Great service, lovely setting and delicious food! Would definitely come again!
Our first visit and we benefited from dining at 6pm so had 3 courses for £28 which made it a very good value meal. The full priced menu looked pretty expensive but the food certainly was exceptional, lovely atmosphere and super staff. My main course, Creedy carver corn fed chicken supreme, confit leg, burnt corn, prosciutto crisp, tarragon and red wine jus came in a dome with hickory type smoke which was not only very theatrical but added a super flavour to the whole dish. To be honest, the portions were fairly large for this type of cuisine and I felt over full (my lack of self-control!!) after 3 courses. Maybe serve less food and take a couple of £s of the prices. I know this won't suit the folk who like whacking great platefuls of food so I guess it's about who you are aiming to attract. Overall though, a great addition to Torquay's restaurant choices.
Really good food and service from this family run restaurant. Will definitely frequent again when in the area.
Felt very safe when entering and our table was a good distance from other diners. The service was excellent as usual and we were eager to try the new menu. We were not disappointed our meal was delicious.
Such a wonderful experience. Great service and excellent food.
Excellent food quality, packed with flavour and beautifully presented.
So good we had a second night here too.
Given the covid situation the staff were very attentive and caring.
Great food, lovely relaxed ambience and good service. Would highly recommend for a good quality enjoyable meal for two.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Fine dining without unnecessary formality.
Great food, great service, in the present situation cannot fault anything about safety standards.
A wonderful find and highly recommended.
So good we enquired about Christmas Day
What a delicious dinner. Some of the best food we had in the southwest. The highlights were definitely the scallops and that AMAZING banoffee tart!!
Our 3rd visit in the last 2 months. This time superb Carpaccio of Venison for me and Gin cured Salmon starter for my wife, both bursting with flavour. Followed by beautifully cooked Halibut mains for both (see menu), again full of flavour complementing the fish and to finish excellent desserts. The chef is very talented and highly skilled. Service is efficient, friendly and Covid safe. The Wine list is reasonable priced for the quality
My husband and I had a very enjoyable evening everything was excellent. I am just sorry we didn’t find this restaurant at the beginning of our holiday.
Service excellent, food great and beautifully presented. Nice, intimate setting. Would definitely recommend and revisit if in the area again.
Amazing food, friendly hosts made a great dining experience.
Had a lovely meal here. Me and my partner both had the 28 day aged fillet steak and it was absolutely amazing :)
Only downside was that the banoffee tart was slight burnt on the top
Other then that it was a lovely meal thanks very much
We had the halibut and it was beautifully presented, and so well cooked.
It was a lovely evening, all round.
Lovely outdoors eating on the terrace. Very tranquil with excellent service and wonderful food. Not too elaborate but just right; good traditional Sunday roast without being too much. Staff very attentive.
Although there were other diners in the restaurant, it lacked atmosphere.
The food and service was good.
Although, at no point when ordering our food did the waitress ask if we wanted to order any side dishes (potatoes, veg). We said, oh do we need to order potatoes.
We booked the restaurant for our first night and we were not disappointed the food was out of this world. Beautifully plated and tasted amazing. The breakfast also was of top quality. Cooked fresh. Even the granola which was so good was homemade! All local produce. Highly recommended
A smallish restaurant in a boutique hotel which makes for quite an intimate evening.
Excellent meal, excellent service, good value, would go again
Very pleasant evening , friendly staff ,
nice beer . 1 happy customer.
Was a little bit out of Torquay it was hard to find and ended up in a taxi and not on the bay as the address implies but was a really nice meal away from the hustle and bustle for a change
Wow the food was amazing, service attentive
Would recommend to anyone visiting Torquay.
Good food cooked well and nice sized portions that are not too big
Outstanding fish and meat dishes cooked brilliantly, we both had the opportunity to try something new but there were also some safe dishes for those less adventurous. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere.
High quality dining experience with appropriate care for COVID-19. All courses were excellent
Lovely meal and attention from all the staff. Quiet as a smaller establishment but very enjoyable
This was our first visit and we were delighted and look forward to visiting again
The ambiance wasn’t helped by being seated by the kitchen door the service wasn’t great 1 waiter running around making quite a racket
As for the food no real taste with the starter, and the lamb main was very fatty and grisly afraid to say not a great experience
Lovely fresh tasting food complete with friendly service absolutely delightful
Fine dining at very reasonable prices, quality ingredients cooked well and full of flavour. Although not full on our night it had a nice atmosphere, the staff were very efficient and welcoming. Covid system works well for piece of mind.
Had a fantastic meal here, staff very accommodating and food excellent,
We selected Brasserie on the Bay on July 5 when restaurants started opening after lockdown. The security measures meant we felt safe and could thoroughly enjoy our delicious meal. Despite wearing facemasks the servers were friendly and approachable. Would definitely recommend.
A delightful addition to the Meadfoot area. Will definitely return.
We drove 20 miles to go to this establishment, as it was one of the few in the area, that offers Vegan options, not just veggie covered in cheese. Food was very good, and excellent value. On a February evening the restaurant was very quiet, but apart from that it was very good, Recommended.
Great stay at the Meadfoot Bay and our dinner at the Brasserie was an unexpected gem. We had thought it would be simple refuelling but found it to be a real treat. Lovely menu, beautifully presented ... we even had a pudding which is unusual for us.
Lovely food, lovely staff helped make a lovely evening. We will return
Lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend this lovely hotel and brassiere.
Great to see such respect for food and dining. Service was friendly and warm. Wishing them all the best in evolving into a fine establishment. Will eat here again.
