Fantastic wine list great food and good service
Branch line has really done a great job of providing efficient, courteous, attentive service with DELICIOUS food. I had been craving their pea shoot/mint salad, and after a movie that went over we got a reservation in 10 min. We weren't seated at the most gorgeous spot, but it really didn't matter because everything was lovely. I really love this restaurant.
Great food and service and their outdoor dining setup is one of the nicest I've seen; this restaurant is lucky to have an outdoor space like this given the headlines. We've eaten here twice in the past month, once with our kids and once without and everyone left happy both times. In addition to great food and service, this restaurant really seems to be taking Covid seriously, I constantly saw staff wiping down tables, there is hand sanitizer everywhere, the tables are well spaced, etc.
This place as a simple menu with not too many things, all done really well. We had a great family dinner at Branch Line! Loved the outdoor ambiance sitting at a high-top table near planters and saw-grass, and enjoyed the twinkle lights overhead. Had a great family meal where we shared everything - the incomperable roast chicken, the ribs (get these! Do not miss them!) the sugar snap pea salad, the chickpea cake, marinated cucumbers, and fries. Terrific service, great food, nice to be outside.
Food was awful. Service and atmosphere both very good. Chicken was super dry and the corn side dish was all cob and literally no corn. Plus we ordered a whole chicken (cut up) and they delivered a half size. Swordfish and sticky ribs and pretzel were good. Overall very disappointing.
We had a delightful experience recently at Branch Line. They've done a great job setting up an outdoor space for stress free dining and my wife - a landscape designer - was very impressed with the natural environment. Service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Kid friendly (the french fries got particular raves) with many interesting options for the adults. We'll be coming back!
We were so happy to be able to eat outside, the tables were spread out and it seemed very safe. The food was excellent, the service was amazing. Can't wait to go again.
Really enjoyed the patio environment with festive lighting and lovely evening breeze. Service was excellent, as were the swordfish, shrimp scampi and the caesar salad. Will happily return soon!
We love Branch Line! This was our first outdoor experience there and we had a great lunch.
The patio was perfect and Pearl hot dogs can’t be beat. Our waitress provided great customer service and I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. We will be back!
Great meal as always. Love that peapod salad!!
Exceptional food - the snap pea salad is a must and the ribs appetizer is excellent. Can't say enough good things about Branch Line.
Our waitress could not have been nicer or more attentive. We sat out near the parking lot which wasn't as pretty as the patio but certainly a safe distance and quiet. We ordered the pea salad, ribs, chickpea pancakes , chicken and cauliflower. All were fabulous with the exception of the pancakes; they were too dense and dry. One minor complaint - it wasn't easy getting serving spoons and knives. The chicken was quartered but needed a knife and the cauliflower was whole and every time we asked, we got one knife and small soup spoons for serving. Sort of a mystery. Everyone should have gotten them along with a fork, especially nowadays. But that won't deter me from coming again soon.
Great food and service, safe environment. Recommend it.
Everything was great.
Great option for outdoor dining just outside of Boston. Branch Line always has a covered patio that they operate seasonally, so keeping it open now was easy for them. The service and food were excellent as always, and it was a pleasure to be enoying a meal at a restaurant again!
As always, the team at Branchline provided a great experience. Wonderful job making the most of their outdoor space, great wine/beer program, and Tuesday night Tacos (octopus this week) were top notch
Fabulous time and food. Better than expected. Loved it!
Feels very safe and spacious in their outdoor seating arrangement,
Great tasting food, attentive and pleasant staff, and an environment that felt safe and organized. The swordfish was outstanding as was the old standbys, snap pea salad, Cesar salad, and the burger.
The food and service were both fantastic as always. This is the perfect setting for current times of distancing. The set up is excellent and comfortable. The restaurant (set up outdoors) felt lively and the ambience, festive, despite the separated tables and groups. A big thank you to all the staff and especially to Alex who took wonderful care of us. We need more people and places like this.
