The menu options were varied and interesting. The waiter was attentive and friendly. I especially enjoyed the cocktail we had with dinner - Fire and Smoke (hot and smoky).
Excellent service. And food. Congratulations!
Return visit to one of the top tier spots in Miami. A reliable and excellent experience.
This is our fourth time eating here. The last two experiences have been very mediocre for food quality.
My lamb chops were overcooked and my wife's amatraciana pasta was bland to say the least. I probably won't return to this location. It isn't even close to Daniel in Manhattan.
Food was amazing and service was outstanding. Would definitely come back
First time at the restaurant, the service is good and the food is one of the best in Miami restaurant.
Service, ambience, and food were all very good. Unique place!
Nothing special for the date night of thanksgiving.
Most of the food was excellent, but the service, specially at the bar was very poor. It is a shame as it is a beautiful venue and the food is very good. The focaccia was delicious, but the sourdough bread was stale.
Great food, great service before a show. We loved experience!
Went here for thanksgiving dinner with my husband and it was amazing!!! The service, ambiance, food/drinks, EVERYTHING!!! Def gonna go back again in general! Thank you!
Although the food was good and the server was very good, I can not recommend Boulud Sud. My sister and I stayed at the Hotel Beaux Arts and went to the restaurant as I purchased a TravelZoo voucher. They refused to take the mobile version which reflected a voucher # and a bar code, insisted I email it and the server ( who was very good) did not take our food order. We sat for I think 45 minutes waiting for them to receive it via email. I advised the manager and general manager that we had a concert to go to and the order was not taken. We only saw two Robin Thicke songs and had to pay for valet as we arrived too late to have the valet ticket validated. Shame on you Ms. Lay. Btw, I am a concierge as is my Sister.
Skip the breakfast it was bland unimaginative and so over priced. We have had dinner here which was fine we made a mistake going back for breakfast.
Have not been there for several years but came away impressed. Quality of food was outstanding with beautiful presentation. Would strongly recommend it as a delightful evening out..
Unfortunately the dining experience was well below expectations. The place is very nice but we've been to another Boulud restaurant recently and it was much better. Artichokes tasteless, branzino was super dry. Not sure I'll give it another try.
Very over priced and low benefits.
Cibo buono, servizio con qualche inciampo. Nel complesso esperienza positiva.
Thank you, Boulud Sud Miami, for the wonderful meal and service. We definitely will return.
The food and desserts were great, but is the service that tops my chart. Great job !
We enjoyed Boulud Sud so much two nights earlier that I brought two friends for dinner here. They were impressed! No room for dessert this time though. I had the mezze appetizer and the scallop main dish. The hummus was especially creamy.
We realized that this was our sixth Daniel Boulud restaurant in five different cities with New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, Montreal, and now Miami in about ten months. We sound like "groupies"!? We choose to dine at these restaurants when we have a chance because of the excellent food and service. Boulud Sud in Miami was exceptional. Our appetizers were shrimp in garlic and octopus with mains of Harissa lamb and slow cooked and rich tasting salmon. We made sure to leave room for dessert and savoured a poached fig combination with rosemary ice cream.
We had brunch the other day and it was fantastic! The menu options were unique and creative and the execution was on point. We ordered the lamb flatbread and were wowed from the start. Then the frenchie burger, which prompted comments from the table next to us about it being “the best burger in Miami”.... they weren’t lying!! We also shared a unique take on pancakes, which I haven’t seen offered anywhere else.
To highlight how good each item was, I will say that we had a perfectly cooked octopus and it didn’t crack the top 3 dishes we had.
We will definitely go back if we get a chance.
Above and beyond. Service was impeccable, the food was amazing, the ambiance was breath taking. Can’t go wrong here.
The food was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was astonishingly bad. We had too people with ceiliac disease and the waiters just couldn’t get that straight even if the kitchen could. Further service was slow. One would have thought that the restaurant was packed at the time but there were few tables occupied in our dinning room.
good ambiance but priced is a little high.
i would go back just for happy hours
The food and the spices are creative and outstanding, bursting with flavor. We started with the Shrimp Alioi which was wonderful, then had the octopus ala plancha--it was superb---perfectly cooked and seasoned and the hummus/taziki sauce on side was just enough to give it a pop, without drowning out the taste of the pulpo. I enjoyed the Branzino fish and the spices on the crust were amazing, yet not too overpowering for the mild perfectly cooked fish. My husband enjoyed the Shrimp w- Lemon over Linguine and was very pleased. Dessert was chocolate GF cake with bananas --light and delicious. The Moroccan Mint tea was the best tea ever!
