We have always enjoyed Le Benaix right from its opening
It used to be good ,now it’s very good
Probably now our choice for the best Sunday lunch in the area
Enjoyed the evening but felt the pianist/singer was unnecessary, the restaurant was full, noise levels high and entertainment made matters worse. Quiet background music would have been better from my perspective. One criticism of the food, both my husband and I had the halibut and we both thought it was over cooked.
Went for Sunday lunch with my wife, lovely as always!!
Great restaurant. Excellent food and service. Can't wait for my next visit
Great food & wine list and the service was excellent. Will be back soon
Excellent lunchtime meal. Will go back for an evening meal soon.
Great find and well worth a visit. Good food, smart venue and relaxing atmosphere. Best meal I have outside of London for a long time
Very lovely restaurant food very tasty excellent quality
Visited on a Friday night when they had a resident singer. Menu was varied and we had excellent food. Fantastic service
Delicious food beautiful garden and warm surroundings
Very good food and excellent service.Very pleased will definitely return.
Great food. Great service. Great ambience. A most enjoyable evening with friends
Great food, good value will visit again very soon
This is one of our favourite restaurants, that always provides an interesting menu using high quality ingredients and very well presented. Well presented Servers provide excellent service with discreet attention. The relaxed ambience is ideal for dining with friends/family or as a couple
Shame the music was so loud we could hardly hear ourselves speak.
An impromptu and belated meal (lunch) for my Dad's birthday.
The food was very very good and if I could offer any criticism it would be inconsistent seasoning, either too much or too little on each course.
Service was beautifully gauged by the waitress whom was polite and engaging without being intrusive.
It was very very quiet when we visited but I'm sure the ambience remains calm and understated - not the cheapest but you get what you pay for, our lunch for 3 with 3 courses each and drinks was £160 including 10% tip.
All in all a really lovely restaurant!
Stylish restaurant serving excellent food in country location but easily accessible
Having been highly recommended to visit this restaurant booked it to celebrate my birthday. Lovely decor but whole restaurant lacked any atmosphere. Our waitress was the best part of helping us making an enjoyable atmosphere. Our food was EXTREMELY salty as though double salting had occurred during preparation. This was indicated to our waitress. We even declined a dessert in order to end the evening early. Will not be returning in a hurry.
Yet another fantastic Afternoon Tea.
The selection of savouries and pastries was excellent, and changes periodically, so you do not get tired with the same selection if you visit regularly. There is more than enough provided, to ensure that you have eaten sufficiently.
The service was, as usual, fantastic, and the ambience was relaxing.
This was not our first visit to this restaurant and is always our number 1 spot for date night! We really enjoy the food it is second to none! No Long wait, the service is incredible. The staff remember us every time and make us feel very welcome and comfortable. I really cannot fault this restaurant for anything!! It is my favourite restaurant and I also have been here for afternoon tea which was also great! 11/10!
The whole evening was very good. The food excellent and the venue stunning. The only downside was that there was no one to greet us when we first arrived and we stood for several minutes in the entrance area. Apart from that the service was excellent and the staff very polite. We will certainly return.
Lovely evening, great food, good service lovely atmosphere.
WE have been to this restaurant more than 5 times now, a little disappointed with the time wait for our main course. We had our starters which were delicious and expected an wait of approx. 10 mins. Our wait time was now 30 minutes. We were told at one point your meat is just resting will be 5 mins a further 20 mins later it arrived. The additional veg we ordered were not piping hot I think they had been dished up and left waiting with the meat. Shame as it spoilt the evening.
We have been to the restaurant a couple of times now and the food cannot be faulted. Also the helpful and pleasant make the difference.
Outstanding food and decor just ashame the Waiter forgot our ice and I had to ask again. The lady that took our order looked down her nose at me when I asked for more info on a dish from the menu, Very cold response with no customer service. Looking up this restaurant it appears more on the reserved side which is why we booked for our anniversary. Our table was in the middle of the restaurant and we couldn't hear each other speak so I wouldn't recommend for a cosy, quiet romantic evening
We took advantage of the earlier diner discount, so it wasn't busy but we had a fab meal and the service was excellent.
First time here we went for my husbands birthday. I would highly recommend this place the Food was absolutely amazing. Cocktails were outstanding. Service was impeccable and such a lovely place. Could not fault it at all. Will defiantly be returning very soon.
The restaurant was very quite at the time but we enjoyed a lovely lunch. Great service and good food, good value. Very nice and peaceful sitting next to the window looking out into a lovely garden with lots of outdoor seating.
A very good location with plenty of parking.
This is a fantastic place.
We had a great Sunday lunch here. The service was brilliant, the staff very friendly.
The food was unbeliverable, we each had the two course meal .
We will be going back and would recommend this our friends.
Excellent location spoilt by music slightly louder than one would expect, sometimes difficult to hear what was being said at table!
The meals were good well presented and the staff friendly and efficient. A lovely place for that special occasion and it's on our list for a return visit.
We visited on a Saturday night, there was a live singer who at first I didn't notice I thought it was just piped music she was that good, just in the background so not interfering with your own chats around the table. The food was exceptional I had mackerel for starters, hake for my main and a desert that was like a pornstar martini cocktail but in a tart..absolutely outstanding. We were all drinking the gin cocktails that all of the staff were explaining what we should try if we liked certain tastes. Every single member of staff that we dealt with were polite and knowledgable on the good and drinks being served.
All four of us were very impressed and will definately be returning very soon, honestly can not fault one single thing.
Second visit here. Gardens were pretty to sit and have a pre meal drink. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Food was tasty and well presented. It was an anniversary meal and the celebration desert given to us was a nice touch.
Excellent lunch. Friendly efficient service. Great environment in the restaurant and in gardens.
We went to Brasserie Le Benaix for Sunday lunch. The setting is lovely and had it been drier the gardens would have made a lovely place for a pre dinner drink. The staff are professional, friendly and attentive, but give you enough space and time so there is no feeling of being rushed. The food was excellent quality and having a magician for the Sunday lunch service added a little extra touch that went down a treat! We will definitely be returning and I would recommend it to others.
Great helpful and friendly staff, a lovely warm welcome and very good food, cocktails were amazing and we will certainly be going back there again.
My birthday Lovely night. Great food. Lovely setting. Loved it all. Xxxx
We booked for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary never been before but we absolutely loved it from the moment we arrived. Staff were very friendly and even though Pina Colada’s were not on the drinks list they were happy to make them for us. We went on a Sunday and the food was wonderful they have an excellent chef. To our surprise they made us a special anniversary dessert a chocolate brownie beautifully decorated on a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate it tasted amazing. We were also given a sample dish of new desserts to try a creamy cheesecake, dark chocolate slice and a tangerine bomb all I can say is they were outstanding. We loved it so much we have booked their Afternoon Tea for my birthday.
Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful Anniversary dinner x
The food was very good..... when it eventually arrived! We had not complained, and the problem (whatever it was) was made up for by the genuine reaction of the staff. Not only did they apologise for the long delay but they spontaneously offered to provide the sweet course for free. Almost top marks for everything else, and we will certainly return.
Again very slow service. Arrived at 6:45 and waited 20 mins for our drinks. When questioned were told it takes time to prepare cocktails!! Then 20 mins later had to ask if we could order as no one had appeared to take the order. The food however was fantastic. They just let themselves down with their slow service
