Ever fails to please, great service good food, i love Branca

Despite the pandemic, this was a great place to go.

A very warm welcome - attentive service but not intrusive. Food was excellent - and hot even though the space is large and airy and travelled from upstairs. The focaccia we were offered on arrival had just been baked and was delicious. Also had one of the best Bellini's ever (and I have had several in Venice) Altogether a really lovely early dining experience and can't wait to go again.

Visited Branca with some friends on 20th Dec, and as usual the food didn't disappoint. Since we had requested for the outdoor seating, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was, we had a separate marquee with heater. Overall a very good start to my Christmas break.

The atmosphere and food was lovely! I loved the menu. Everything sounded amazing. My risotto with sea bass was perfect and my friends vegan burger was so good she thought the restaurant may have given her a meat one instead!

Myself and my husband had a lovely meal. The service was excellent, the food even better. But we do feel very strongly that the 12 and half percent service charge is very steep and uncalled for.
In general we would prefer the option to decide on a tip ourselves (which we always do) but understand some buissnes will add a service charge. However the normal going rate for a tip is always 10% so to charge a 12 and half percent is very steep and very off putting. Discretionary or not.
So although we really did enjoy our meal and the service provided, we remain unsure whether we will revisit, whilst this service charge remains.

Had a lovely time food was lovely staff lovely and obliging felt very safe tables well distanced. Informal atmosphere great , we have been coming here since they opened and it is still our favourite restaurant

Always a lovely place to dine, with a great standard menu complimented with compelling specials. Branca is ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner with great, friendly service and an lovely ambience. Thoroughly recommended.

Good but not exciting food, great atmosphere and just pleased to be eating out in a good restaurant again. Noise levels much improved on last visit when too noisy, possibly due to tables being further apart

We love Brancas. However on this occasion we were concerned about the closeness of tables and the fact that other diners were passing us without wearing masks. The new menu wasn't particularly to our taste - especially the starters. So for us, not our best or most enjoyable visit.

Was such a joy to get out of the house. The staff could not have been more helpful and the food was fab!

This is my 'go to' place to eat in Oxford - a fab front of house team, always looked after well. Food is never a problem - dishes are interesting and tasty. Ambience is great too, whether you're in a 2 or a larger group. Their approach to COVID safety is excellent and the use of their outdoor space is amazing - including the mini marquee! And all great value for money! What's not to love?:)

We had a lovely time with delicious food and drink. Our waiter was very amicable. Lovely decor with lots of festive lights. Pricey but worth it

As usual, Branca came up trumps! We went to celebrate our daughter getting a place on a nursing course. We asked for a jug of what I was given at my 60th birthday celebration last September. Even though it took us a while to describe what we had drunk before, the bar-staff made every effort to reproduce a drink, (apparently an Austin Power!) The menu, and specials were really great, and our server could not have gone into any more trouble to make us feel both welcome and relaxed.
We visit Branca quite regularly, using it as our special place to celebrate. We travelled up from Reading because we wanted something both special and "non-chain". We were disappointed in September 2019 because the promised bijou guest rooms were not ready, they still aren't, so we are planning a special treat when they are open for business!
Branca are really good at making parties feel really special, they go out of their way to ensure that special events are both well catered and well staffed. We recommend Branca over and above practically any restaurant we have used.

Great service and great food. worth a visit, will come back

The food is incredible, as is the ambience (especially given their beautiful Christmas decorations). It is rather expensive - especially the drinks, but good as a treat/birthday meal.
