Brasserie 16 at Devoncourt
A Friendly Welcome, Excellent Food and Good Service are our Priority.
Very little flavour to the gravy. Food overall not quite hot enough. Roast potatoes tough skins.
Good clean food. Excellent service. Easy to get to a sit is a short walk from the Esplanade
Very disappointed, will never visit again , you should tell your carvery person , that if he drops
A piece of meat on the counter, not to pick it up and put it on the plate , at least the dog enjoyed it .
When you serve wine in a cooler better it is chilled before hand, bad food , warm white wine , noisy , stuffy
Hot , the one positive was the friendly waitress,
Good food, lovely atmosphere, good service by polite staff.
Would recommend but does get busy, worth booking
Limited, but varied, number of options on the menu, which was fine. Service was excellent as was the food. will go back again.
Very enjoyable carvery, 5 choices of meat and 7 different vegetables alongside roast potatoes and parsnips.
Excellent service from friendly staff - faultless
Great value & friendly staff in a very convenient location. One of our regular eating places - well worth a visit.
Starter beautiful. Main course, Lovely hot food & tender meat. Given time to enjoy our food before the next course. Dessert wasn’t so good, lemon meringue pie was tasteless & pastry wet, wish I hadn’t ordered & saved my money. But saying that the rest of the food was worth it. We all had different mains & every one enjoyed their food. Lovely view of the sea too. Definitely go back.
The meat is always consistently good, everything piping hot and service and team friendliness excellent. You can’t go wrong with dining here 😀 The cheesecake is pretty lush too! Thank you Team Brasserie 16 😘
Amazing, as always.
Fabulous food as always, attentive and helpful staff at the very busy lunch, will come back again and again
I love this place! Look forward to my Sunday roast. Meat always consistently good and one of the few places locally that serves lamb. Vegetables alway hot and cooked to perfection. They’re also very adaptable to slimming world and vegetarian options. Desserts (when I have room for one) are to die for. Good wine choices and staff are lovely.
Good food. Steak cooked as requested. Will return and try varied menu.
I can only comment on the Sunday (PM) carvery. A choice of 2 from 5 meats - all beautifully cooked combined with 7 different vegetables which were properly hot/warm made for a winning combination. The best carvery that we have had in years!
This is now on our "regular" dining place list. We are never disappointed with the service or the food. We shall return!!
We have celebrated parent's birthdays at Brasserie 16 for many years, always reliable and we have such a stock of lovely memories, thank you.
We took the opportunity of having a belated Christmas meal whilst our son was at home for a few days. Good food, reasonably priced. Thank you
Great carvery on Wednesdays Fridays and Sundays, with lots of different vegetables, also fish or vegetarian option with carvery vegetables available. Short walk to the beach in Exmouth. Our favourite place for carvery.
Everything about this restaurant is exceptional. From the initial welcome at the bar, to being seated, service, friendliness and of course the food! Carvery is to die for... Love you Brasserie 16 @ The Devoncourt 💕
Staff were very helpful, food was lovely and their set menu pricing was very reasonable. And a walk around the gardens after dinner to see the spectacular Christmas lights displays was a nice way to top off the evening!
We had an excellent meal at he Brasserie just before Christmas. We chose the Carvery and it was superb. we have just booked another stay at the Devoncourt hotel for end April this year and have already reserved a table at the Brasserie.
This used to be a very good carvery.
This time there were only 2 cheap choices of meat. Turky & pork.
The roast potatoes were not good. The choice of veg was less than usual. The crackling was like cheap hard porky scratchings that could break your teeth.
The Sherry berry trifle had no sherry in it.
The guy serving carvery was like the Grinch. All the other staff were wonderfull.
They were badly let down by mean cut backs or bad management.
I will not go again.
I suggest the management take their staff to the Saddlers in Lympstone and see what a carvery should be like.
We were there on Sunday to celebrate our 51 year marriage.excellent food ,good service
Very good, value for money, food. The staff could have been more attentive and friendly. They seemed rather busy doing other things and we sat at the table for a very long time after our meal before we caught a waiters eye for coffee. The hotel ambience was very nice, we really appreciated having a nice lounge to sit in after our meal. The happy hour drinks were a lovely surprise.
Lovely food waitress/waiters all very helpfull went back again a few days later.
Needed to find somewhere special, good selection of food, reasonably priced, cosy
Just what we wanted.
Limited menu as a carvery was available, food was OK but nothing special. No dessert menu brought even though requested, kept trying to catch a server's eye but couldn't, would have gone and asked again but by that time we didn't want one, shame as desserts going to other tables looked lovely.
Great steak! Food is lovely and the evening specials are a good idea
Bar service from Josh excellent! Restaurant was poor menu was very uninspiring and carvery was very disappointing. Meat was tough, gammon salty and potatoes and veg old, hard and no flavour! This was a special occasion and was very disappointed.
A return visit that didn't disappoint us. Great food, great service. We shall be back!!
A recent stay with 3 adults and 3 grandchildren at Brasserie 16 at Devoncourt, and we all enjoyed the breakfasts with a good choice of food hot and cold. The Sunday Carvery was also very good and good value.
Perfect as always! Excellent food, wine, service and location. Choice of five meats and numerous vegetables with the carvery. Good choices on the A La Carte menu too including starters and desserts. Very popular with locals and holiday makers alike.
Went here based on tripadvisor reviews. Turned up & immediately felt regret. It’s a dated, drab & tatty hotel restaurant. Food was poor. We later found out that they give guests a bottle of wine to write a good review.
Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend and will definitely go again if I’m in the area.
Always dine here when we are down here on holiday.
Have been to the Devoncourt before and returned knowing that we would have great food for a great price. We shall return in the near future.
Friendly, helpful staff, decor a little dated but spotless, comfortable and in lovely location for views on a clear day. Delighted to have the healthy option of a full slimming world friendly menu alongside the main ones. Good solid menu choices all well presented and excellent value, plan to return for a cravery.
The restaurant is very dated. The exterior of the restaurant is very ugly and the menu is seemingly from the 1970s. The food itself was reasonably well cooked, but the choice was limited. The staff were friendly and helpful.
My best carvery yet and all food was first class. We shall come regularly
The Carvery was excellent and the service was also excellent. Such a lovely
