Borelli's Wine Bar & Grill
Limp side salad, dry bread, overall not terribly exciting
Very friendly and efficient waitresses, good value food and a good selection of wines for a reasonable price.
We had booked a table pre our sons wedding, when we arrived there was no booking, I had my email confirming the book, it was good job that there was a table available. Food was very good and service.
Noisy and characterised by party goers. Anyone wanting a good night out with friends would be disappointed if you are not rowdy, heavily drinking and occupying the bathrooms due to overindulgence.
We will not go again, no matter what occasion.
We didn’t really enjoy our food. There was a loud table next to us so that didn’t help but the waitress did all she could make our meal a good one. Sadly we won’t be eating there again but we will definitely go for a drink as the bar is very lively.
Average = food service and ambience - would go again but nothing to write home about
Excellent food and service in a pleasant atmosphere
Good atmosphere, good food, good value, good and friendly service but it did get to a point where my friend and I could no longer hear each other speak due to the size and exuberance of groups of people standing at the bar. Maybe sitting right next to the bar wasn't the best choice for catching up with an old friend. Will definitely be back but might try a different table. :)
Customer service generally good, some staff were friendlier than others! Food took quite a while to come so had to rush to eat it as was on a lunch break but was cooked fresh and tasty when it arrived! Good selection of wraps and sandwiches and a nice small list of wines. Liked being able to sit inside but within the large open doors with the sunshine coming in.
Brilliant! A wonderful evening of excellent food, great venue, friendly and genuinely helpful staff, well stocked bar - overall a really excellent choice for any occasion, well done all for helpfing to make the evening as fantastic as it was. Thank you.
Don't miss the fishcake! Good ambience and value for money
always go there in a group of friends for my birthday
Lovely night with friends. Food & service great & good value!
booked at 11:30pm friday night on line for lunch the next day, great meal, well priced
Great food and staff. Lovely atmosphere, we will be back.
We had a lovely table with great service from the staff
We would both highly recommend this fabulous restaurant Nothing was too much trouble
Service was unprofessional, the waitress served a hot plate using the cuffs of her jumper. The food wasnt great either, had nachos to start which were bland and soggy, then had the chargilled chicken which tasted more like it had been thrown into a fire, burnt to a crisp and dry. All in all this was a very expensive meal for the qaulity of food. Felt very disapointed as i had heard good things about the restaurant.
We sat downstairs in the bar area as it was pre theatre early dinner and the restaurant upstairs was still empty. Bar downstairs was lively, food was good and service friendly and efficient.
A very relaxed dining area and a warm welcome. Our meal was excellent, unusual starter which the chef had only recently invented and was very good indeed. The rest of the meal was nicely cooked and piping hot.
We arrived and I immediately I had to cancel our booking for a table for 5, as our numbers had dropped and plans changed. Nevertheless the bar staff were polite and helpful in this. We sat in the bar area for approximately 2 hours and enjoyed a lively atmosphere and some tasty bar snacks provided free to the customers. Live music was provided in the patio area. Easy to access this venue from the car park.
This evening was booked for my engagement meal and a wonderful night we all had,Thank you to all the staff that made it a great night
Good food, wine and service for our pre-theatre meal.
I came here for some food with a group of friends and it was possibly one of the worst experiences/meals we have ever had. There restaurant was empty and somehow it took over an hour for our mains to arrive after our starters had. After that things went downhill with all the mains being either under-cooked or over-cooked. A brief overview - the halloumi burger was cooked to death, the poor thing was pretty much cardboard and completely inedible, the steak was requested medium rare and when it arrived it was blue inside - also completely inedible. The staff were unfriendly and we had to request the manager come and talk to us so that we could raise our issues. When we questioned the bill he was reluctant to give us any concessions and we had to argue our case for 10 minutes before flat out refusing to pay for the awful dishes - they were lucky we were agreed to pay for the ones they did manage to get right. To summarise the experience was pretty awful, the food was awful, the service was awful and no one in their right mind should think this is a decent place to grab food.
