Our menus are based on the very finest vegetables. Vegetables play the starring role and are complemented with a little cheese or eggs when requested. Most of our produce is grown on local soil and combined with international flavours and cooking techniques to create exciting, fresh and vibrant dishes.
Our wines are organic and come from farmers in Europe, whose vision of agriculture chimes with ours. Honest wine made with love and care, using natural methods. Unpretentious, proven craftsmanship. We believe wine made in this way tastes better, is more vibrant, pure and matches perfectly with our food.
Our beers are brewed in Sussex with the freshest and natural ingredients and so is our coffee which we roast a few metres away from our lit

We love Food for Friends so were very disappointed with this new venture. In terms of the restaurant layout the upstairs is fine but the downstairs is rather awkward- we were at the back so had to experience people going to and from the toilet! The food was okish but overall we found it pretty bland - when asked how the food was we gave our feedback to the waiter who then just walked off. Perhaps we went on a bad night given it was the last night before lockdown - however it is not a cheap meal so if that was the case it shouldn't have been.
We sampled a good portion of the menu and it was amazing. Our hearts go to the tempura emoji mushrooms, they’re truly amazing. The atmosphere was lovely and cosy, perfect anniversary meal just before the 2nd lockdown. Keep up the good work team and we hope to eat there again soon!
I liked the concept of the menu and the thought that had gone into it but the taste of the food just didn't match up.
Food was amazing waitress was great, we asked to move table and were then seated at a great table upstairs by the window and was a truly wonderful evening
A vegetarian restaurant on a par with Terre a Terre - which means - it’s terrific.
It was my first time eating at Botanique.
It definitely won’t be my last.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the surroundings very pleasant and the food was delicious.
Great food, friendly staff and good service and a lovely atmosphere. Quickly become a favourite in Brighton
Amazing food and excellence service! Would definitely go again
Great breakfast at short notice - highly recommended.
Absolutely stunning from start to finish, I can’t wait to return
The only complaint is that we weren’t warned how generous the portions are and ordered far too much.
Not a bad problem though as we were offered a doggy bag!
Incredible experience. The best meal out I’ve had in years!
Delicious food and fantastic service. Lovely atmosphere.
Some of the nicest food I have had in a very long time. Beautifully presented, well balanced and a celebration of the wonders of veggies. Very well informed staff and a wonderful story behind each dish. Highly recommend the mushrooms!
Lovely long lunch in a relaxed atmosphere for a birthday celebration. Great food and service. Thanks
Botanique serves good quality vegetarian good in a nice setting. Highly recommended.
Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely dine there again
Lovely service and food
Really lovely treat for vegan diners, and those who fancy a change. The food choices are a delight - it was hard to decide which to choose, they all sounded lovely (and were when the ones we went for arrived). Definitely recommended... it’s just what Hove’s been waiting for!
Amazing brunch! Favourite so far in Brighton having moved a few months ago! Would recommend to everyone xxx
We were a party of three people and our overall impression was mixed. The idea of a vegan restaurant is great and some of our food was nice, but not all. For me, the mushroom tempura starter was overcooked and disappointing. Our main courses were good but the desserts less so e.g. I had rice pudding with poached pear, which was hard.
The overall ambience was relaxed and tables were well distanced from one another. The highspot of our experience was the service, which was very friendly and attentive.
The staff were so lovely and friendly! The food was delicious and the menu had its quirks which was fun. This place is unique and beautiful and I cannot wait to come back!
Superb food and a wonderful dining experience - can't wait for next visit!
Delicious brunch at Botanique. Avocado on toast and mushroom on toast. Nicely presented and delicious. Good coffee as well. Decor very understated but stylish and loved the linen napkins.
Very good value
Really lovely evening at La Botanique. The setting is lovely. We all really enjoyed our meals and the variety, however they were on the higher end price wise and the menu was a little too wordy. Would definitely go back for a special occasion.
We had a lovely time and the food was divine! Couldn’t ask more for a nice and relaxed birthday lunch.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Will be back again soon!
The atmosphere was amazing, the food and wine was insane. The cheese cake was the best I’ve ever had. We were made to feel very comfortable by the staff especially Tim. Would highly recommend for date night.
Lovely staff, super service, tasty food!
Safe and sound Covid wise which is reassuring.
A lovely venue and delectable food. I took my parents who are not veggie and they loved it!
Great meal and staff very friendly and accommodating. COVID aware but terrific ambience in spite of this. Food beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommended.
Wow just wow. Are fans of the restaurant in Brighton and decided to give the new restaurant a try. Did not disappoint on any level. Food for Friends taken too another level. Will be back.
A gorgeous restaurant, with great friendly staff and amazing food. It's lovely as a new vegan to be able to order anything I want off of the menu and not worry. I highly recommend for a fine dining vegetarian/vegan experience.
Our dinner at Botanique was amazing. The descriptions on the menu are quite cryptic, so each dish was a delicious delight. Obviously, a lot of work has gone into each dish to get the amazing flavours and textures. Keen to go back as soon as I can.
Stylish, relaxed setting with creative plant based menu. Excellent service. A great addition to Hove’s choice of restaurants.
Just back from Scotland where Covid safe standards were so high - like Temperature checked on arrival. One member of staff’s mask only covered his mouth. Just doesn’t fill me with confidence. That said food was good.
Really great location and everything was great, tasty, delicious, beautifully presented, except the rice pudding... rice a bit tough... and no warning about cinnamon on the menu... But the blackberry pavlova was incredible!!!
All the starters and mains delicious too..,
Good new addition to Hove restaurant scene. Good variety on the menu though quite a few options needed explain in what they were. The washroom is in the courtyard outside and we felt a slight draught when the door was opened , which I imagine will be more noticeable as winter approaches. Service was efficient and friendly. I’m not vegan or vegetarian but found the food I had tasty and satisfying
Crêpe was colourful, scrumptious and beautiful. Highly recommend.
The food was great but the service was so slow! It took over an hour for a simple brunch to arrive for two people and over 45 mins to order in the first place. Shame because it was otherwise lovely.
