Food wasn’t worth the price.

Excellent food. Recommend the flaming shrimp, chicken rolls, duck confit, mussels and baby potatoes. Tons of gluten-free options. The size of each tapa was wonderful, not super small like most tapas places. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Botanero is my go-to for little plates. The food never disappoints! The flatbreads and empanadas are always delicious. The Flaming Shrimp are amazing too.

The only downfall was the wine - we ordered a bottle and when it was opened, it did not taste like the description. AFTER we had tasted from the opened bottle, we were told it wasn't the same bottle that was described on the menu that we had ordered. Very perplexing coming from a wine bar.

The menu here has something for every taste. Small plates but good size portions. Items came out at an even pace to share everything. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert. Learned later that we should have ordered one to take home for later. Outdoor area has heat lamps and takeout available.

Everything was great! Very up to date with things covid-19 related my friends and I loved our time at the restaurant, will definitely be back!

Every plate was delicious! Would high recommend, my wife and I went on an anniversary date and it did not disappoint, we were raving about each and every bite!

Unfortunately the place is seriously understaffed and it showed in the quality of the drinks. Those were the biggest disappointment! Advice: dont substitute your bartender with your waitresses! The food was fair nothing to brag about (farro was slightly undercooked and brussel sprouts and scallops needed salt. Badly!

I dont' know what type of day our server was having but she looked like she could have a V8! She was dry and rather unattentive to our table. Thankfully she understood and took the drinks off our tab but her energy left much to be desired during my Bride2Be brunch. Hopefully management reads this and notes the changes!!

Food was pretty mediocre, too much pepper on everything, but the drinks were good and the service was excellent . Good place to meet up with friends to have a drink.

Everything was really tasty. We were so surprised because we never knew this restaurant was there and it surpassed our expectations. My husband crushed the brussel sprouts and the mussels, I loved the paella croquettes and the scallops. We wanted to get 3 more plates but we were so full. We have already talked about going back!

The time spent there was good, as always. However, the second bottle of wine we ordered seemed to be a bit fermented (if that is the proper term) the wine was a bit cloudy and did not taste at all as the first bottle did even though it was the same. We did not tell management so I cannot say it was their fault or that they did not do anything about it because I’m sure they would have.

Wonderful service, outstanding food!! Such an accommodating restaurant who meets all our needs. It was a special occasion and they made it extra special for us.

We had a wonderful outdoor brunch at Botanero. The outdoor seating is on the sidewalk, but there was not a lot of people or cars, so it was very peaceful and relaxing. The food was great and the service extremely attentive. Highly recommend it for outdoor, socially distanced dining.

My second try here with out of town guests for brunch and again an issue, we ordered beignets and never received them nor were we told I’m sorry or I apologize or I forgot, so disappointing when trying to show friends local businesses in King Farm

Our dinner at El Botanero was wonderful, as always. We had comfortable and safe seating on the sidewalk. For starters, we tried a new tapa, truffle mac and cheese, very tasty, and then two of our favorites, grilled salmon and beef short ribs with glasses of white and red wine. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, so we shared another glass of the Spanish red wine. Topped off by a perfect tres leches cake for dessert. Our favorite place in Rockville!

Great outdoor tapas dining. Wonderful menu on a quiet side street. I'll be sad when it gets too cold to eat outdoors, but will use Botanero for takeout during the long upcoming winter.

We were sitting outside next to the curb @ the intersection for lunch. It was much noisier than our previous experiences sitting closer to the bldg outside at dinner or Sunday brunch.

Great food and reasonable prices for the food. We went to celebrate my mom's birthday. The service was great, our waitress was really nice and helpful. The restaurant itself was spreadout to be 6 ft apart from other customers. We would go back again.

Such a great variety of foods in their menu... enjoyed the flaming Shrimp Tempura and Grilled chicken .. the beer on tap was great too! Overall a great first dining experience .. will go again!

I might be a little biased because I live a walking distance away from Botanero. Ever since this place was opened perhaps 4 years ago, I always love their food and the contemporary tapas format. Since the pandemic, they have successfully introduced a rotating world cuisine prix fixe style menu every week. We tried the Turkish version a few weeks ago. This week the inspiration was from Israel. I am no expert of Israeli food but what they have put together was very tasty and well presented, from the starter to the 2 main dishes, lamb and chicken, to the green beans, and finally onto the honey cake dessert. Everyone was memorable. We also got two lunch boxes packed for later consumption. I don't know how the chef managed to master so many cuisines in such short amount of time but the result so far is amazing.