Set menu was good, we had a nice mesl
Excellent diverse menu to suit all preferences, served in a simple and appetising way. Very good portion size served by interested and engaging staff. Thoroughly recommend to anyone as it appeals to those wanting to share a bottle of wine and a few snacks or, like us, a full blown 3 course meal with drinks for a family birthday
Great service, with really good food.
Should come with a warning about the portion size, both our starters and main course were huge. But still really good quality.
A good overall experience, ambiance and service good. Menu promised much and almost delivered on all counts but not quite.
The jacket potato with prawns wasn't anything special. The potato was dry and seemed as though it had been reheated. The prawns were like shrimps with a mixture of sliced spring onions, together with black pepper or something similar.
I've had better at Borelli's.
We spent a relaxing very enjoyable evening at Borelli's. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. The service was outstanding. The Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Borelli's is an ideal place to have a cosy intimate dinner for two or a meal with friends or a party as a group. The Restaurant was warm and very clean. We will definitely visit again.
Lovely meal and very good service. Will def. be going back.
It was a disappointing meal. Despite being relatively empty when we arrived there was a comment made about our 7.30 booking (we had booked and received confirmation for 7pm). The food was mediocre at best, the worst being a beef and ale pie that looked extremely dry and the requested extra gravy took an age to arrive. The cajun chicken was also dry and unappetising. A shame as we had dined here twice previously and each time the food was fantastic. Sadly we wont be returning.
I discovered Borelli's originally on a works evening out a year ago and have been a regular customer ever since. I work close to Farnham town and Borelli's is a great bar/restaurant for lunch, dinner or just drinks in the evening. My colleagues and I regularly have lunch at Borellis and the food is always great and the staff friendly and accommodating.
We had a really great meal here for my Mum's birthday. The staff were lovely and happily served a cake we had brought. The food was delicious and fantastic value as always, and they were great at checking allergens and ensuring my meal was gluten free, as I'm coeliac. Would definitely recommend to others and will certainly be returning!
A most disapointing experience, service by manager was poor, no real apology no checking to see if the new pies were ok, the third meal sea bass was covered in oil and the fish overcooked. Will not return, although we have eaten there before on many occasions.
Further to taking about 20 minutes before welcoming us and taking us to our table, we made our selection of starter and main. Following this the main was served with the apologies that our starters had been forgotten. Kindly the option was given to have the starter with our main which we agreed to, but our starter arrived about 10 minutes after we finished our main. This should have probably been a warning sign as when we later waiting for either our plate to be taken or the offer to have dessert the noise volume and mess of the waitresses got worst. It took about 15 mins to order a desert and another 25 to actually have it. The food might have been delicious but the service was appalling and very deceiving after spending over £30pp for a diner.
I went here with my two teenage daughters for a father's day lunch.
As the weather was lovely, we sat outside in the very pleasant courtyard.
To be honest the food was much better than I expected! We had nachos for starters, followed by rib-eye steak and chicken kebabs. I couldn't find any fault with the food, and my steak was cooked to perfection.
My only disappointment was that the wine was nothing to write home about.
I will definitely eat here again.
It was our three year anniversary of meeting ech other and every year we always return. The food is e collect, the service is excellent and the waiting staff are attentive in a relaxed way.
We will be returning for many years to come
We booked a table for 7:30pm on a Friday night, it was buzzing in the bar on arrival but the restaurant upstairs was dead. We were the first to sit and had the place to ourselves, we didn't mind but towards the end of the meal as,more people started to arrive it definitely lifted the atmosphere. The food was great, the steaks cooked to perfection and really tasty. The service was spot on and we would definitely go back again.
Both the restaurant and bar area where serving food for Mothers Day but too many people for kitchen to cope and get out food in timely fashion, food was OK
Not a great first experience and probably would visit for a simple lunch again but not a special occasion or large group.
The starters were disappointing. We refused to pay. Mains were good nice steaks apart from spilling the juices from the meat all down me
Staff were friendly
