A wonderful experience
Wonderful Thanksgiving experience with a delightful service and delicious food. Most of the food was top notch with particular shout outs for the butternut squash soup, the pot de creme, the moist turkey and the flavorful salmon. (We found the French onion soup to be a tad bit over salted and the Brussels sprouts lacking in flavor.)
Holiday Dinner… Everything was excellent. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
I love this restaurant. It has become my favorite in Georgetown! The Thanksgiving dinner was sensational. Truly the best turkey I’ve ever had. We were seated in the back room, I’ll ask for a table in the front room if we go for another holiday dinner just because the front of the restaurant was brighter. Based on my son’s steak fritte being fabulous our neighbor is going for dinner and steak fritte tonight!
Wonderful meal, excellent attentive and friendly service. We don't come here often enough but whenever we do it reminds us why we should.
The staff was incredible and nice. The food was so good and it was the first time I enjoyed French cuisine. Also drinks are strong. 10/10
Great food, great wine selection, and great staff! Now is the time to enjoy before the fear of the pandemic turns this into an impossible to get reservation.
Super service and great food!
The host staff was amazing from the start. So welcoming and kind. As I was seated, I didn’t realize how close the standard tables were (think NYC elbow to elbow), thus I thought why not try outside since it was an 8:30 reservation on a Saturday (I knew it’d be hard to accommodate a better table). So the host took me outside where we tried to come up with the best scenario but it was too cold, busy, and the heater wasn’t working. We reluctantly ended up at the bar which was perfect. The food was prepared so well. We had escargot, mussels, and branzino. I could easily go back and do it all again. I’m so glad I found this gem. Cheers to everyone who made the experience a perfect evening out.
Tables were very close together but other than that it was a wonderful experience and the food/service was outstanding
The dinner was nice, not great, but the restaurant staff is ride and cares little about customer service. I called two days after the dinner to see whether I had left my credit card at the restaurant. I was left on hold for 15 minutes, then disconnected. I called back to speak with the manager, who refused to speak with me. The man who left me on hold admitted he had done nothing to check about the card. Just hoping I’d hang up. Clearly, there is no system for things left at the restaurant or caring to assist customers. There are better restaurants in Georgetown; not returning to this one because it left a very bad taste.
Meat not cooked to temp requested. Very tired of restaurants serving raw meat as medium.
Exceptional food and service. 10/10 experience.
Highly recommend. Parking nearby great for Georgetown.
Sunny and attractively decorated location for a business lunch - but would also be good for a romantic evening. Food was nicely presented and tasty. Coffee only so so.
My wife and I were very satisfied with Brasserie Liberte over all. Food was delicious. Service was great and very timely.
I love this restaurant. Food and service is always outstanding, that’s why I chose The Brasserie for my best friends birthday dinner. I arrived a bit early and let the host know we were celebrating a birthday. I asked if they
could do something special for dessert. He and the hostess said they normally put a candle in the chocolate mousse. I was so surprised as nothing arrived. The total of the check was about $170.00. My son is having dinner there tonight, we have reservs for Thanksgiving. I’m a bit perplexed. No, I didn’t bring it to anyone’s attention as it was quite busy.
Though it was so cold (there are heaters, the wind just made them somewhat useless), this was a fun experience with delicious food and very friendly service. I look forward to returning!
Took my son and his GF to brunch. From the front desk to the wait staff, everyone was friendly, accommodating and smiled. I ordered the Bloody Mary and eggs Benedict, my son had the French Onion Soup and Steak and Eggs, and his Gf had the avocado toast with eggs.
We loved our evening at Brasserie Liberte! The food was amazing; the service was outstanding; and the ambiance was lively and fun.
My friend and I had a wonderful dinner here! We both started with a French onion soup was absolutely incredible, top 3 I’ve ever had in my life. Next we split a Caesar salad, perfectly made. I had the pork loin au poivre for dinner which was so tender and flavorful, plated on top of mashed potato and sautéed spinach. My friend had the NY strip steak frites which she said was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were delicious and the crème brûlée dessert was the perfect way to end out meal. I will definitely be dining here again!
We dined with another couple. We all ordered something different. Everyone was pleased with their choices. 2 of the guests needed gluten free options which Brasserie Liberte had and clearly marked on the menu. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful in guiding our choices. It was a cold night so most guests were dining inside which kicked up the noise level but we were able to hear each other fairly well.
I'd recommend Brasserie Liberte for casual dining.
Food and service were excellent.
Great experience every time!
Just a nice, late lunch on a cozy fall day- thankful for great gluten free options! Great service!
Wonderful dining experience
So yummy! The burger melted in my mouth.
Great Place, great drinks and very good and professional service, the problem is the food. Dry and cold chicken ( coq au vin), steak cold and not cooked properly, soggy fries and over seasoned, burnt fish. Desserts are a joke.
Not sure I will go back
Awesome burger, juicy and tasty!
Nice, affordable French fare at reasonable prices.
Service (like every restaurant these days) was slow--nobody was manning the reception desk so a line of 5 of us who had reservations had to wait for a LONG time before I went to find someone who could tell us how to get seated. Not only was it slow, though, the waiter was abysmal--disinterested in us. When he finally came by to see if we wanted dessert and I said I had only eaten three bites of my entree because it was not good, he shrugged and took the plate away. No apology, not seeking to remedy that in any way ("Could I get you something else?" "Could we take this off your bill?")
Not a good experience at all...
It was wonderful! The food was great and service was excellent. Definitely recommend the sorbets after dinner because they were delicious, especially the black cherry and grapefruit champagne. Great experience!
Excellent Brunch. Delicious food and drinks in a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Georgetown!
Service was terrible for outdoor diners. We left after drinks because we didn’t think the waitstaff could manage the number of diners present. I can’t speak to the food, the drinks were fine but took a while to get to us.
Genuinely one of the worst georgetown dining experiences I have ever had. I have been to this restaurant multiple over the last few years since it’s opening and every time it was just average, however I kept going back because it is on the more casual side and it’s easy to get a table at in a pinch.
Last night’s experience will be my last and final time at Brasserie Liberte. Not only was my service horrible, but the food was equally bad. I cannot say there was anything redeeming about the two hours of my life I wasted here.
It took them 20 minutes to get us waters after sitting us down, and another 20 for them to bring us plates and silverware. After the server took our order for two soups and an appetizer, the stack of dinner and drink menus were left on our table which was already too small to begin with. I had to call our server over *after* our food had gotten to our table to remove the menus and I was met with pushback.
My $12.95 french onion soup was burnt, cold and the cheese was hardened from sitting out in the kitchen for too long. I’m appalled that someone allowed this past them to be served to customers. After this, we decided not to even bother ordering dinner as to not waste anymore of our time or money sitting in the freezing temperatures on the patio. Very disappointing experience.
Tables were too close together for this Covid era
Service was excellent
Food …some good and some mediocre
Cod croquettes appetizer was excellent
Spouse’s cassoulet was very good and large portion
My steak frites was mediocre at best…steak cooked rare as requested but largely flavorless and frites were on plate soaking up steak sauce rather than served in separate cone
We absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. Our server was very attentive. We would definitely return.
Everything was wonderful! From the good to the service to the ambiance to the price point!! Would definitely go back and recommend to others!!
Delicious brunch at Brasserie Liberté. Enjoy the streak and eggs, a mimosa, and their award winning French 75. Sat outside on a cooler day and was very thankful for the propane lamps. Very attentive servers! Will definitely be back!
Wonderful food and beverages! Would go back 100%
