutes late meaning that we didn’t get food until 9pm when we had an 8pm booking.
The waitress was lovely and very apologetic.
Great little place, tables and chairs possibly a bit small and packed in but amazing food and fun night!
A neighbourhood restaurant that consistently hits a very high mark.
Fantastic food, really nice location. Staff were great.
Lovely as always. Food and wine both excellent. I thought value was particularly good as well.
Simply put one of the finest Sunday lunches I’ve ever had. One slight criticism is that the serving of dauphinois was a little small, but next time I will order an extra side.
The tarte tatin was the best I’ve ever had. Superb
The most delicious cocktail I've EVER had in the honey and thyme margherita, the food was really lovely, gorgeous atmosphere, and I loved getting to choose the cheeses for our cheese course. I recommend.
Great food in a very vibrant setting. Service was great and it's good value for money.
Great dinner at Bordelaise, steaks were cooked perfectly - try the flat iron and rib eye.
Didn’t even end up eating, as was ignored for 10 minutes waiting to be seated and then got seated in a dark cold corner and waited some more and still no service when we sat down! So we gave up and left.
No social distancing n the market and minimal mask compliance around the market from guests.
Great food and ambience as always! A great and valued addition to the local market food scene.
This was a fantastic place for a birthday meal with friends. All courses were delicious, well cooked steaks and a great Sunday roast. Service was fab and our waitress brought a birthday candle in my dessert too! Would recommend!
Lovely food, and great atmosphere, let down a bit by the wine which doesn't seem great value
Really cute place, food is really yummy.
Charming and cosy.
Delicious food and a cracking bottle of wine. Excellent cheese.
Warmly greeted and well looked after.
A great spot.
Excellent, food and service. The chocolate Mouleux was epic
Lovely menu and food. Good atmosphere and setting too
We had a wonderful meal - everything was delicious - and great service. I love Bordelaise!
Mediocre food and wine at a nice location. Too expensive for what is on offer.
Always a fabulous meal here, service excellent - just the right amount of attention with added humour. Great evening with great food - what more do you need!
The food was very well cooked and presented. We had the duck which was delicious. The chocolate and walnut cake was the best ever. Cocktails packed a lunch and very tasty. Was disappointed they did not have the ox cheek on the menu but will go back to experience that.
