Went after matinee performance of the Lion King. 4 minutes away. We were celebrating grandson’s 7th Birthday. The young lady who served us made a fuss of him. M
Food was good and excellent value. Will go there again.

I booked a table at Boulevard Brasserie to celebrate Christmas with some friends, as it is an annual tradition for us.
Booking was easy and, when a few of our guests could not come at the last minute, straightforward to amend on the phone.
We were seated quickly and the atmosphere and our waiter and the Christmas decorations were lovely. Unfortunately, service took a very long time.
We were not given drinks menus when we arrived and waited at least 30 minutes to get our drinks once they were ordered. This may have been less obvious, had it not been quite so warm where we were seated. We were offered water on arrival and I am glad we took it otherwise I could have seen some of my friends faint in the heat!
The food was nice, but nothing special. It was a little disappointing given the special occasion, but had it been a normal meal out I probably would not have had any issue with it. I also think quality varied depending on what you ordered. For instance the cheesecake desert seemed far better than the Christmas Pudding, which was very small.
It seemed to be a long time between our courses (we had the Christmas set menu). We were often waiting for plates to be cleared or for something to arrive. We waited so long for our bill we had to flag down our waiter multiple times to get it. In fact our whole meal took much longer than I expected. From arrival to departure we were there over 3 hours - a surprise as I had been told our table was only booked for 2 and an irritant as some guests had to travel some distance home.
Due to the lengthy delays we faced, we did not intend to leave the full gratuity. This became a problem when paying by card and led to further waiting. Perhaps this was of our own making, as we wanted to pay our gratuity in cash, nonetheless it did not add to the experience we had.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience - we just had a few disappointments. But like I said before, had it not been a special occasion we probably wouldn't have minded as much.

We absolutely loved the Boulevard Brasserie! Food, service, atmosphere were all perfect. My mother in law is notoriously hard to please and she said her salmon fish cakes were ‘perfection’ - unheard of for her! The waiter was just attentive enough and very witty and the wine list was very reasonably priced. They were also happy to make cocktails for my daughter even though they weren’t listed on the menu. It’s very festive at the moment and I can honestly say we will be back very soon. The manager was lovely and welcoming too so I’d definitely give it a go!

Food and service was exceptional. The below ground dining can get very loud with big parties. Would go back and sit in a more open area.

Superb value as always and delicious food. Ambience was lively but you could hear yourself speak ok despite the place being a bit of a squeeze inside.
Main took a while to arrive, which meant we had no time for coffee as we were asked to vacate the table after 2 hours. Understandable, and normal practice when busy, but not entirely our fault.
A waitress dropped someone’s beer over the floor by accident and it splashed down the coat of one of our party. Maybe a gesture would have been a nice touch. Free coffee? Oh wait, we had no time!

We had a group booking (5) for a Christmas meal and are so pleased we chose Boulevard Brasserie. The atmosphere was joyful, the food delicious and the service very attentive and welcoming. We were never under pressure to finish and leave by a certain time, and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Will be back soon!

BB has never failed (so far) on the quality of its food or quality of its service. Prices have gone up a fair bit since lockdown but this is probably to be expected. It is however still value for money in this location.

Started with a warm, friendly welcome, and from then on the service was excellent. We both had boeuf bourgignon, which was delicious, followed by a chocolate gateau which was also delicious. The prix fixe was outstanding value, especially for central London.
Our only complaint really was the noise level. It was busy, so lots of people talking, which is as it should be, but the music was much louder than it needed to be.
Would definitely come again and sample other food that appealed to us.

We pre booked a table for 7. We had a table on the top floor which initially was quite crowded but by the time we had our first course we were almost the only table occupied.

Service was excellent. Food and wine lovely, a great evening

Just wonderful. All the food is delicious, the service friendly, fast and the atmosphere was great.
We had to change numbers at last minute due to pandemic and they were so accommodating - and even brought a special treat for the newly married couple we were celebrating with dinner.

We are all coming back.

My wife and I enjoyed our post theatre meal at Boulevard Brasserie. But I had to bite my tongue, as it were, because I did not want to spoil the experience. My wife had the prix fixed menu, three courses at £19 BUT the bill showed prix fixe, two courses PLUS dessert charged full price. Not impressed, smacked of penny pinching. I kept quiet as I say because I wanted a pleasant evening. Also the cassoulet I had was minus Toulouse sausage? Still good but somewhat incomplete. I would go again but next time, mesieurs, I won't be so 'British' about speaking out....

We had a very pleasant experience, as it was our 50th wedding anniversary, we were given a Prosecco each, a kind gesture, thanks. Service was prompt and the food (main, beef bourginone), the three-course menu was good value at £19 and wine not overpriced too highly. We have recommended you to our friends, well done!

My first visit since Covid hit, delighted to find a familiar face greeting me. As always they took care to seat me as requested in a quiet corner as my friend has hearing problems. Friendly and efficient service and delicious food at a very reasonable price and so convenient for the Royal Opera House. I look forward to returning.
