Lovely atmospheric outdoor barn with tasty burgers but very overpriced. £16 for a burger and chips served in a plastic burger box. That’s restaurants prices not what you would expect in an outdoor barn.

Unusual place. Excellent beer and food but not keen on plastic 'glasses' Service was top notch and friendly.
Well out in the sticks which was a good point.
Toilet facilities were a let down.
Didn't realise that the barn wa exactly that. Open to the elements and rather cold, despite the fire pit.
Will definitely go back in the summer!

Perfect meal, extremely friendly staff and food was scrumptious. Menu is slightly limited to be honest but we really enjoyed our meal.

Service a bit slow, but friendly. variable amounts of drink (wine) served. A "medium" only about six tablespoons worth and smaller than the subsequent "small" ordered. Prosecco also completely different quantities for "medium". None were generous.

Great job of the barn . Food was excellent but wine choice poor and not the best value . Lovely to be out and hats off to the B and G for this brave venture in the current climate

My first visit to the fab burger barn. Such a brilliant new concept at my favourite pub. They have shown amazing innovation and agility throughout the challenge of 2020 and I’m sure will have a brilliant future. Highly recommend.

We were looking forward to a birthday lunch as some while ago we had a very good meal at the B & G. Sadly not this time.
1. Menu had little variety and we both struggled to find anything inspiring. If you didn’t want fish and chips there were only red meat dishes on offer and a beetroot ravioli.
2. Beetroot ravioli was overly sweet, the pasta not well cooked in parts and it presented as a very boring looking bowl of beetroot juice and pasta with no other accompaniment or colour.
3. Vegetable served with venison dish undercooked and hard.
4. We excitedly ordered affogato to finish which is a favourite. This was presented as just a scoop of ice cream and espresso coffee in a glass. It came without almond liqueur and was bitter and not particularly enjoyable. After checking with the waitress we were told the chef said affogato is not served with a liqueur. This is not the case.
Extremely disappointed and will definitely not be going again.

Nice burgers ! We still stink of smoke from the fire in the barn which is ridiculous...everyone’s eyes were streaming!

The Burger Barn was a bit fresh even with the raging log fire and a heater but the beer was great (Loddon) and the food was fab (a little bit expensive - would expect a few fries for £12) and fresh and tasty. The loaded chips were mega.
Great for little ones too. Was a nice atmosphere and really cannot wait to come back but either wearing thermals or in warmer weather. Well done!
Lauren our waitress was great too - very happy and delivered a good level of customer service

Visited The Bottle & Glass in the penultimate evening before the area went into Tier 3. From a COVID compliance point of view, the restaurant was well spaced out, all serving staff wore face masks at all times and we felt very safe.

The menu was varied and they were very happy to accommodate changes that my wife asked for to the accompanying vegetables in her choice of main.
Both the starter and our mains were excellent. Clearly the Chef and his kitchen team are very talented and cook to a high standard.

We came for a meal out in a year where we haven’t had that opportunity often, so not for a specific special occasion. But I would not hesitate to book The Bottle & Glass for special occasion meals, as I am confident that I would get a memorable meal with excellent service.
Leah, our main server, was engaging, friendly, attentive and happy to help throughout, and all other staff we spoke to were excellent too.

I would definitely recommend the Bottle & Glass, and I hope that it comes safely through these trying times for the pub and restaurant industry, as I will be looking forward to returning again in the future.

What could have been lovely simply wasn't. The burgers we're good meat version and veggie one. The music was out of a ghetto blaster and being turned up by staff members having their own party. Several customers moved away from the area so they could hear themselves speak. The fire pit was fab to look at but no real heat gained and the atmosphere was ruined for a lunchtime bite to eat

Lovely cosy environment with the fire pit and staff were very attentive but not overbearing which was good.

Haven't given full stars as we all found our burgers to be over cooked and a little tough, also a tad on the expensive side when you have to order fries or sides separately. My partners also found his burger very peppery (but this could be down to personal taste). We've eaten in the main restaurant before and this has been excellent, so it wouldn't put us off coming back, just wouldn't have the burgers in burger barn again. Would also be good to get a warm drink with meal being sat outside.

Came across the venue via social media and thought, "I've got to go". Unfortunately expectations were not met, I ordered a dish that was shown on social media and it looked nothing like what I received, it was also cold, plenty of flavour I must admit. It was quite hard to get staffs attention at times too. Was greeted by one member, drinks order was taken by another, food order taken by another, food brought out by another and the final bill was also sorted by another member, all very pleasant. It felt very dis-organised. There were no delays with the food and the staff did make myself drinks that were not on the menu.
It's not about the money but when spending just shy of £160 for 2 people to have mains and dessert I expect hot food and a little more attention to detail when that is what is being advertised.
I would suggest others to go as I'm sure it was just a one off. Would I return, not sure

We had a lovely evening celebrating as a family our daughter’s birthday in the wonderful converted Barn at the Bottle and Glass set in stunning countryside near our home. The Covid safety rules were followed to the letter without being in any way intrusive. Honestly the staff were marvellous - we couldn’t see their actual smiles but that didn’t matter because they were clearly smiling at us all with friendly eyes.:).
One of our small party requested a gluten free bun with his burger and, after checking, the waiter returned saying yes no problem but advised us that they couldn’t guarantee his meal would be prepared in an entirely gluten-free environment, would that be ok? Yes it was, more than ok. And how good of them to think of that and check. Two delicious beef burgers, one delicious veggie burger and whatever the gluten free dish was - all were toasty hot and cooked to perfection, as were the rosemary chips.
It was the first time we had eaten out as a family since lockdown, and the Bottle and Glass Barn bedecked with fairy lights and sparkling fire pit and just the right sort of music playing in the background lived up to all our imaginings. Thank you.

Yes Covid restrictions make it very difficult to operate at the moment, so we appreciated being able to go out - but as we were the only people there were not happy to be totally ignored by the 3 waiting staff. We had 4 underwhelming burgers with stale bread, 2 drinks each, a 13% service charge (!) and that came to £125. No wonder we were the only ones there!

Lovely food, quite pricey but nice.

Ate in the barn which felt very well ventilated and safe. Do dress warm

There are heaters and a fire pit but it's a huge space to heat.

With a few more twinkly lights it could be really stunning.

Lovely staff. Have recommended to friends.