Great outdoor space! Delicious food!
Great outdoor seating (with excellent shading), excellent and knowledgeable service staff, many healthy - and not so healthy - choices on the menu, and easy parking. My wife and I were thoroughly satisfied with the experience.
The food was excellent and so was the ambience. The outdoor dining area was perfect -- we went on a 90 degree afternoon, but my family was incredibly comfortable where we were seated in the covered patio. The staff did a great job keeping everything clean/wearing masks/distancing guests. My family and I had a lovely brunch and will definitely be back!
Was so great to get back to Branch Line. Couldn’t have asked for a more safe, professional; and enjoyable dining experience during covid.
Lovely covered patio, but bar closed; only beer and wine. Bottled wine expensive. Food very good, interesting, tasty, well-prepared.
Our server was quite attentive to our every need. Her helpers delivered out beverages and food in a very timely manner. We never had to look for someone to assist us as they were always checking on us. Our food was delicious and our family visit was nice!
We will return again soon.
It use to be one of my favorite spots before the pandemic. However, I had less than mediocre experience there lately. Menu was downgraded to almost nothing of the original one and food quality was not enjoyable at all
I blame the Covid for that, but I wouldn’t return there anytime soon.
I went here on a date during COVID. The outdoor seating was lovely and the waitress, attentive. The food, however, was of very poor quality for the price. My shrimp scampi was skimpy and very greasy. Made me ill the next morning. My date was unhappy with the steak tips. Tough and not very flavorful. Overall a disappointment. Maybe my expectations were high, as this was the first time I've been out to eat since March!
Let me preface this by saying I know restaurants are doing their best right now following guidelines with that said, we’ve been to Branch line multiple times but this recent time we went with the restriction we were seated on the sidewalk outside of the restaurant. At first I was like this is great since it’s a little quieter over where we were. Our dinner reservation was at 7:30 the place was packed and our server informed us the kitchen was backed up so our food was going to take longer than usual. That was fine, my only complaint was that as it got darker it was hard to see. I two servers if they had candles for our table so we could see our food. They said they didn’t, so my boyfriend had to pull out his iPhone and use the flashlight. We both got the half chicken that was excellent but the lighting put a damper on our experience. They should look into getting lighting for those tables that aren’t directly under the patio or string lights on the trees?
Great use of sanitary and safe conditions. Outside dining is a nice setting. Highly recommend the snap pea salad.
Wonderful as always. The outdoor space is fantastic, the service is careful and respectful of COVID restrictions, the food is really tasty and their wine list is very good. Great experience.
Food has always been good, both before and after covid. Servers wear gloves and masks.
I'm not the easiest person to please. Branch Line has tried multiple times to do right by me, and perhaps (most likely) it's my fault. Thanks for putting up with me all these years. Chicken drippings will always be best in my book. My former review before I edited this was not an accurate portrayal of the quality they have.
Always loved branchline, and while I understand and restriction currently the service was bad and slow
Wonderful outdoor space (under cover) for dining - we happened to have lovely weather but this space would work even if it were raining. Staff was extremely attentive and courteous. Good was delicious.
Excellent meal, great wine, good value. Trying to support our fav restaurants. Branch line is one
Everything was pretty nice. I wish the waiters didn't grab my glass of water by the rim. Touching the part I put my mouth on during a pandemic could easily be avoided. I didn't say anything as I know it's a stressful situation for everyone. Just something that could be used as a teaching point for the staff. Otherwise all good. Nice experience.
Pleasant wait staff, yummy food, and a safe atmosphere. We're happy to have them back after their forced hiatus.
We are always happy with our meal here. The outdoor seating is spacious and their tables are appropriately distanced. Their rotisserie chicken is always juicy, and best served if you ask for a side of pecorino ranch!
Food was very good but both food and most especially wine on the expensive side. $12 for a small glass of wine in a plastic cup. I know we need to use the plastic but restaurant should not be trying to make up their lost revenue by price gouging.
