Typical expat restaurant in Amsterdam : expensive for what it is, and really forgettable.
Location is super nice in the center of Jordan, the feeling of the bar and restaurant is very welcoming.
Service was great but the food was okish, not horrible but not great either, which is a shame. Wine was great through. One last thing is that we booked the table at 9pm and were only seated at9:30pm, meaning that the table are strangely managed.

A great find for us. A fabulous historic canalside house, home to the long established Ambassade hotel revered by writers. The restaurant is beautiful, with wooden floors, immaculate decor and highly professional staff. A wide ranging menu. We went with the three course tasting menu-- which also offered plenty of choices. I had a wonderfully delicate cauliflower and almond soup, my wife a very well made and delicately flavoured salad, then we both chose perfectly cooked very thin slices of high quality beef served with a generous potato gratin and finely sliced vegetables... with a really delicious dessert to end...
good wine list, inexpensive by the glass, including a Bio (organic) chianti...

This was my second time in over two years in this restaurant and it was worth the wait. I highly recommend the chef's menu! The food is delicious, the staff are pleasant and attentive. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world and I am a foodie

We waited an unusually long time to get our food after inquiring several times what was taking so long. The place is beautiful and the ambiance was very nice. Unfortunately the wait was far too long to justify the experience. The duckconfit was a bit dry but I did enjoy the sea bass. It was far too late to order the dessert after the long meal.
We had the flat iron steak and the crêpe, great little place uncomplicated, quality ingredients cooked well
Fabulous meal & great service. The only thing I would improve is the music playing in the restaurant. It was radio music that didn’t fit the ambiance of the restaurant. Hope to go back again!
Been there for lunch. The 3 course set menu was good price for the quality of food. Tho don't expect you will get full from it. The bread will help. Service was good tho i had to made more effort to draw their attention for the check. Well worth a visit.

Excellent meal - really enjoyed the duck. I do not eat lactose or gluten, which they accommodated quite easily. We requested a table with a canal view, which also allowed us to be a bit more isolated from the rest of the diners, which we appreciated. The service was very good, not the best that I've ever experienced, but no issues of any kind. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
Very cozy atmosphere, great service and amazing food. We also tried a Dutch wine here which was quite unusual, but very nice!

The food was simply excellent along with the service and the feel of the restaurant. My wife and I were visiting Amsterdam on vacation. My only complaint is the temperature of the room. As Americans we are used to much more air conditioning that Europeans. In the resturant’s defense, it was exceptionally hot outside. (Above 90!). In spite of my gripe, I would definitely recommend!!

An extremely thoughtful arrangement. Got the chef's menu. I'm very picky with my fish (usually only like sashimi) but the opening dish featured herring, and it was delicious. Changed my mind completely. The tasting menu was like a roller coaster, and the service was excellent and unobtrusive. One of the best meals I've ever had, great value.
The food is very good . We went two nights in a row and had wolf fish each time . The fish was prepared in expert fashion each night .

In Amsterdam only a few days but so happy we found this place on OpenTable. Nice atmosphere. We got table by window in smaller room to left of front entrance. Fun watching canal boats drift by. Started with the halibut ceviche; it is one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. Moved on to the white asparagus soup with scallop and hazelnut. Perfect combination of flavors. Finished meal with lovely lamb chops. Outstanding service as well.