SO, why didn't I give it 5 stars all around? The server and placement of where we were seated. This is the second time we have dined at Boulard SUD and the 2nd time we have been seated by the waiters station! The waiter was friendly and asked where we lived, how many times we had been to the restaurant, made recommendations about the menu and took our order . When he brought our chilled Chablis he said he would be storing it in an ice bucket about 3 tables away from us. I said, no worries, as long as you keep an eye on when we need a refill. He was attentive through the 1st and 2nd course and did refill our wine as needed. Then during our main course the restaurant got busier....yet, not frantic, just more tables for him to wait on. We finished our main course, our wine glasses were empty for 10 minutes. He finally came to check on us and we asked for a refill of our wine. He then delivered a bill to another table and chatted with them for 5-8 minutes. I was irritated, I flagged down another waiter and asked him to refill our wine glasses and I encouraged him to finish the bottle, as we didn't know when we would get to enjoy the rest! The new waiter came back and took our dessert order. Finally, our original waiter returned and asked us the same questions he did earlier and repeated them yet again. No personal touch!
The menu has a nice variety. The ambiance is amazing and the service was superb!
Food was excellent. Requested a quiet spot via Open Table and they seated us in great spot.
Service was great, not impressed by the food.
First time trying the Spice menu brunch: some exotic choices, comfort foods, attentive service in a beautiful ambiance. Special dessert for a birthday celebration.
The food was different and beautifully presented, however my guest and i were not presented with silver ware for our appetizers, nor were we given small plates to share, or bread and oil by our server. The foodrunner had to make 3 trips back and forth because we had nothing that we were supposed to have. Our waiter was nice, but he could have been more attentive, as we saw that another couple seated behind us had all the things that we did not initially.
Very well executed dinner, early on a Friday evening. As for a Daniel Boulud restaurant, the food was unsurprisingly cooked with expertise and precision by his staff. Cocktails were great, service was good, and the Sommelier was outstanding. A bit pricey, even by Miami standards, but perfect for a special occasions. The bar area however, can get very loud with the DJ and seems a bit much for such a place... (and I am a former DJ)
The food was delicious and service spot on.
This is a beautiful restaurant, well designed, great service, great menu.
A bit on the pricey side, especially with the wine list.
We did Miami Spice so I understand we did not get the prime dishes.
We had a very good experience overall, the service was very good and professional, the food was very nice and uniquely done in a very nicely done interior.
Went for Miami Spice. No ambiance. Server was nice and helpful. The lack of service was we served ourselves water several times. Oysters were nice and fresh. The octopus was most delicious thing we ate. If we could change everything else, we’d go back just for the octopus. The humus was humus.. .store bought would have been equivalent. Ordered the chicken tangine. It ought to have been full of bold taste. It was bland and totally disappointing. Ordered the The steak was undercooked and was turned back. It was tender, but also bland. The vegetables tasteless. Excitedly we ordered the cauliflower tabouleh. Also complete disappointment had zero taste. Dessert was no big deal. Totally disappointed. Had gone to one of bollads in New York which was memorable. Can’t say that for this visit. Ordered cocktails which were good, but for the price and place underwhelming in presentation. A lemon wedge, that was it! Pricey....,not worth it. If everything was different, ambiance and presentation of the drink. would go back for a drink and the octopus! Was not worth it total let down.
The lighting in the restaurant is to bright!!!!
Excellent food and service for Spice lunch. Only good things to say.
I wanted to love it but it was just too corporate and hotel like for a local to embrace. Food was mostly very good and Happy Hour/Miami Spice made prices affordable though with $30 RT uber spent $200 for two with one HH cocktail and one HH wine. Service uneven. Had to flag down server several times. No one ever asked if we wanted another glass of wine or checked after entree dropped. Lots of people working but no one in charge. Not likely to rush back.
Great Sunday brunch place. Bottomless drinks for $23 and they can be combined, say I started with a Bloody Mary but I want a mimosa next, you can totally do it. The food was great, including the desert.
